Hello all, I'm back from another of my long term breaks from FS. I mainly like to fly small GA aircraft and have been using the stock 172 since I started flying again last week. However, I would like to use the GPS with charts (from SimPlates) to fly actual GPS approaches. Unfortunately, the stock FSX not unexpectedly has very outdated intersections and nav aids. I found one thing I thought might update them but it does not appear to have done so. Can anyone either recommend a way to do this or recommend a good add-on GPS or small GA plane with GPS that can have it's nav data updated? Thanks! Ken

I can not input Arrival airport there are no choices on screen also leg page shows no route even though i entered one keypad will not work to put a fix in such as arrival airport and /100 /30 key pad will not work. .I was able to enter route on route page and also able to enter runway on departure airport but nothing is in arrival page to select.Any help would be great . I have no problem with other aircraft fmc

I never expected it to know about the fires burning around Los Angeles but lo & behold Active Sky has visibility down to 7 miles with a general haze the entire flight from KSMO to KPOC. Yeah, I know, it is only showing what local ATIS is using but still, compared to the built "real world Jeppesen" updates it is an order of magnitude better.

Over many years, like many here I have built up a very good FSX+addons setup which I am very happy with. I have never used FSX Steam Edition. Recently I installed another Steam game on my system for the first time (no Steam architecture had been near the machine previously). To my horror, after letting a steam app install on my machine, FSX normal edition would not start up, citing an invalid license. WIth my FSX install running to almost 300GB, plus many, many tweaks, I feared the worst. Eventually after much research I found that if I uninstalled SP2 and reinstalled it, I was given the opportunity to relicense FSX normal edition. So I got out of that…

Does anyone know if there any chance of CLS 747-200 having a second life in P3d v4? How come I can't find even questions about this anywhere? I like to fly my study level Pmdg cargo 744 but once in a while I'd love to hop onto the flite 742, cargo version, for a change.

Don't suppose anyone has any further insight on this? My Water detail is 1x and I've still had this exact issue with the ENB, and I despite messing with all the Day/Night settings I still have the problem of haze disappearing arbitrarily when looking down, particularly at high altitudes. What am I missing? I'm surprised this doesn't aggravate everyone who uses the ENB.

Gentlemen, I had REX TD with soft clouds then today I bought the REX SF-3D .......I need an advice please, should I uninstall the TD before instaling the new REX? or leave it?.......? I did a quick research I couldn't find the answer Many thanks Alaa Riad

Avsim shows that models required for this A319 Skytraders texture are Project Airbus A318 pa32x_fsx_models.zip or pa318fd_V2.zip (which I believe has been replaced by V3). I find this confusing as the repaint is for a A319, not an A318. Also the instructions refer to copying an addition to the aircraft.cfg file which incorrectly names the texture as .sks. I have copied the texture across to both the suggested aircraft and have used both texture names in the config file but aircraft does not show. Can someone please confirm which current Project Airbus files are required for this repaint.

Hi all - quick question for anyone who is familiar with Ezdok how Ezdok works. When it comes to the default aircraft, Is there a limit on where you can move the camera view points in the VC? With my add-ons i can hit the Num 2 key and then position the camera wherever I want in the VC, with the default aircraft there seems to be a limit to where I can move the camera in the VC. Anyone else experience this? Thnx!! Richard

Hi there, I recently converted my FS2004 Traffic Files to FSX Format. When I used the FS9 Traffic Files with the FS2004 AI Aircraft, in FSX All AI Aircraft would show on the ground, and in the Air, now not all in the Air, and on the Ground at Aerosoft Mega Airport Brussels for example, no AI Aircraft other than mine. Is that because the FS2004 Aircraft will need to be converted to FSX Format aswell, when the Traffic files are converted to FSX Format? Therefore why do some FS2004 AI Aircraft still show in the Air ? Some that show in the Air, are FS2004 Native interestingly. Also can FSX AI Traffic Files, be converted to FS2004 AI Traffic File Format ? C…

Many thanks for the Faroe Islands scenery. It is much better than the stock FSX stuff with all the inappropriate trees. I live on Orkney and have photo scenery for Orkney and Shetland which is also much better than the default scenery. It makes vfr flying so much more enjoyable. Many thanks again Regards Chris

Everytime when I try to install FSX on Windows 10(64-bit) the installation is almost finished. But when it says "Registrating Modules", an error occures and the setup aborts the installation. I need hlp, because I alreay re-installed Win10 and I actually just want to test my freshly bought PMDG 777&737 and Airbus A320/321!

