Hi Guys, I seem to have a unique problem with Fsdreamteam airports. Disappearing buildings is not unusual but this problem seems to be. Umberto worked with me for several days and we could not solve it, so I thought I'd throw it out for consideration. I have 15 FSDT airports which I have used for years with only minor problems. Then last week I started experiencing the disappearing buildings phenomenon. To make a (very) long story short here is the situation. Let's say I do a clean install of an FSDT airport. I fireup FSX and go to that airport and everything is normal, buildings, etc. If I logoff of FSX and wait a minute or an hour it doesn't matter, and then login …

Hello, Just started flying the DC-10 HD by CLS, and I noticed that in some weather, the airspeed will go down to 0. I have fixed this issue before on the 737, by turning on the heating, but doing the same here does not seem to help. I have attached screenshots of my panel settings below, as well as of the airspeed indicator. Is there another setting on the panel that I also need to change? Thanks

I just purchased REX Sky Force 3D this past weekend and have encountered an issue I don't know how to resolve. First, let me say that I use FSX w/ SP2 on an average PC with an i5 processor 3.3GHz, 16GB system RAM, AMD Radeon R7 360 video card with 2GB RAM. Installation was not intuitive since their README is incorporated into their installer, so you can't read it before you attempt installation. After going to their website forum for help, I learned that anyone who purchases this software MUST disable your anti-virus software BEFORE beginning installation, and must add the program folder to the Exceptions list in your AV settings. HI, Hope someone can help. I have downloaded 737NG 800 liveries from the iFly site to load into FSX, unzipped the file and placed each Texture file into my FSX>Sim Object>Airplane>iFly 737-800 folder. Then on to the IFly Configuration Tool, select the 737 800 aircraft and My Fleet then click "New" to add a new livery. When I click on the Texture box I expected to be able to scroll to the new livery to install it (as shown on You Tube) but all can see is two options "Texture CLWT" and "Texture iFly" The new livery (FedEX for example) isn't there to select. Can anyone point out what I'd doing wrong please. Thank you. David

This very early morning I stepped aboard my PMDG 737-800 for what was to be my final flight using FSX (enroute to KMCO). LatinVFR KMIA looked lovely just minutes before the first rays of light creeped over the Florida landscape. Departure was smooth from RW30, and a nice climbout. Hello. I have been away from FSX:SE for a while. Yesterday when I fired up the C172 I found the ailerons frozen in the left bank position. Neither the keyboard commands or my joystick assignment changed them to the neutral position. Next, I opened the Baron. Same problem. Any suggestions?

I recently decided to activate direct x10 preview on FSX because I wanted to see self shadows and other things in some of my aircraft. I did a test flight with the World of AI aircraft installed and saw this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1310029784 The plane is grey/white. I'm also noticing this on some of my Freeware addon aircraft as well. At this point I believe that these birds are older and not ready for Dx10. And I'm also questioning if Dx10 is worth it for FSX-SE.

Hey there So my father uninstalled Acceleration somehow during my exams and today when my exams finished I decided to do fly in VATSIM and when I open up FSX, I got a Fatal Error Message on start up. Happens to me a lot. I could fix it by uninstalling Acceleration and Re-Installing it. But now I cannot install acceleration again as when I open setup.exe it just does nothing.... The loading icon appears on the cursor but goes away. Nothing. No error messages. When I checked the task manager, I saw that setup.exe appeared and immidiately disappeared in the task processes section. When I try to uninstall it from control panel to clear any left over registries so that I…

Approach light strobes does not work anymore. I did in the past or if I recall it from box FSX. Anyone knows anything about this? I have asked in the STEAM forum but no reply at all. Does anyone have the "running rabbit" working in FSX:SE? I've checked with ADE and there are approach lights set that should have running strobes, just tested MALSR but no strobes. TIA /Per W Sweden

But every time I try to change it I always get an error saying " Failed to read from file". I've run into VAS consumption issues lately and was curious as to what could be the cause, so I ran some tests and scribbled down some numbers. This post is not a comprehensive test to determine the impact of addon x or y on your VAS consumption, but rather a helper as to what type of content and settings to look at when you run into issues. Hi Occasionally I am plagued with a flight freezing, with or without using the FMC. Typically when I try to select a different view with the joystick, everything freezes. The only way out is to leave FSX and start again. What could be causing this problem? Ray

