Hi: I'm using the Piper J3 cub in FSX to fly through the mountains here in Montana, and I would like to add GPS to it to that I can navigate to remote mountain airstrips. Is there a way to do that? Is there another cub plane with GPS navigation that I can add to FSX? Thanks!

does anyone have access to a performance manual for the c-47? i know this aircraft lends itself well to 'eyeballing' the fuel but i was curious about trying some max range atlantic crossing type flights and it is significantly easier to do the wind calculations in pfpx. so i made a quick and dirty pfpx profile for it using some test values i gathered. it seems to work ok, i am getting results that match within a few percent, but i know these numbers aren't perfect, in fact the fuel flow numbers seem to kind of be a random error sampling of the inaccuracy of my throttle lol. in the end it shouldn't matter much as for a given profile the total variation i was seeing…

Why are there trees blocking the ending sections of runway at BZE (default scenery) and how do you get rid of them?

I 've had to reinstall my 747200s--- now I do not have any gnd accessories ie-- stairs, push tugs etc -- they show up as all black no details; Help Thanks.

I dont know if im doing something wrong but i cant get the TCAS out of standby mode i have followed the instructions but when i press the button for TCAS on the ARCDU nothing happens Cheers Jason

This may seem like a fairly basic question, but I can't find the answer anywhere. How do you use the cockpit clock/chronometer? All I can do is get it to show the date in various ways, and the chronometer will only show minutes, I can't even understand what the hold/stop button does. Can someone write a guide explaining how?

Hello Jim glad to see you again. Here my issue about. First launching FSX then loading PMDG 747 or 777 (either) while I am programing FMC it starts dings sound and OOM. I start FSX again and loading 747 or 777 then I use crtl+shift+T to disable UTLive. Voila! ...... no OOM at all, I can complete my flight plan. I think I would have to put UT2 back to FSX and leaving UTLive only for P3D v4.

Not sure if I delete both shader folders or just the folders in them Thanks, Delete/Rebuild your Facilities/Scenery Indexes and Shader Folders – Periodically delete your Facilities/Scenery Indexes located in Program Data/Microsoft/FSX. Delete the Facilities and Scenery folders. Delete the Shader folders located in AppData/ (your user name)/Local/Microsoft/FSX/Shader10 and Shader folders. When you restart FSX, these folders will be rebuilt. It has been known to fix some CTD’s. (Thanks to Kuragiman).

Hello, This is my first post so if it's not in the correct location, please let me know. I recently purchased the Flight1 Super King Air B200. I've installed the aircraft and for the most part it is working fine. One problem I have is that when I follow the instructions and open a flight with the ultralight and then switch to the King Air, I get an error message that Simconnect is blocked. I have done everything from exclude the folder from my anti-virus (Windows Defender) and my maleware software (Malwarebytes) and allowed FSX.exe through the firewall (Windows Defender) with out any change. Anyone try the Bombardier C Series 100 & 300 freeware downloads? I have both and have been having a great time flying them. I would call them a cross between the Boeings and Airbus'! Loaded PMDG 747 in FSX, KJFK airport rwy 04L to arrive on KDCA rwy 19 using AIRAC 1709. FMC programmed route KJFK - LEEAH - CHOPS - BILIT - KATRN - KDCA. I selected LDAY19 from some of the available FMC Arrival list. Entered heading 185 as per FMC NAV info. The weird thing is while the 747 was in approach the TRK(006) MAG from ND is not even closer to the heading 185. The 747 obviously didn't intercept the rwy 19. Instead was trying to land on the opposite runway side which is rwy 01. This problem is related with AIRAC or the Washington X Drzewiecki Design scenery? Or, again I am doing something weird.

"I have tried reinstalling the three versions of SimConnect associated with FSX Deluxe" I have FSX Gold Edition, which has the Acceleration Pack, and am having a problem with an aircraft blocking Simconnect. To rule out any problems with it I wanted to re-install it but I'm not sure how to do that. Can you tell me how you did this? Thanks

Hi All, I have recently downloaded onto FSX David Maltby's excellent BAC 1-11, the only problem is it only partially works. I get the A/C at the airport of my choice but there are no sounds, ok not quite true I get the U/C warning beep, but precious little else. I have reinstalled it twice now, following the guide on DM's website but to no avail. The Daft thing is I also downloaded it to my copy of FS9 and it all seems to be ok there. I'm running this on win7. Any ideas people? mog

Hello, I am flying with B737-800 PMDG NGX in my FSX-SE mostly. I have bought add-on UT live recetnly but still have problem with ATC. I am programming a flight plan in my FMC using SID , STAR but there is discrepancy with ATC. Of course there is often to change the path due to traffic or weather but in approach procedures ATC is sending me to different direction not following STAR. In this case either I follow the ATC instructions or ignore them. Can somebody recommend me the best way how to handle with ATC? Thx Dezi

After years of tinkering with settings and add-ons I am now, more often than not, achieving stable fluid performance over most flight scenarios. The secret? Ditch the bad stuff and accept your systems limitations. We have a great hobby and should embrace the experience of a realistic, smooth flight. Many add on's are not optimised well and my system just isn't up to high demand payware. So I have taken the measure of a carrying couple of tweaks and only using high performing (not necessarily old) add on software. I recently picked up Flightbeams KIAD for FSX and Im seeing some issues with autogen around the perimeter of the airport. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. basically outside of the scenery perimeter which is a roadway, the autogen is blanked or suppressed. Dont have this issue without the scenery installed. Flighbeam says its a known issue but I was just wondering if anyone else is seeing that with the scenery. Im using FTX Global and open LC NA. Particularly I see a hole in the NE quadrant which is about a mile wide and long and one up near the NW corner which is a bit smaller.

Good evening, i recently download LFSL from Occitania. Though the read me was in French, I think I did everything I was supposed to. When activated through FSX, LFSL was at #1 In the scenery library. As far as I know, I haven’t installed any other LFSL scenery. When doing a test flight, I found I was sitting back at the default airport. I’ve used ADE to check that the new airport BGL worked. All looked good. I even recompiled the airport and placed it in the Add On Scenery / Scenery folder. Unfortunately, I can still only see the default airport. Is there anything else I can try to make this work? I’ve debated deleting the BGL that holds the default airp…

I never realised... until now.. That the title line in the cfg file can have a bearing on what gauges might be displayed. To elaborate: My recent Orca repaint had me re-visiting the Project Airbus A380 Qantas I'd had in my virtual hangar for some time. The primary eicas display in the centre of the panel (virtual cockpit) didn't work - just blank white, almost like an untextured part. I downloaded an Emirates version which did have a working centre display. Cool! However, when it came to using the Orca repaint - no display! I've heard a lot of talk about iFDG's MD-11, so I decided to search it up in the Avsim file library. I saw a ton of amazing liveries, but they were for Fs2004. I downloaded some and installed it in the Simobjects/Airplanes folder, but it didn't show up in the FSX plane menu. What do I do?
