After I'm done with the settings page and I'm in the cockpit I get a Microsoft Flight Simulator Message that reads; ' Error Creating Child Window '. If I click on anything in the menu bar another pop up reads; ' An Unsupported Operation Was Attempted '. The Sim freezes, Chase Plane automatically disconnects and then FSX SE disconnects. The Steam Page remains. At first, I thought a recent Windows 10 update was the culprit so that was un-installed with the problem remaining. I deleted the FSX Config. to let it rebuild, but no change. I also have PREPARED v4 but that's working fine on another drive.

I had put this at the end of another topic but thought it better to start another topic. I have the Tecnam P2006T twin engine aircraft. Mine loads with both engines not running. With FSX, I find that normally using CTRL+E will start one engine and then using CTRL+E again, will start a second engine. With my P2006T the first CTRL+E does start one engine but the second CTRL+E has no effect. I've tried loading another twin engine aircraft with both engines running and then changing to the P2006T. The P2006T does then start with both engines running but then they immediately shut down i.e. using the above double CTRL+E procedure will only start one engine. Any way…

While trying out FSW I got used to using the U key to bring up the compass tape at the top of my screen. Going back to my FSX I notice that does not work even though it is listed as a usable key under missions. Is there ant way of switching that on in a cfg file or something?

I am trying to reinstall my FSX program. Searched the internet on how to get past the install error. Finally found the solution to reinstalling FSX with the kb92080.exe and I get this message from DOS, "resetsldl is not recognized as an internal or external command.." If there was a way to insert an image for you guys to see, I would.

Can you recommend any environmental ground sounds add-ons in order to give the sim more immersion on small airports for bush flights? Is there any sound package with birds, animals sounds on the background? After some search on Google it seems there are few add-ons some of them very old. Thank you

Hi, I have a problem with the depiction of the map in GPS and in FSX. Example: I have the plane on a PHNL Honolulu runway, but can not see the island Oahu on the map and the airport seems to be in the water. I only can see Big Island but no other islands at all. The airports are there but all are in the *water*. Any help would be highly appreciated. Best regards Alfred

Hi there, I noticed after upgrading to the latest version, that it´s not possible anymore to type in the fuel onboard for tank 1 and 2 separately. Is this intended or is it a bug? Thanks for your info.

Hey guys Basically what's happening is when I am pressing my assigned button on my joystick (saitek x52) the brakes apply but for a split second and then release even if i am holding the button down, very confused as i can't think what has gone wrong

Now I could be doing something wrong, if so I can't work out what. I've been following some airline2sim tutorials and did the VOR today a few times as I was trying to work out why the FMS would delete my flight plan when very close to SAM VOR. Flightplan is as follows: EGKK - EGHI (VOR DME rwy02) Depart RWY 8R, SID SAM3Z, fly to SAM VOR then turn left to follow outbound radial 192 for 8nm, then right turn to intercept inbound SAM 030 Radial for RWY02. Now everything goes to plan until I'm about to reach SAM VOR. It is at this point that my flight plan changes and the flight plan switches to go around waypoints. Not sure why but when I go to take a screen shot in FSX:SE I get the message:"Unable to open screen shot file". Any one know how I can correct this?

Not sure how to solve this. I downloaded the freeware scenery for Assam in India because it contains VECA - Chabua Air Force Station. One of the bases used for Flying the Hump, although this is the modern equivalent. I recomplied the bgl in ADE after altering the field elevation to what it should be - a further 12 feet higher at 362 AMSL, but the problem remains as shown. Any ideas please?

Hey guys. I've never used Activesky weather engine and now its on sale and i'm considering it seeing that my OpusFsi has broken. I'm hoping to get some feedback from the Activesky users on your experience with it and how does it compare to Opus and FsxWx, which is what i'm using right now. I liked the camera and turbulence effects in Opus.

Hi I'm finding that after loading any aircraft, the aircraft appears to be not sitting level on the runway but at an incline and then falls . Also some aircraft even have the engine running on full power and moving violently around. What could be causing this feature? Ray

Hi! I recently took my VRInsight Compo MCP, back from the shelf, after not using it for a year. And when I plug in power and usb, it wont start. Seems like there is a electrical problem, or idk. Has any of you guys experienced simmilar?

Hello, I have just bought, and installed PMDG 737. As you experts will know it has a 3D Cockpit. In other sims Iv'e used there is the option to switch between 2D and 3D. With a 3D cockpit im stuggling to see different panels properly. Can you tell me how to move from panel to panel, so as to see them properly? Many Thanks Mike

Firstly want to thank majestic for a fantastic add-on. I bought the dash8 over a year ago and left it in the hanger whisIt I learnt the 737ngx. I now upgraded the dash 8 to the P3Dv4.1 and took the time to start learning it and wow, amazing job you guys done. Now the 737 is the hanger! Just wondering if majestic is looking at adding windshield rain effect as it is the talk of the town at the moment. I've seen that the dash already has a fogged up window effect which is great. I apologise if this has been spoken about but I have not been able to find anything. Regards Branko

Installed AES Mega Airport Amsterdam Schiphol EHAM for FSX Acceleration SP2. I loaded the FSX default Aircreation Trike Ultralight on runway 18L then I started flying to take a look around the airport but the terrain started gradually changing weird as per screenshot shows. The runways and ground doesn't look right. How can be fixed?

Hi All, Been getting into the fast jets lately. Starting off with the wonderful L39 from LotusSim. Great add-on that can't be praised enough. I'm wanting to fly one of the more advanced craft, but can't decide on which I like best. I found a Mig-29 that looked good, but when I got it it just felt very unrealistic. Also most switches in the cockpit were inop and I'm really a systems guy and love flying and operating the aircraft 'by the book'. Has anyone tried either and could venture an opinion? I'm looking for a good FDE, but also some reasonably accurate systems modelling. It doesn't need to be PMDG level but I find it somewhat immersion breaking when cli…

All of a sudden when i power up the aircraft i get constant sounds and flashing light on the top overhead..... Ihavent tried reinstalling again the plane. I jsut wanted to ask first if this has happened to someone before...
