what is real world policy regarding pilots flying in one a/c type? what im trying to ask is;is it realistic in the real world to have a pilot who flies a 737ng to then do some flights in say a ER4 or BE1 or ?? etc, 767, 747 etc? or would they just stick with one type for a long while before going to another?please give examples, thanks if applicablethanksciao!Brian S

UK gets battered by Gale Force Winds today (gusts in excess of 50 KTS) and a Qantas 744 lands after a go-around on Heathrow 27L, at around 3 pm this afternoon. It wasn't made easier by several British Airways 744's and a Virgin A340, that landed successfully a few minutes. The locals seemed unfazed, but they weren't the only crew to go-around.They made all Aussies proud!(7 people have died in the UK today because of the weather).

I was born in San Diego. Chargers lost against New England. I lived on Cape Cod for six years in the 80's. I am also a Pat's fan. But, I gotta tell you, New Orleans deserves the "bump" that will occur if the Saint's win tomorrow. I was just in NOLA a month or so ago. The city, the people, and all who relate to them and their sufferings, deserve a win. So, GO SAINTS!!!

SkyWest Airlines at Denver Int'l Airport is hiring as many ramp agents as we can. We are incredibly short staffed... running about 250 rampers when we require at least 350 to be fully staffed, so we are hiring pretty much anyone that is able to work. This is a personal request on behalf of SkyWest, if anyone is in the Denver area and is looking for work or would like to work at the airport, please give SkyWest a call... we really need your help!I believe we have the highest starting wages for ramp agents for any airline at DIA. http://www.skywest.com/careers/index.php

Hello, I will be starting my flight training in about 2 years to become an airline pilot, I was considering dca and atp, right now I am leaning toward atp because they are closer to home, they offer alot of multi engine training throughout various parts of the u.s., they offer jet time, and claim to have more pilots hired at a regional airline then any other school. Am I leaning the right way here? I am also going to visit the folks at dca this coming February, any question that you can think of that I should ask them? Im the 1st one in my family to ever pursue this kind of career so Know alot more about how to actually fly the jets from teaching my self over the past …

I'm just curious if anyone knows about a magazine that is mainly centered around airline pilots, there are so many for GA such as flying or plane and pilot, which are all great, but I'm looking for something more related to flying the heavies, any ideas?

I have zero linkage to any of the new real "stuff" coming down the pike, but there would sure seem to be some opportunities for the FS dev folks to take advantage. Since we've gotten the new G1000 unit in FSX, check out the AVIO shown at the Eclipse site:http://www.eclipseaviation.com/Explore some of the video files. Just some amazing stuff. And Eclipse is only one of the newer sources; there are others.Automation has come to the GA world.Gmark@KCVG

Just somethings I have always wondered:1. How long does it take to fill all the fuel in an empty 747? How much do the wings flex with all the fuel weight?2. Does the yoke and throttle move as the autopilot corrects in real life like it does in the simulator? If so, how do pilots avoid disconnecting the autopilot when touching against the flight controls?3. Is it possible to land a 747 with only one operational engine?4. On some planes, there is a wire going from about the enter of the fuselage to the tip of the tail, what is this wire for? Thanks for any hints! :)
