Any truth to this, or is it just the press blowing something way out of proportion? I still see a lot of MD 80's in the air and I've always liked flying in the, especially in the forward cabin where it's very quiet. I'm sad to see the fleet aging.Johnhttp://www.cnn.com/2008/US/04/08/griffin.l...gear/index.html

I have built up my FS fund a little and was looking to purchase some add on scenery...FS2004, a scenery package that has been out for at least three years, and the US Dollar conversion has it at over $70 now. Whew...that is too much...I will have to pass...I was coming back from overseas in 2000 and remember the Euro being less than the dollar...how things change...Scott

One advantage of the demise of Aloha and just recently ATA Airlines' in the US is that my frame rates have improved drastically at the airports they used to fly out of after I deleted them from UT. Thank you Aloha and ATA for improving my FS experience without having to really do any major tweaking.

There is children's animated TV show, "Jay Jay the Jet Plane". One of the airplanes is a prop-in-the-nose plane named Snuffy. Each time I see a 3/4 front view in actual photo or a sim screen shot of the Pilatus PC-12, with a bit of imagination, it looks to me like Snuffy.Anybody else see the resemblance? :-roll--Roger

Current buzz it's because of bad parts. Pilot ejected safely, his wingman must have taken the pics.I can only imagine what the cockpit chatter sounded like during this event!bthttp://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2008-01/...ent_7418077.htm

Guys (and any Gals who might stumble into this den of insanity), I was rummaging through my files the other day, and found this detailed engineering drawing of a unique device. After scanning it and cleaning up the age spots, coffee stains, and assorted squashed bug splatters, I am posting it here as a CHALLENGE to anyone with Max, GMax, FSDS, or any other 3d software to produce the world's first 3d model! Be careful to observe the extremely detailed and precise specifications... http://www.aerodynamika.com/cgi-bin/yabb/Y...?num=1206308928

IVAO-GR division is promoting piracy... and nobody caresHi all,I am sorry to report that at the sites http://gr.ivao.aero and http://ivao.hvaip.net/, there is pirated copyrighted material that can be downloaded at several points :-(I have had several tries to persuade the so-called "staff" of the IVAO-GR community (gr.ivao.aero) to remove the links. Unfortunately, at first I have been ironically treated from the staff members and after my second notice, they threatened with deletion of my IVAO account if I would continue complaining. (something that actually happened and I had to re-register...) A few months ago, the same guys did a huge upload on Jeppesen copyrighted mat…

I am doing preliminary planning for a flying trip this summer to the New England states. One reason is they are the few remaining states of the US I have not logged a landing in-the other being I haven't really been to/explored them. My plan is to go to Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts,Vermont, New Hamshire, Maine, Nova Scotia, perhaps Prince Edward Island, and back to Michigan via Canada.I will be flying with my wife and another couple and are interested in interesting places/sites/history etc. with a balance of scenery/ cities. The trip will probably be 2.5-3 weeks. So far ideas are Newport,RI, Martha's Vineyard,Nantucket Island, Cape Cod, Boston, Concord, Montpe…
