Hey everyone,I would like to just get the word out to you that there is a new team in town, no, its not another crappy virtual airline, or the like, this team has extreme skills in flying formation, they are, the FSX Blue Angels. We strive to emulate the actions of the real Blue Angels, through our videos, and live show events, we are a very dedicated team, practising for about 3 hours a day, five days a week. Here are our two sites:www.fsxblueangels.webs.comwww.fsxblueangels.comThe second is still in major developmental stages, but i feel you should still see it, and have a post on our forums. We have some videos out also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksbmX3sIkFs&f…

Quick question for the VFR gurus around here. What is the correct way to enter a traffic pattern from the far side of the airport, e.g. runway 36 has a left pattern, and I'm arriving from the east.Do I fly over the airport at pattern altitude to join the downwind? Would I typically get a specific instruction on how the controller would like me to enter the pattern (at a towered airport). Thanks!Jeff HepburnKDEN

Not too far back, I'm doing a bit of research and I'm hoping someone here could answer this.In about 1989 or so, what make/model of plane might have fit the following description.-Jet-8 or so passengers-Common in the Soviet Union-And older (1960's to 1970's vintage)Basically, what were *they* using at the time that would be the Russian ancestor of whatever they have today that's the equiv of the Lear 45?I *was* thinking Yak-40, but that was just a guess.

An Air Canada flight made an emergency landing in the Irish Republic after a pilot apparently suffered a breakdown. A passenger said the pilot was carried from the plane shouting and swearing, saying he wanted to talk "to God". The flight from Toronto to Heathrow landed at Shannon airport after its crew declared a medical emergency. Passengers flew on to London later. Air Canada has confirmed that a crew member was unwell, but did not confirm he was suffering mental problems. He basically said he wanted to talk to God said"At no time were the safety of the passengers or crew in question," said an Air Canada spokesman. "The flight was met by medical personnel and the indiv…

Is a High bypass turbofan better than a low bypas turbofan? What is the advantage of one over the other? The JT8D is a low bypass engine and is one of the most used in the world, but pretty much all large jets and 737's use high bypass engines, whats the advantage?

Last year, a friend who flies both fixed wing and trikes suggested I give flying a trike a try. I also heard similar suggestions from forum members, although few share their experiences so I am unsure how many Trike Pilots we have. Finally, I took an hour lesson (on the hobbs) this weekend.I am hooked. It was incredible, the sense of flight and sense of control. Also, I was surprised at how comparable the "basics" were to flying fixed wing, other than the absence of rudder. What I found most enjoyable though was the sheer sense of visibility.Long did I feel the "fun" of flying had to do with speed, but after flying a trike, just the sense of being airborne--I could hav…

  22. Hi,I have vista home premium and am wondering how to make a partition bigger using computer management, I know I have to shrink another partition, Then I have unallocated memory but it wont let me extend the other partition, that option is blacked out, does anyone know what to do? I am currently copying everything from my fs partition to an external hard drive, then I will delete the partition, shrink the other partition and just create a new one with a bigger size then copy everything back.

  23. Hello everyone,I am (almost desperately ;) ) looking for a website I once had in bookmarks. It contained specs and procedures for a lot a airliner, 737, 767, Airbuses, etc. I believe it began publishing that information for the 767 and then added the other airlines lately. Orange is the prevailing color on that website. And that's pretty much everything that's left in my head :)It is really a disturbing feeling that I do not manage to find that website again, since it was very useful. Google is not really helpful, so I thought, maybe someone here knows what I am talking about.Cheers,Robert
