All of the commercial AI packages that feature GA aircraft use some or only the FSX default aircraft. Not much excitement in seeing the same few liveries over and over again. In the past years, Todd Bolgrin has uploaded 22 AI FSX models to the library. These can easily be added to UT2 and with a bit of effort to MyTraffic for more variety. A third option is AIFP. Ernie

I'm trying to complete a flight in FSX:SE with current (1803) fsAerodata. ILSs aren't broadcasting it appears. Tried several different airports/runways and nothing. I tune the frequency...no ID is heard and NAV and GS flags are present. VORs tune and ID just fine. Curiously, I'm also thinking this problem is manifesting in P3D V4. Trying to finish a flight there and I just realized that the ILS is misbehaving there as well. It's VHHH runway 07L as it happens. So I'll post this in the P3D forum as well. I looked for posts regarding this without success. And there isn't a forum dedicated to fsAerodata as far as I can determine. Any assistance is appreciated.

hi guys, i have a quik question. for jobschedular affinitymask=n what do i have to fill in for N? i have an intil i7 7700k overclocked to 4.8 ghz. is there a specific number i have to add in at N accept for 14? greatings Ronnay

I would like to reduce the volume of the constant "swooshing sound" in the cockpit of most jetliners (default and third party). I'm not sure what this sound is suppose to represent but it interferes with the ability to hear ATIS, ATC and FS2Crew. I've never been in the cockpit of a running jetliner but my common sense tells me that pilots do not have problems hearing ATIS, ATC or their FO because of a loud swooshing sound,,,perhaps because they wear headsets. In any case, is there anyway to reduce this sound? None of the sound sliders have any affect on it's volume (I turn all of them to zero and still get the exact same volume). Thanks

I have recently upgraded to a new PC with a lot of the bells and whistles as far as graphic card etc. Should I be using the same fsx configuration settings I was using before on the older PC? Thanks!

Hi Folks, I joined the forum as I am totally lost as to how I can resolve scenery problems in FSX. I have been using FSX for over 10 years without too many issues. But recently I upgraded my PC and it came with Win 10, since then I have had a catalogue of problems (which I have managed to resolve) except for this new issue . I have some images but can't post them as I'm new (I think). The issue is that I get lines, 'walls' and various other shapes appearing soon after take off and occasionally on the ground. This happens the most when I am using a separate 'spot' window on my 2nd monitor, but I've also tested it on just one monitor and it still happens. Fr…

I had to re-install this plane after doing a clean install of my OS and FSX. It used to work fine last time I installed it. This time the flaps, gear and trim won't work. I get a little "bounce" out of the levers and wheels, but they remain stuck. I've tried using FSUIPC, Spad.Next (for the flaps) and the FSX control assignments but nothing works (not even the mouse). I can't figure out what I did wrong this time, so I'm wondering if anyone has a tip for me. Thanks.

Hello there everyone. I'm a new member and as the title says,there is a weird texture on my WIII Runway. I downloaded Ray Smith's AFCAD for WIII(Jakarta Soekarno Hatta).One day while playing,I suddenly found a weird texture on one of the runways. Does anyone know how to fix this?Thanks. I am running FSX-SE and on start up I am advised of errors in 4 areas On launching FSX Scenery Editor this shows all 138 areas as 'path does not exist' 'Title is is non-unique' I note that the source is listed as FSX - not FSX-SE. How do I resolve this issue using the Editor? I have a screenshot but need advice on attaching it to this thread.

As those of us who live in the United States know, Daylight Savings Time just started up again this past weekend. Usually, I would notice this update take place in my flight simulator. However, that is no longer the fact, and now I have to base my flights off of GMT rather than local time. I know it's not a *huge* issue, but it's just one of those things that I'd like to fix because it's rather annoying.

