I'm not sure how to describe what is happening but here goes. I'm using the boxed version of FSX. I have a lot of ORBX scenery and fly Carenado aircraft. Here is my configuration. Intel i5 4590, EGVA GTX 1070 latest driver, 16GB Ram, Samsung 250 GB 850 EVO SSD, Windows 10x64, FSX,Orbx FTX Global Base, FTX Global Vector, FTX Terrain, Northern & Southern CA, Pacific NW, Rex Texture direct + Soft Clouds. What i'm curious about is several times during my flights FSX seems to reload. It only takes about one second. It's the same screen as when you press the button to fly and it's loading but it can't be for more than 1 second and then it continues where it left off.…

Hi all. It's been a while but I'm back flying. I started FSX-SE as usual, contacted ground and tower and took off but the ATC will not "hand-off" from tower to approach. I have never experienced this before. I rebuilt the cfg file with no effect. Can anyone shed some light on this please? Thanks in advance, Glenn

I am using Ultimate Traffic 2 and World Of AI add-on traffic in my FSX setup. Yet I am still hearing call-outs to Landmark Airlines. How can I disable all default airliners? I'm keeping the default GA planes. Thanks for your assistance...

I couldn't resist to install DD NYC and NYA again but had to change FSX scenery settings as http://www.fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/G2QT and change the FSX.cfg TML from 4096 to 1024 and then voila! ..... no more OOM. But,.....buildings between TWC and Empire State dark and zero details, too much charcoal bricks (lol) as http://www.fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/G2bX Take a look at AES Manhattan X here and details simply magic! there http://www.fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/G2bv I had to remove DD NYC X and at least I can keep DD NY Airports very nice and I can see detailed buildings from Manhattan X.

after doing a reset on my pc all apps removed,. I installed from my disc,s fsx,. but when trying to start it to set up , I get error directx(R) installed on pc not compatible install directx 9.0, do I find directx(R) and delate, and try to find directx 9.0 were I am not sure anyone out there no how to fix this , tried to download directx 9.0 but these seem for earlier versions of windows,any help will be wellcome

Hi, Stephen. I just purchased P3D v4, along with OpusFSI_v5. It would appear that the setup documentation has not been completely updated because the PDK setup instructions are centered around P3D_v3. In other words, it talks extensively about renaming, for example for P3D_3.4, the OpusPDK_v34.DLL to OpusPDK_v3.DLL, but makes no mention of what to do for P3D_4. I also note that there is no OpusPDK_v4.DLL file in the OpusFSI_v5 folder following installation. So, my question is, what do I do to setup the proper interface for P3D_4? What file do I need to copy from the OpusFSI_v5 folder to the Prepar3d v4 Modules folder? Same question for inclusion into the DL…

Hi, I am using an AI addon package with lots of AI traffic at most major commercial and addon airways. However, I noticed at certain large airports (Aerosoft Malpensa, LatinVFR Barcelona and Jenna Soft LFLL) that I cannot see any traffic. These airports have a lot of gates and traffic but no AI. The only pattern I noticed is that for these airports I used to have old scenery addon that I replaced with newer addon (I.e. aerosoft Barcelona replaced with LatinVFR version). Any reason why I don't see AI traffic? How would you go about diagnosing the problem?

More times than not when I attempt to fly a FSX PMDG737 flight the path does not light up. Is there a switch or something not set. Some times it works

Hello, I have PMDG 737 and 747, 737 is boxe, 747 download from PMDG site. 737 woks perfectly. 747 impossible to load, FSX crashes immediately when i try to load 747. 747 has been working ok for several times. I have delete 747 program from my computer and reinstall it without any result? What is the solution???? Thanks Pirlote

i recently bought the PMDG 737. Everything is working except for the HUD/HGS i also tried pressing everything in the Center Pedestal, where the HGS panel is. (also sorry for the bad english, i'm from Argentina.)

Hello all! I was just wondering if there was an easier and more efficient way to keep a steady speed in a plane without Autothrottle? The plane I usually fly in is the Cessna 172SP G1000, one of the default aircraft in FSX. The way I currently hold a steady speed is buy adjusting the throttle to a point where it stays at a certain speed. I would really like to know if there is a more easier way to hold a steady speed, or if there's not. Maybe there's a way to do an autothrottle-like thing? I usually try to keep a steady 100 knots, and I only use flaps when I'm taking off. I usually land at around 80-95 knots, much faster than you should. The plane still stops in…

OMM's i know there are lot of discussions going on with this issue. I have read last 2 weeks a lot of this discussions but do not find any help for the problem i do have. The problem started 2 weeks ago after a flight from RJAA to KMSP with the PMDG 747V3. When i started the flight again to make a next flight, after pushing back from the gate i got an OOM. since this time with the pmdg 747 v3 and pmdg 777 i do not get into the air anymore. my VAS are eated up already loading flight simulator with. Hi all, Anyone know a way to make the taxi on ground better friction wise I feel the aircraft really slides on the ground and doesn't feel realistic, I have dynamic friction in from fsuipc, however, I don't know how to increase the dynamic friction or how to add an entry so the increase dynamic friction only effects the majestic aircraft and none others. Just recently when I download any scenery, and install via the scenery Add-on in FSX, I'm getting dozens of messages come up like this one. "Failed to load texture: CTO2_LM.BMP". That's just one example, there are loads of them, all with different file names. When they pop up the simulator stops until I press the OK button on the message. I will appreciate any help.

did something wrong and my default scenery doesn't show up in the scenery library...only the orbx scenery files show....i did a repair in fsx steam, and nothing changed....and...the orbx files are all at the bottom of the list....even though ti's empty aside from the orbx entries, all the numbers are there.....any hope?

Hi, I'm relatively new to FSX. I have taken the base model and added OrbX scenery (the Global pack, the NA Airports package). Like many, I'm using FSX with a view to eventually getting a PPL - I actually had one 30 yrs ago but it lapsed (a *very* expensive hobby when you're young). I'm trying to get more realistic scenery for practicing cross-country VFR flights. I've tried the Ontario land classes from flightontario.com although nobody seems to be maintaining the site anymore (last news from 2013), and I loaded FO's Rockcliffe (CYRO which looks pretty damn good BTW - the orbX scenery has a significantly shorter actual runway once displaced thresholds are factore…

The video replay in Steam is not that great. It doesn't show the reverse thrusters and air brakes in real time. A video program for both Steam and PREPARED V4 would be nice. I read FS Recorder is not compatible so does anyone have a recommendation?