Hey guys, I recently installed REX on my system and i have since experienced problems with all my water textures in FSX SE. All my water textures (land and at sea) are constantly flickering with a large amount of small white dots and has a "snowy" type affect, as though watching an old Tv with no picture tuned. It is happening from any altitude, at any time of day and at every location around the world. There is no detail in any water at all either. I have installed on my PC REX Essential Plus, FTX Base, Global, Vectors and other FTX products. I recently had to re-install FSX Gold and the Acceleration Pack on my computer. It has Windows7 Home Premium 64bit, and a GTX 550Ti video card. FSX installed fine, but when I try to open the game, it says the vcard is incompatible and I have to nstall the most recent drivers. I already did that. It worked previously just fine on a computer with Windows XP. Have never had this problem before. Would like to know if anyone is familiar with this issue, and if so, what may fix the problem. I been recommended reshade, However can not get it to work as the title says. Before I had the DX10 fixer install it never worked. Using the updated patch. I posted support on there forums and well, no answer and it seems others having the same error with no answers. I keep playing around, but no luck :( also how do you uninstall?

Got the steam edition, running DX10. We all know it runs x32bit and posting to see is there an option to chnage it to x64bit? Once it's x64 going to have less proplems and the game might able run better! if I'm right?

I have had FS2004 since i was 22. Now I am 36. Three months ago my SSD crashed. I lost everything. Including the SIM. I do have a backup copy, but it is FOUR years old. When i started it i was devastated.... old AI flying around, defunct airlines. And I am not talking about the sceneries I got in four years..... My SIM is 200GB, my AI_Aircarft.txt file has 4133 entries. I installed all of them manually and always kept the sim up to date when new flightplans arrived. I did this two times a month and in a batch... took me 6 to 8 hours every time. I think I have 98% of world's regular airlines and 70-80% or charter and BJ. For obvious reasons I am really frustra…

Hey, guys, I was hoping somebody could help me out. I was trying to do a flight to Bermuda from New York today in the Wilco Feelthere Embraer 190 payware aircraft (in Jet Blue's livery), and even after loading my aircraft with the flight plan into fsx, the flight plan never appears in the FMC of my aircraft, and if I try to enter the flight plan (KJFK-TXKF, which is the airport code for Bermuda's airport), I will get either of the following error messages: 1. Flight Plan is Invalid 2. Invalid Entry This is extremely frustrating, and the manual that came with my product does not clearly explain how to input flight plans into this aircraft. Hi guys so i bought a new pc and with it got hands onto pmdg 777 and qw787. QW 787 works flawless and have been running on top at the moment, i get around 30 fps average in vc while fps reaches to 60 without any problem. If you're wondering here are my pc specs: I5-2500k and yes overclocked it to 4.1Ghz GTX 960 4GB 8GB ram And yes p3d has already been ruled out of my sim choice because of poor performance compared to fsx. Hallo, I fly the default FSXSE CRJ700 a lot. The VC is decent but the texures are not high rez enough for me. So I'd like to fire up GIMP and tweak them to make em sharp and HD. I want to do to the CRJ what the OzX team did to the default Goose (they did a HD Goose Redux). However I cant seem to locate the VC texures files. Im looking for the instrument panel, the cockpit windscreen pillars, the circuit breaker boards etc. The panel folder only has the BMP files for the 2D panel. Im guessing the VC and its textures are in the Bombardier_CRJ_700\model Bombardier_CRJ_700_Interior.mdl Am I right? What program do I need to access the VC? How do I open a .mdl? …

Hi fellow simmers, I messed up my Wilco's Falcon 7X aircraft.cfg file. I lost the camera config part of it... I know it would be easy to re-install it and get back a clean copy but I am lazy and I made a lot of changes in this file.
