Without active Sky's running in the background the game can run fine at 20% to 30% and even then it does happen where it goes to 80% to 90% as an big jump when flying then down again. Before I haven't had this bad CPU spikes, i7 3930K 3.80 GHz. I able to chnage the affinity mask so that it runs on all cores rather then one. Rex 4 with clouds HD Airports Active sky's when running! Rex 4 is loaded and installed as medium settings not set as high. Trying to stream isn't easy as it goes 100% Running an GTX 680, resolution 1920-1080-32 Not in preview DX10 when it does spike up you can tell when it lags a little then back down to 10% to 15%

I'm after an very good ENB to improve the looks when I'm flying. like all things thee are allot and wanted one that really shows nice in day as well as realism at night. Gotta work with. Rex 4 & Soft clouds and active sky next. Seen an good amount but no idea what pack is stable

I'm looking at recording some in-flight video and am wondering which software I should consider using. At the moment I'm looking at Nvidia shadowplay, or is there some other software I should consider? Freeware is the important bit I guess Thanks fellas.

Hi FSXers, I don't think I've ever posted a topic on the forums here (long time lurker) but I wanted to share a really fantastic combination of settings which I found through trial and error give me some outstanding smoothness/performance in FSX. I'm running the steam edition but I'm guessing this may be beneficial for standard boxed FSX too. Flying into AI filled payware airports with the PMDGs is improved tremendously. Hi guys, Lately I have moved to play with FSX-SE for a bit as I need to get my money's worth with my FSX PMDG 737, MD-11 and Majestic Q400 32 bit addons. The only heavy bird that I have in 64bit is PMDG 777 but before I upgrade tons of my addons into the new 64bit. I want to get mileage from PMDG 737 and MD-11 that I have invested in. I do notice without FTX regions installed that I can use these birds work quite well with FSDT airports and FTX Global+vector+openLC. But help me out on what should I keep on Vector. can't figure out how come the gps's magenta line of my sr22 is pointing to the opposite direction.if the waypoint is to the north the gps points to the south ? How do i fix this ?

Hi, How are you all doing. I am lately experiencing an issue with FS Real Time with my FSX-SE. Not sure if anyone has or had experienced this. When I start FS Real Time, I get windows installer screen, probably trying to update FS Real Time but it doesn't go beyond preparing to install and eventually get prompt unable to contact server. I tried to uninstall and re-install FS Real Time and I got an error message along the way saying SCNCFG argument does not exist :S Not sure what else to do here. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you

Is there any way to limit which airports are displayed in FSX or P3D when you go to set up a flight? For example, I have scenery installed that pretty well covers North America and Europe and I'd like to only be able to search and select airports from those regions when I go in to plan a flight. If not, is there any flight planning or other 3rd party app that lets you limit the airport selection and interfaces with P3D to set that up as the flight location? Thanks!

I know how to setup VNAV for a descent to a specific waypoint. However, afaik it should also be possible to use VNAV for for instance a STAR and approach where the AP keeps all constraints etc. So far I've not been able to do that (my plane goes straight through all constraints in VNAV) and I can't find tutorials that show me how to do this, only how to create a TOD for one waypoint and how to get there. Which I already know. I also asked this on the Majestic forum but so far it's still not made clear to me how to get this done. The only tip I got was to not use Alt Sel (while Airline2Sim tells me to ALWAYS use it). Maybe someone here knows how to get this done?…

Microsoft FIXED this problem in Thursday's (Nov. 30) update: KB4051963 . I just installed the update and restarted my computer, and the Create Window problem is solved. Now, popup windows like Map and Flight Analysis started from the Menu work again. View your installed update history to see if it has been installed, and if not, ask Windows to "Check for updates". Hi, I am facing a permanent issue with the default scenery of some airports, for which I would like to request support. I had noticed that there is no ILS available on UTAA and OOSA airports, no matter that current AIRAC was showing such. In order to prevent from clarifications, I would like to say that corresponding AIRAC was loaded in the AC and the plane was fully prepared for flying an ILS approach. I had asked support in another forum thinking that it had something to do with the AIRAC, but was informed that these are purely scenery features, having nothing to do with the charts database. As an avid Saab 2000 flyer, I am looking for better that the virtualcol model on fsx. Apparently the BSPM FS2004 download is amazing, so keen to try. Has anybody used the BSPM Saab and migrated it successfully ot FSX? And if so, can you tell me how to do it?! Other Saab suggestions gratefully received with thanks.

Hi guys, Reading through here and other forums I see a few are having issues getting VNAV to work. Here is just a little tutorial I whipped up on my way to LOWW. Step 1. During cruise. Ok, so you're at your cruise altitude, and in my case this is 21000'. I brought up my 2D FMS. - Select FPL- what you are looking for are your altitude constraints and also the altitude you want to be at for your approach. For this example I'm going to ignore some of the constraints and only worry about getting myself at the correct altitude for the approach, which is the ILS 29 into LOWW. General topic title... but yeah I did the first sample flight and it went fine. I then started watching some you tube videos for cold and dark startup (up to ready for takeoff). Thought I had this down. Oh this is P3D v4.1 the Pro version of the Q400. Went to fly tonite. Problem #1 - can't get the APU started. EXT power is on ac/dc and the generator is visible outside the window. I run the self test then start it. It actually does start as I can hear the little jet running, but the GEN button stays amber WARN and when i press the button it won't go green. What's the deal with that? Hello I recently purchased the Dash 8, and am curious to what the aurasim EFB does ? It does not seem to be too expensive at $5 a year. Is it a browser based app, or does it activate something in the airplane too ? Other than calcualting V-Speeds, what other features does it have ? Thanks

So on my flight from LEBL to EBBR on a 737PMDG NGX The virtual buttons stopped working, I moved my seat forward and it fixed it for a couple seconds but the issue persisted. The 2D cockpit still worked fine even though the gauged did not update. It has been working fine for over a year. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

AFX works fine bringing up default airports in Steam but it can't find Orbx or My Traffic airports. I went to From Scenery File to get My Traffic airports and it brought them up. I deleted a gate from KDEN and when I tried to save it AFX told me it was not an active scenery file. Yet it comes up fine in Steam. I wouldn't know how to tell it where to find an Orbx airport. Is there any way to tell AFX those airports really are active? Noel

Does anyone know if it is still possible to get your Realair license reset? I emailed Rob Young several days ago with no response so far, unless of course he is on holidays or something. Just completed an excellent flight from St Louis to Dallas over MSE Missouri and Texas V3 using the PMDG 738 and ProATC-X. Details hidden below. I have the latest Windows10 v1709 installed w/the latest KB4051963. Was able to accelerate to 4x's during most of the flight but the weather was heavy throughout the flight! On approach, I went to the wingview and watched the landing from there. Got amazing fps and lots of VAS remaining even though I had a lot of addons running. Happy about that. Hi there, I'm quite new here, but, I decided to create an account since I'm not being able to solve an issue, and it seems to be that there's nonthing about it out there. Easy question: how to deal with all the disk space that FSX (Steam Eadition) start consuming once you start playing? I believe that it's related to replay's matter, but I cannot see anything where I can configure it. I mean, something like: please donot record more than 100 seconds (that you may use in the future by clicking replay)... That is cosuming the very few free space that I've got on my SSD, and once it's consumed, FSX starts triggering errors. I'm talking about more than 2 gigas …

So I use FSX:SE and I was looking through the settings today and dropped down the device tab. The default selection is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.0.0 but there are two more selections. Should I use a different one? Does anyone know why it does this? I do have 3 monitors if that does anything. Picture