Hi all, I have been having problems with my PC running FSX recently. I had been running the CPU overclocked and although it was not overheating or overly overclocked (if there is such a phrase!), after having my IT friend test and look at the PC set up, he advised that as a first generation Intel i7 and a motherboard which cannot cope with what I require, he advised it may be best to replace. He advised me of 3 Novatech motherboard bundles and told me to ask you guys out there, the FSX users, which would be best. Yes I've been away from FSX for a long while so in the interim bought a new machine, bought FSX-SE, installed Tileproxy and at the weekend bought the above. Despite all my best efforts I see nothing, I've now installed it twice, it lets me select UK East and West to add then takes ages to load 39 of something. Where have they gone. Hello! So I have now the Carenado Cessna citation S550. Since everyone including me are getting low FPS with this aircraft, I have disabled the cmeteo.dll file which gains me 3-5 FPS. But on the other hand I think the texture 4048x4048 is kinda high, I guess even PMDG has lower. So I want to lower the texture resolutions to 2024x2024 instead. The quastion is, but how? I believe it will gain me a bit more frames.

Just installed another throttle quad and reassigned everything. Working well except now AP and APR keep activating for no known reason.Rebooted etc but when start up AP and APR switches are on.Shut them down and come back on.Kind of like conversation at home,Any advice here? Hi, I'm doing a fresh install of FSX after many years of not using it and need to refresh my memory about stuff I need to do to make it not crash. I installed SP1 and SP2 and also put UIAutomationCore.dll into the installation location to prevent menu bar crashes but other things I should be doing elude me. For example, I remember it crashing when you right click after about 10 minutes of being in the sim. Also, I remember doing longer flights and then arriving at the destination only to find that not all the scenery has loaded. I might be forgetting other things that are needed for a stable install. Please refresh my memory. Thanks!

I am in need of the FSX 737 Radio panel (gauge). I'm getting a black panel when I hit Shift +_2. I have my FSX disks, and I just need to know what CAB (?) file it is so that I can reload it. Everything else seems good, except the Radio panel. Please let me know the easiest way to re-install this important gauge. Stan

I recently came across the DynamicFriction for FSUIPC, but realised that asoon as I apply manual braking (even a split second tap) braking returns to default and the plane comes to a halt within seconds. I also noticed that applying and releasing the parking brake fixes this, but this is a bit of a pain in itself because if I take a turn at low speeds, I'll come to a halt anyway by applying and releasing the parking brake. Quite a dilemma! I was wondering if there was a fix, alternative or just something that provides a similar feel just without this rather frustrating bug. Thanks! I'm by no means inexperienced in terms of installing and managing AI traffic, but when has the entire endeavor become such a tedious nightmare? All it used to take is finding the base models, download the paints, install the paints, download flightplans, adapt the aircraft.txt to point to the paints and compile the affair with TrafficTools/AIFP. Maybe run an Imagetool batch conversion afterward to cut the textures down even further to DXT1 format. I managed to expand upon my WOAI installation that way and created an entire 1980s AI environment with 400+ airlines. Trying to find scenery for ADDF Frankfurt-Main airport. All I have tried are missing some terminals and other buildings..I only have jetways. I have no trouble with any other airports - all scenery sliders maxed. Looking with ADE I see the buildings of one good new one are titled "EDDF ..." which do not seem to have come with the download. Can anyone suggest a solution to this, or tell me where I might find the "EDDF..." files? The scenery I am using now is by Yves Laske entitled fsx_eddf. Dave Hinson

10 years later... bump! This is exactly what I'm trying to do, but I'm using P3D (no different essentially). All my wing views give brash external sound and I'd like internal. I've tried duplicating the internal sound files and placing an 'X_' before them (and removing the old external sounds), but on some aircraft it either sounds really empty or there's still a residual external sound in there somewhere. I can see in the sound.cfg that possibly the 'viewpoint=' line determines whether it is internal or external (1 for the former, 2 for the latter). However that serves no use to me either as I want to play internals on both 1+2, and externals on nothing! Has anyb…

I’m using FSX not the steam version and have always had an issue either midnflight or on the ground where parts of the aircraft disappear. This is only with PMDG and Aerosoft Airbus add ons. Sometimes the fuselage is missing and you can only see engines, wings and gear when in external view. Other times you can see the fuselage but the cabin interior is exposed. Any ideas. What’s causing this?
