Hello there everyone,At my aviation class weve got this great debate goin on between the diamond and cessna, and i was wondering upon your opinions on this topic, what are the advantages you consider of each aircraft over the other, and which one give you a higher qualification when entering other aircraft types in the future.Thankyou hope this may be a solution for the short term to this debate down here.

Is anyone familiar with the Riverside Flight Center in Tulsa, OK?I have a contact in India who is planning to take commercial flight training in the U.S. They are considering Riverside as their flight school. I've taken a look at their online descriptions, and it appears they offer accelerated commercial training - even specializing in training international pilots, with a specific emphasis on Indian flight students. This is the first time of heard of Riverside - I would appreciate any knowledgeable comments about the quality, history, and reputation of the school.

Va, manuevering speed, represents the maximum airspeed at which abrupt manuevers or full rudder deflection is permissible without risk of structural failure. Ok. But I read recently in the Jepperson Private Pilot manual that Va increases with aircraft weight. It states that in a heavily loaded aircraft, Va might be (say) 100 kts but in a lightly loaded aircraft it could be 90kts. This surpised me. I guess intuitively I thought g forces would be higher with a more heavily loaded plane and Va would be lower. What am I missing?

I have just read some from "Unfriendly Skies" by Rodney Stich and found it as horrendous reading, is all of this true? First of all i've got the impression that Stich is pretty harsh against United Airlines and FAA, also i discovered some factuals errors describing a DC9 as an 737 and a DC8 as a DC9 in some disasters. Its also worth mentioning the description of crash scenes as a horrorshow with some speculative elements. Also he insinuates that the infamous 727 PSA crash in San Diego was partly due to the crews partying the night before the flight and describing a drinking culture in several airline companies. Here is the very unpleasant reading:http://www.druggingameric…

Hi there, I have been trying to organize a Flight Simulation group, rather like the Royal British Legion, except we fly Flight Simulator flights on important Remembrance Day's, not just the 11th of November.I am hoping to get started on building a website for it and making it a bigger thing.Under no circumstances is this a VA, its just to show our appreciation to the people who fought for us, in a way we enjoy. You will only be called upon a maximum of about 7 times a year if that. Aircraft will be ranging from the Spitfire up to the Modern aircraft of today.http://forum.justflight.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19983This post explains more about it, If your interested, put…

Airbus has pushed out the first delivery of the A380 until around 2008 and FedEx canceled all of their A380 orders! Fedex is going with 18 777's in stead. Virgin Atlantic has told Airbus to go stuff themselves also and won't be touching the A380 until at least 2013. Emirates is sending a team over to France to access Airbus also and may also cancel. Bring on the Fedex 777F repaints! LOL!

MS is apparently really gooing to limit the installation flexibility of Vista. The OS can only be transferred to another machine once. Bad news for those of us who like to tinker a bit. Who's going to pay $300 for an OS that can only be transferred once? Sheez...See: http://www.techweb.com/wire/software/193300234Doug

It will be interesting to know the reason behind this. I know one thing, they can't blame it on the bad frame rate like we can in the flightsim world. ;-) http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/10/31/missed.runway.ap/index.html
