Just wanted to say thanks for Flight1. I've ordered many products thru them and have always been satisfied. I ordered another today and although visually the product was excellent, for whatever reason fps dropped by half in the VC. Out of respect for the developer, who gets a lot of praise for their work, I won't say the product. My system just didn't have enough oomph to have the performance I am used to with other aircraft. So I decided for the first time ever to opt for a refund. Flight1 was so gracious they processed the refund right away. That's why they are so respected in our community--they have a generous refund policy that keeps customers coming back. I …

Ok, so I'm holed up in Denver for the night with a lovely brand new Lancair Legacy waiting on the ramp at Front Range. I'm heading for the Pacific North West, hoping to go via Boise (just because I know a really hot girl that lives there). I don't particularly want to bother with oxygen bottles, so hope to stay below 10,000ft, and enjoy (and avoid!) the scenery by making sure I can see where I'm going. What routes would you recommend I consider? I guess there are 'standardised' VFR transit routes, but a quick Google didn't show anything. PS: Just in case there is any doubt - this is SIMULATED flying I'm talking about lol Regards, SkipperMac i7 2600k @ …

Seems kinda too bad that some people on theses forums can just shut a topics down 'cause they don't agree with the subject. Oh well, they have the power and we don't! And don't tell me it's a private froum, I am well aware of that! It seems to me that PMDG could police their own forum!

Hey All Never saw an Unnoficial POSKY support forum on here and with them not operating any longer I figured this would be the best place to ask. I've successfully merged my PSS 777 panel with the POSKY 777 and VC, but I've only one problem and it's that the gear doesn't tilt, it just stays flat even in the air. I was wondering if anyone has a link to instructions on how to fix it? Sam

Today my laptop ( second PC) blue screened and died. It's probably a hardware issue as it won't reboot, fans are spinning but screen is blank and it just hangs there. It's not a major problem, I used it mostly for just surfing the 'net. But it got me thinking, if this happens to my primary PC with hundreds of Euros of FSX add-ons, tweaks, profiles, serial numbers, scenery priorities, patches, drivers, configurations, axis curves, button assignments etc etc. etc. then I'm well and truly up the creek. I don't think I'd have to stomach to start all over again. Oh! and YES! Everything is backed up.

I'm quite used to being called an old fart, but there are several things in modern life that irritate me. At the top of the list(at the moment) is the added 'signature' in forum posts like so: "Sent, walking down the High Street/from Starbucks/office, from my X7200 Multifaceted smartarse iPhone using Tapatalk V26.5" Please tell me I'm not alone. Who cares where the post comes from?

Was able to have a link to UK TV last evening to see this documentary. A Boeing 727 was used to crash it for research purposes. The crash site was in the desert in Mexico, were a fully controlled B727 was set for a very heavy landing. Yes there was a real crew and the passengers were crash test dummies. The flightdeck crew and cameramen parachuted out at a specific point of time. What was interesting was that they set up a remote controlled facility from a chase aircraft to bring the aircraft down. The cost of the end of life aircraft was USD$300,000! If only one could get hold of something similar for a simulator conversion! I am sure that it will be possible…

I haven't posted on Avsim in a while, mostly because I had to keep my mouth shut at Microsoft haha. But I am working on some new stuff that I thought you could help me with perhaps. Anyways, I wrote a blog post about it. Hopefully you find it interesting. Thanks for your time! ^_^ http://joeysipos.wordpress.com/2012/10/12/taking-a-break-for-flight-simulator-and-i-need-your-help/

Two days ago I started searching on the net for ATPL courses and the costs. I knew it costs really much, but this being my dreamjob, I was looking if there is a way of making it through. The biggest problem: financials (as probably for many others). So, I was wondering, how do others make it? I mean, it costs here about €65000, and that is a whole lot of money. And I don't nearly have it. I am unfortunately already too old to take part with Lufthansa's training process which doesn't cost a lot but you pay later, and only chances I saw are basically taking the money from the bank. Now, while I understand that would be possible, I would have to put many ownings into…
