My FSX is installed in the 64 bit default location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X). I am running Acceleration. I have full read/write privileges for FSX. I bought the Version 4.00 and downloaded it. I ran the .exe as Administrator with my AV turned off. When I enter my e-mail address and Serial Number it starts to install but stops with an APPDATA error as shown in the attached jpg. I tried sending them a ticket and so far I have not received any useful help. I told them on the ticket that I had WIN7 64 bit and they responded asking me what my operating system was! I am trying to setup OpusFSI with my Prepar3d and I have shared lockheed martin folder as well as the weather theme folder. I have granted everyone permission from the root of Lockheed Martin folder on down. Theme folder is shared to everyone and permissions granted to everyone, full control. I have run OpusFSI as Admin and I'm still getting the cannot find folder check permission. In OpusFSI I selected Lockheed Martin as my sim and path as Lockheed Martin, then tried the theme folder still get the error. Thanks, RealKewl

Hi there, I am looking into purchasing another GPS for my planes. I already have the Garmin GTN 750 from Flight1 but I would like to mix it up with something like the GNS 430. I have read around and there has been no definitive answer on whether the Reality XP or Mindstar GPS is better and the posts were also quite old. I am not sure if the RXP one would even work on steam edition. If anyone has one of these GPS systems in FSX:SE I would love to hear about how they work for you and with the Mindstar how well integration went with other aircraft. If there are any other decent GPSs id also love to hear about it Cheers, Leighton T.

Hello guys. I really like Ezdok shake effects. But I don't want to use it because I really hate the view system, and the need to completely set your views by yourself. I got really used to the default FSX view system. Is there any way to use only shake effects from Ezdok? Or.. is there anything else, which has good shake effects? I saw Opus, I saw AccuFeel. But none of it seemed natural. Thanks!

Decided I wanted to turn up the volume of the working ATC voices, did so and now I have not ATC sound at all. Switched voice sound back to where it was before, still no ATC sound. Any one know how to fix this?

So I'm looking for an ATC add on. However, I don't want to be messing around with voice control or anything like that. I want something that works similar to the built in FSX ATC that runs on current Nav Data and uses SIDs/STARs etc. I know there's loads of addons (Radar Contact, Pilot 2 ATC, Vox ATC to name a few) but as far as I'm aware, these only support voice control. And if they support the "select response" they don't make reference to it. I'm new to Avsim, so a bit of background info: I'm running FSX:SE on Windows 10. Hi everybody, I recently downloaded a freeware Barbados add on for fsx se, I put it in the add on folder and launched up fsx, when it was loading it came up with 'FS cannot run without a valid scenery. Cfg, please uninstall and reinstall fsx' I deleted the freeware scenery, installed FSTscenery, which did nothing. I also validated the game cache. I then uninstalled and reinstalled fsx to no success. I've also tried replacing the scenery.cfg with the other one but still get the same error. The only thing that seems suspicious is that the first lines in the scenery.cfg is FS9 global. Which I don't have and I have fsx not fs9. I know this issue isn't rare but it's stop…

Hello, I've had the blackbox a340 and a330 for quite a while now and I use the virgin Atlantic liveries frequently. On the a333 there is the new livery but on the a346 there's only the, in my opinion, ugly and old one. I've had a look online but can't seem to find the new livery for the a346. Does anybody know if there is any new Virgin livery at all. Thanks, Dylan

Appears one file associated with Ultimate Traffic 2, utii.dll, very recently got identified by Windows Defender and quarantined. That is causing UT2 to present an invalid license notification and then it refuses to start. There is detail about it in the Ultimate Traffic forum on the Flight1 support site. Expect you need to be registered there to gain access. Also expect that the issue may be more widespread than Windows Defender as it is pulling from an industry wide antivirus database. FSX:SE suddenly stopped opening. Has always opened quickly with no fuss, such an improvement over FSX boxed. Yesterday was in Steam and bought the HD Airport Graphics Addon, supposed to improved a lot of the little airports to some extent. I have a dilema. My trusty DELL XPS ON VISTA and FS9 has bit the dust. I had everything. Airports, Scenery Addons and loads of addon aircraft. i am about to purchase an all singing all dancing gaming desktop pureley for FSX......but I want some feedback before I spent thousands. Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has found a combination of settings that will generate a realistic thunderstorm in FSX? I'm currently using Rex4 + Soft Clouds with ASN for weather... previously used REX Essentials for textures. Now, I'm greatly impressed with all these add-ons. Every one is well worth the money spent, I don't want to sound like I'm knocking them. This is just as likely to be user error or an FSX limitation than a software issue, and even if it is, they're still superb overall at what they do. I actually went back to GEX because of the fact that third party airport don't mesh well with FTX global. Plus I have had cental rockies and northern rockies from Orbx for a long time. The problem is why i left orbx is that they have yet to build one damn good airport in the state of Idaho. I have pleaded with them to start putting in more idaho airports but they refuse. You have to understand the central rockies scenry was one the first scenries they put out when they first where incorpated and here is it 7 to 8 years later still no Idaho airports. but if you look at alaska or the new Northern Calorfonia scenry they have 2 or three airports already and that has not been …

After using add-on PMDG 747-400X for 2 days, I came back to my PMDG 737NGX add-on. I wanted to fly the instruction manual fligt, from EGKK/08R to EHAM/18R. (I flew this flight already many times without theREDFA problem) After programming the CDU as instructed, I tried to delete the speed/altitude restrictions at Redfa, after which that irritating small hand keeps showing in my screen, and I cannot do anyting else but to restart the computer. During that hand, the sound goes on. I tried for several times now, but every time it happens right there at the Redfa restrictions in the CDU. Very annoying. Purchased this program from AVSIM last night. While it's very pretty, several key pieces don't seem to "line up" with the help manual. This program (which also includes a mouse gadget interface for converting mouse clicks to buttons or keys. Haven't tackled that part yet.
