I am experiencing some unexpected ATC directions after reloading a previously saved flight. Basic Scenario FSX-SE flying a Carenado EMB505 from EGPK to LIRP with default ATC. After approx. 30 minutes into the flight, flying "own navigation" on autopilot (current course 160°) and tuned to Manchester Centre. I then save the flight, end flight, exit FSX and shut down. On returning later, start up FSX and load the saved flight. After establishing that the plane is fully configured and that the correct waypoint is active on the FMC. I request IFR clearance. Manchester Centre responds and then directs me to turn right onto heading 340°, which it keeps repea…

can any1 pl explain how to do vordme approaches when vor is not near the runway?. the reason i am asking is that 1. when vor is not near the runway and we set the course in the vor from the approach it does not lead us towards the runway as the vor station is away from the runway. In such cases if i LOC the vor then i will not take me toward the runway. eg is below link https://1drv.ms/i/s!AsC_T1OTnSaeyg3YaoJUwuERNDzQ if i set a course of 177 in vor , then it will not lead me towards the runway. please advise if iam not getting things correct

Hi, The problem/question: WHY DOES MY NEW PC USE 650/1100 MB MORE VAS THAN MY OLD PC UNDER EXACTLY THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES???? I use both pc's in a network, the old serverpc is replaced by a new one. FSX Gold Edition is on both of them. See attachments for specifications of the pc's and settings. As I did run in VAS/OOM problems over NL2000/Eham on my new pc, and that never happened on my old one ,I started testing. On both pc's the settings/aircraft/airport/scenery are exactly the same. I tested on EHAM (NL2000), Auckland (ORBX) and Bristol (ORBX). There were two versions of NL2000 involved 4.07 and 4.09 but the testresults were the same with both versions, s…

Hi, I have a new good computer, 3 monitors, and have been having a good experience so far but wanted to let others know of a very good improvement I found, which actually may be outdated or well known, idk, because I'm kind of new to flight sim. I changed my config setting from "WideViewAspect=False" to "WideViewAspect=True". Objects that I couldn't see before appeared, the resolution increased significantly, and the field of view ability increased a lot also. I'm very happy with the change, its a whole new experience. Of course I don't know if this is because I'm running 3 monitor's or not, but I wanted to share this info regardless.

In the last week or so I am having a problem getting ANY engines on the King Air (default & Milviz) to start. They will not start using CTL E nor will they start using the panel switches. Any ideas or suggestions? My Baron 58 starts ok, as do my other aircraft. I have not made any changes to the aircraft except for installing the latest beta release of the Milviz 350i. I have also tried uninstalling the 350i but that does not seem to make a difference. I have to admit I have not flown any King Air recently and may just have forgotten a switch or step in the engine start procedure. Thanks in advance, Bob.

Every other airport I've tested is working fine...it is just Boston that is causing that error. I've already ran the OrbX AEC-Tool without success Many thx in advance

Is it possible to keep Florida (and other southern states) the same season year round? Flying right now into and out of Florida show the leaves changing colors. However, that obviously isn't Florida.

Dear friends, Whets wrong with the Portland International Airport? It's one of the main hubs in USA west coast, an ANG main base and yet I haven't seen any good payware or freeware scenery for FSX or P3D... Why no developer has made a good PDX airport? Any restriction due to the fact that it's an ANG base? Does anybody know if there's any developer working on it?

Hi guys, recentley all the aircraft on FSX seem to have a substantial delay when I deploy the landing gear. Example: I Press landing gear button and it won't come down for almost a full minute, after that gear then deploys on its own, sometimes it works fine but can be annoying when it does do it. This happens regardless of aircraft selection and failures are turned off. Anybody else had this and know what's going on?

Hello, I have anew PC Icore i7 7700 CPU @360GHz RAM 8 GB W10 Home 64 bit NVDIA 750Ti 8GB I have reinstalled FSX-SE 4 times with a fully new install. All left overs where removed. On a new HD installed. The same airplanes as before on my old sytem also W10 but other motherboard and a i3 intel card. Now I have regulary (once a day and sometimes with starting FSX the message : Cannot create childwindow. I try to search and google but no result. When during flight i open the menubar the message comes again and flightsim close itself. Anyone can help me as on steam they asked me to update my drivers but they are and furter no commen…

Hello all, Today I hopped on to VATSIM and was ready to fly from Sydney down to Melbourne in a PMDG 737-800. However, as soon as i jumped into the air, the wind began to change from a crosswind from the left at 15 knots to a crosswind from the right at 8 knots, complete polar opposites. As a result, my autopilot wobbled all over the place and could barely fly in a straight line. My speed barely went over 160 knots even with gear down, flaps up and full throttle resulting in an underspeed alert. I'm guess I'm not the only one wishing they could turn off all P3D/FSX controllers to avoid the crazy duplicate assignments these sims give to controllers by default. Bit of a pain to edit six or so device settings just to delete everything so I can then safely reassign everything in FSUICP. However with controllers disabled in the sim (by checking the sim's "Disable Controllers" settings box) OPUS camera view button assignment will not recognize any controller button. So is it just a case that, unlike FSUICP, OPUS is reading button presses from the sim and not at the "deeper" level that FSUICP must be doing? Thanks, gb.

Just to let everyone know, I have removed the listing of followers for the Main Topics, like Hangar Chat, P3D Forum, FSX Forum, etc., and not to specific threads in those forums. It appears our upgrade earlier this year might have somehow corrupted this notification. For instance, in the FSX Forum, I found 189 followers but, when I clicked on the followers, it showed only 30 names and at the bottom, only 16 others (which does not add up to 189). Of course, many of them might have indicated they did not want others to know they were following but many of those following were old registrations and the math did not add up so decided to start fresh. Not exactly sure where to pose this question so I'll try it here. Since flight plans from Plan G can't be used in the GTN 750, can I do a flight plan in plan G upload it in FSX, then manually upload the same flight plan in the GTN 750 and go from there. Would this be a viable work around, or would there be a conflict somewhere that would prevent me from using the GTN 750? Not exactly sure how all this interacts. Just wondering if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction. Got hooked on the GTN 750 because of it's ease of use and would like to use it with PF3.

I have recently re-installed FSX and most of my add-ons but for some reason the scenery library has started to reject any more scenery that I manually add. Scenery that is automatically added is fine but not the case with manually added scenery. I have never had this before. I am following the correct method posted in 100's of threads but it still wont stay in the library. First I will drag or copy the folders into the add-on scenery folder, then fire up MS-FSX (installed onto my D drive not C) and go into the scenery library and, click the add scenery tab and locate the scenery, click on the scenery then click on the white part of the box and click ok. For anyone that has it, are you able to comment on the following questions? 1) The Crew voices seem almost like its an integrated FS2Crew. Is this what it is or is it more like the voice checklists in the PMDG DC-6 or Aerosoft Airbus? 2) The promo video is very 'light' on details about the depth of systems and ability to customize the sim a la PMDG? Any comment? 3) What is level of simulated failures? I will have to wait for the P3D v4 version before considering a purchase, however, very interested in how this release stacks up to similar complex airliners that are available. thanks,
