Now that everybody is learning the skills of flying the best addon for fsx ever made (untill now) , I would like to know what you people consider to be the best airliner to fly for, considering service for passengers and working conditions for their crew. From all the repaints, for example, I never chose the easyjet or westjet because, if looking at reality series on tv. they seem to tread their passengers like cattle, and the flight crew has to work on extreme working conditions, and more and more airliners seem to lose the ballance between cost aspects and "humanity" So, what airliner would you be proud to fly for, are there any airliners who keep their service f…

I love aviation, commercial aircraft, and every last thing to do with flying. I love learning something new about my passion almost every day. I loved the hours I spent learning VOR navigation, IFR planning, Controlling at ZAU on Vatsim back in the day, the feeling I would get when I accomplished a simulated aviation task I was working on for awhile (such as a tricky approach), basically everything. Which leads me to my point, I'm absolutely terrified to fly in the real word. I guess this would have to do with the saying that "there are no small accidents in aviation" I'm planning on conquering this of course, but I was wondering if anyone else has such a passion for …

Months ago I posted about the release of a fan made Space Sim set in the Wing Commander universe. That Free Sim (Based on a modified Freespace 2 Sourcecode project engine) was completed after ten years of effort by the fans and was absolutely incredible. Now another free fan made release is on offer after more than four years of labor: A game set in the Battlestar Glactica universe, and done to such high standards that the modelers were hired to also construct Ships for the upcoming Battlestar Galactica MMO. ^_^ Its called Diaspora: Shattered Armistice. http://www.hard-ligh...p?topic=81859.0 Give it (and its tasty Newtonian physics) a try!! Doing some research and trying to track down some supporting information for something I have been thinking about, I have been trying to find a definitive overview of flight simulation history on the PC. Unfortunately, almost everything I can find seems to be almost exclusively Microsoft oriented, to the point that it almost appears that there were no other Sims of note beyond Microsoft flight simulator releases. Any sim other than Microsoft FS seems only able to garner a sentence or two, if that, and gaps in supposedly complete history's skip year after year of releases from anyone other than Microsoft. Are there any complete in-depth history's, or is this inform…

Just want to inform you that Goran Savić - Savke, creator of Soko Galeb G-2 for FS2002, 2004 and compatible with FSX, winner of avsim silver award, and developer of G-4 Super Galeb for FS9 and FSX (delayed for many years), crashed and died today while performing test flight of Lasta 95 training aircraft. He put his last effort to prevent aircraft hit the houses nearby, but he was late to jump out of aircraft. He was flight instructor and test pilot at Serbian Air Force, and former member of aerobatic display team "Stars". You can visit his Youtube channel and see beautiful areal images: http://www.youtube.com/user/yz1sg And you can see G-4 Supergaleb for FS9 and…

Hi, I'm new to TeamSpeack and the DigitalThemePark. I have them both installed. My brother and I normally fly using the multiplayer in FS9 and would like to use TeamSpeak to communicate through our headset mics instead of using radios. We're in the same house but he's upstairs and I'm downstairs. Is it possible for my brother and I to use TeamSpeak or the DigitalThemePark alone without being online with other players? How do we go about setting that up or doing that? Ken.

Love him or hate him, you have to admit that Kim Dotcom has certainly shaken up the world. If he's not pissing off movie and music moguls with his drop-box services, he's exposing the skulduggery and incompetence of NZ's politicians, along with its intelligence and police services. So far, Kim has been blessed with the support of the mainstream media, a factor that can not be overestimated in its importance. If you have the media on your side, you have the majority of public opinion on your side. That's because, like it or not, the media does a wonderful job of shaping that public opinion and most people are slaves to what they read, hear or watch through that media. …

Last night I was watching the 10'O'Clock news when I heard a familiar name "Charlie Yates" and then North west Regional airport...Crash. and I froze. It was Charlie, The Chief instructor at Marcair Flight school at 52F Roanoke. Although he was not my primary instructor.. Charlie has flown with me on the Citabria (Tail wheel) when I go do my currency. He is a pretty cool guy. He is Lt Col Charlie Yates (Ret.) USAF and used to fly the F-15s (Vietnam Vet) and then flew for Delta Airlines after which he retired and became a chief flight Instructor at Marcair. He has also written a book on his experience flying the F-15. "Mount Up With Wings As Eagles" http://w…

  17. Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the Archer III year 2000 model. I'm planning on doing a flight next saturday from John Wayne to St. George, Utah. Its 294nm and should take 2 hours and 30mins to complete at around 120kts. I know the range of the aircraft is fine for this flight considering its max range is over 500nm, the fuel should only take 24 gallons being conservative but the elevation at St. George is 2,884ft. Now this isn't really high at all but I know you don't really want to fly Archer III's at elevations of say 5,500ft . So my question is does anybody know for this type of aircraft, what the maximum elevation for safe flight would be? I'm just thinking…

Hi If it is all about money, would you ever donate to a developer who needs financial support in order to design a realistic 330/340? If they state that they will start working on the most realistic 330/340 if they are well financially supported, will most of us spend tens of Dollars? I don't know how much it takes to start the project but I think there are many of us who will be among the first to donate. There are enormous aspects to consider but this may stimulate ideas for those who is dare enough. So, if one has donated $50, he will only have to pay another $25 for a $75 330/340 package when it is released?? Bad idea?? Again, if it is all about money.... …

Hi Do you listen to blues? think Blues is the most underrated music these days and it is ignored in an entertainment marketplace obsessed with young artists. Yes I do like listening to Katy Perry (did I spell it right?), Jessie J and some of Maroon 5 songs but it's a tough and hard time for blues, the root of modern music, because if it were being played, other than satellite radio, not in the peak hours, prime time and who on earth would know about it? I started listening to Muddy Waters, BB King and ray Vaughn when I was 13, a time when internet and mp3 werent common. The regeneration is very slow. Buggy Guy is getting older, BB king has done all he needed to do…
