Hi I have dual Fsx and steam edition installed. I didn't realize this at first but yesterday I noticed my FSX Se edition was showing wrong time zones. Even with FS real time connected LTBA location was showing +1 utc time. I must mention I am using FS REAL TIME with usual config. Tht is when I installed steam edition I didn't make any changes to fs real time. Yesterday when I reinstalled fs real time latest edition I only got the sim option Fsx to install to. No FSX SE option. If someone can suggest any ideas that would be really appreciated

I recently created scenery for the quickly growing area of Hawassa, Ethiopia, including an upgrade to the old airport and the creation of the new airport. The problem is, I have not been able to locate any information on navaids, comms, waypoints, approaches, etc., despite the new airport's opening (apparently) in April! It is inside my fsx.cfg within [TrafficManager] section. Google search comes up rather empty, only showing contents of other peoples fsx.cfg file. Anyone know? Edit: *does* this parameter do?

Just wanted to share some info that some may not know, which I found out today doing some testing..... At major airports, 'Aircraft tab: Aircraft casts shadows on the ground' checked will cause a large drop in frame rate ONLY with 'Traffic tab:Airport Vehicle Density' set On i.e. >None. The reason for this are the in 4 'VEH_air_bagcart' folders/files within the SimObjects\GroundVehicles folder. Normally for performance, you have to turn off the shadows or turn off the ground vehicles. You can have shadows with 'some' ground vehicles by moving out these 4 folders, then you can enjoy remaining ground vehicles (planes too of course!) with shadows On with minim…

So downloaded a free 7 day trial of active sky next. Searched for a metar with rain and TS only to find out my 737 wx radar doesnt even have proper functioning buttons. They dont do nothing, the mouse cursor doesnt change to a hand or anything, they dont get pushed or anything. The 737 is updated 1.10.6461 according to PMDGS operation center.

Hello, It occurs frequently that the initial communication from the cockpit (‘Ground, we are ready for pushback’), is not being answered. In most cases releasing the parking brake makes the process running again, but occasionally that doesn’t help. In such a situation pressing Shift-P has no effect. Slewing is the only option to get the aircraft moving out of its parking position. As far as I can see there is nothing wrong with the script. I’m curious whether anyone else has encountered this, and possibly has found a solution or work around. Thanks. René

Help! I can't figure this out alone. FSX collapses to the toolbar and is paused at random. Most times if I hover the mouse the small screen appears and I can click into it and resume my session. Some times not. I have disabled Kaspersky AV - no difference. Event Log shows nothing so I dont find it easy to trace the fault. Happens in various locations around 15mins or so into a flight. Hi, A few years ago a BGL file that allowed you to access OZx Airstrips through the FSX setup flight UI was created and made available. The link to where it was located is now dead. Does anyone have a copy of this file or do they know where it could be found and downloaded? BTW I know that part of the fun is finding the airfields using "proper" navigation, but I want them to be available in Airhauler 2 and so need the BGL so that can happen. All the best, Neil

So I just purchased Kennedy Airport from FSDreamTeam but when I try to run the installer, it says I need FSX SP2 or Acceleration to run the installer and it won't let me install it. But because I have FSX Steam, I already have SP2 and Acceleration built in... What could be wrong and how could I fix it? Thanks! :smile:

When I start FSX and I'm in the cockpit the Garmin screen is black and I can't turn it on. There are two avionics switches on the left side of the pilot's seat that is turned on. I even went as far as un-installing then re-installing. Any ideas ?

Does anybody happen to know of a package that contains the PAirbus A380 for FSX with the VC? All the packages I've found either only include the VC with the FS9 version or include something like the Thomas Ruth A340 VC. Is it possible to successfully merge the FS9 VC into FSX?Thanks,boeing247

I'm running FSX SE, and use spad for all my Saitek panels. I have a problem with the Saitek Switch panel in that after a few minutes flying the landing gear lights might show one green light and maybe a red light whilst airborne when there should be no lights showing at all, then on landing when I put the gear down the three lights should be all green but they don't change from the one green and one red light from when it first errors. I've re-installed spad but I ccontinue to get this problem. Is there anyone out there experienced the same problem and might have a fix?

I thought I would like to try the Depth of Field (DoF) effect with Reshade/Mastereffect, but before spending lots of time fiddling, I just wondered whether anyone has tried this effect in FSX and if so what DoF settings work best. Also does autofocus work with DoF, so that when one looks out of the VC window does it look sharp or still blurry because of the DoF settings? Hi everyone, How do i get rid of fakes in FSX like Orbitz and others, and also get rid of ATC calls to those airlines. I may want to try one of the AI payware software to replace them. I really only fly GA from Skylane up to the Phenom 300; but tired of seeing them at the airports and hearing ATC call them. Any recommendations greatly appreciated! To friends in the USA, happy 4th! Hi there, Does anyone know of a product that gives you the low drone of the brakes when landing an aircraft. Hello, I've been working on the airfile and aircraft configuration file for the FSX G-21 Goose for a while now and the work is nearly complete. However, I was wondering if it were possible that someone with actual experience with the real aircraft could chime in on what the plane actually does and says during different phases of flight, and what it's stall characteristics are, to help confirm the results of the work done so far. Hi, In somee places I get a double coastline, a coast with an extra beach further out. I see this near Dubrovnik, (with UTX Europe installed BTW, but that is out of the coverage area), in the Greek islands (when I have a Greek island addon installed) and in the Indonesian islands. I need to upgrade my SSD drive as my add-ons are quickly out growing the 120 GB I'm looking to go with 500 GB drive (or close to) but have a question about transferring data; I plan to transfer the contents of my existing SSD to a folder on my Desktop HD. Then I will install the new, larger SSD ensuring the replacement takes on the same drive name as the previous. Then I will transfer the folder back to the new drive. Will this work? I'm thinking FSX won't have any problems recognizing the data on the new drive as long as the drive name stays the same? Or, is there something or some step I'm missing that will complicate the change? Any advice would be a…

I have the Aerosoft Piper Super Cub working fine in FSX. Since it is a FS9 plane there are no thumbnails for all the 25 versions. Does anyone have thumbnails that they have made or know of some site to find them. Converting the panel was a simple task with FSPanelSudio. Thanks, Bob.

I am having a problem with my installation of fsx sp2. when I start fsx and try to select an aircraft or an airport , it hangs for about a minute or two then it loads the plane or airport selected. Is there any way to fix this problem or does anyone else experienced this problem and what did you do to fix it??? Any tip or suggestion is greatly appreciated. P.S. this only happens when fsx is initially started and any other time afterwards I don't have this problem.

Hi, is there any external addon to add a 2d panel overhead an pedestal to this plane?? i have a 6 monitor setup with one monitor for the overhead and the other just for the pedestal and blocking the main view with an ezdok movement is taking a step backwards in realism.

Noticed since upgrading to Pro edition a number of months ago that when going from outside view of aircraft to inside, the VC panels seem dark. If in the VC I hit the F9 again all of sudden the panels brighten up. Not sure what the issue is. Not a big deal and have been flying with it this way for a while but if I don't have to tap F9 twice it would be nice. Using P3D v3 Ezdok for view switching