Alright, so I'm having a problem with the WATER in REX 4 Texture Direct on the Steam Edition of FSX. The textures and wave animations load into the simulator as they should, but the way the water textures are being displayed at high altitudes is strange. Take a look: As you can see, there are dark areas off to into the horizon. I've tried this in different locations, and they all result in this same phenomenon. If I descend to low altitudes, then the textures display properly. Does anyone have any tips for this issue?

Hello, I have a question that I hope you can help me with? I would like to hear if you can use PFPX = Professional Flight Planner X for steam.

I am tempted to buy the Orbx version of KSAN San Diego but I'm concerned about performance. With Orbx that is not normally an issue but given the dense urban area, I'm reluctant to spend the money, even at half price, and find I can't use it. I have a KSAN from another publisher and FPS and VAS is poor. Can anyone tell me how they have found the Orbx KSAN performing? I know hardware is a factor, which in my case is good but no longer top of the line, but any feedback would be appreciated. Hello All I recently had to reinstall Windows 10, and FSX Steam etc. I mainly fly the Aerosoft A321, but my Airac Cycle has reverted to the original. I lost my Navigraph FMS Data Manager. But have now downloaded the later version. Unfortunately I have forgotten how to recover my Airac Cycle (1708), the latest is 1803 How do I recover my current Airac Cycle? The free charts I use are never completely up to date, so I would like to recover Airac Cycle “1708” if possible. The message “You do not have any addons Mapped” keeps coming up on the Navigraph screen. Thank you & hope somebody can help.

Good evening, Not sure if anyone has posted this before - or had the same experience. I downloaded Seychelles V2 from simMarket this morning. In the PDF it mentions there are saved flights as well as a mission. I cannot seem to find either. I've left a message on their forum, but I thought I'd try here as well. Thanks for your help, Colin

Has anyone got any experience of this addon which is marketed by Flight1? It is a training aid, devised by an airline pilot, which apparently mirrors real world airline simulator practice and sets up aircraft at one of many optional positions on approach. It's use however is limited to a few high quality aircraft but as I have 9 of these in my hangar I am tempted to try this as I particularly enjoy practising approaches into various airports in bad weather scenarios using AS16 with which it appears compatible. It is however a little expensive so I thought I would try to get some opinions before buying it, Bill

I installed flight simulator steam edition but when I installed FSUIPC4.ZIP the simulation game is not opening properly its keep saying the error messages how to solve it ????????????????????

Although I’m pretty sure this topic has been created before, I don’t think it’s been for a few years. I currently own the JustFlight 757. However, I’m considering getting something more immersive and realistic. I’m just wondering which is the better way to go? QW or CS? Both seem like great products.

I bought PMDG 737NGX about a month ago and when I change my aircraft when I am already loaded via the menu bar, the new choosen aircraft starts boucing on the ground. Do anyone has a solution for this or also has this bug. I already tried to change the pitch_height but without succes. Greetings from Holland, Ruben

Good day, I haven't flown sims in a couple of years and I have since upgraded to a new system. I can't remember exactly which parameters I needed to tweak to make FSX fly somewhat decent. I'm using the old FSX SP2 (non steam version) on an 8600k. Does anybody know of a guide that will sort me out?

I've had the Kodiak for a couple of years now and just never noticed this before because I would only use it for very short flights. I started using it to fly in Hawaii and noticed when I load up the fuel for 100% using the fuel and payload section of FSX (acceleration) I only get 737lbs of fuel which is a little more than 1/4 full. I can't get a full tank. I have it installed on the same computer as before. Also, I can only get about a 200 mile range flying about 178mph. Is this normal? Thanks, Alan

Hi guys. After a long brake from fsx im back. And i forgot a few important things. 1 of them is that when im flying and my center tank is emty only either the left or the right tank is draining fuel. Via the crossfeed. I can manage to drain the left or the right. To get about the same amount. But i can't remember this happening before. Does somebody know how get both tanks to drain together at the same time? For info. Im a hobby flyer. Im just having fun. Im not a real pilot and do not nearly know everything. So i'm sorry if this is a dumb question. thanks in advance.
