.....to DTG and the marvelous work they did in this latest beta last week to improve stability and still keep high levels of performance in my particular case (testing with 3 separate systems). I think if we can encourage DTG, they are able to make a fresh new simulator we all can enjoy.

Never had this problem before, but downloads seem to be hanging up and saying they're going to take 12-26 hours to download. My internet seems to be working just fine, is their server messed up or something? Anyone else having the same issue? I'm in USA and it typically takes 20-60 minutes to DL a huge add-on like REX or ORBX global..

I am looking at getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab S and would like to know what chart software everyone uses on their android tablets. Normally I like to use the FAA charts at https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/flight_info/aeronav/digital_products/dtpp/search/ when I am flying in the US or its territories and when I am flying outside of the US I use my subscription to Navigraph charts. I know Navigraph has software that can be used on android tablets however I like the format of the FAA charts, not to mention Navigraph does not have nearly as many US charts as the FAA website. The only other place I have found would be Jeppesen but their IFR charts are really expensive.

This is to inform everyone that the AVSIM Signature Rules have changed http://forum.avsim.net/page/AVSIM%20Pages/sig.html. AVSIM has a simple system where everyone can place system specs and information about your Simulator and various add-ons. We are therefore asking that you remove system specs from your signature and place them in your profile. There's even a place to list your favorite simulators and all of the add-ons you currently own! The information can then be seen by everyone in the sidebar under your Avatar (see my sidebar!). It's easy to do! Just go to your Control Panel (click on your user name in the upper right corner) and click on 'My Settings' and th…

Hey everybody, With the spate of very cold, Arctic air that has gripped most of North America the past 6 weeks, and when going to work, and seeing many transport trucks on the side of the highway(s), and knowing some of them must have gelled fuel (diesel will turn to something like Vaseline in very, very cold weather, and even with fuel conditioners at times)....how is it, that a wing, full of aviation-grade jet fuel, can stay fluid enough to pass through the lines and on to the turbines, at what must be incredibly low temperatures that those fuel tanks will endure, at the high FL's, due to ambient, as well as wind-chill elements in play?!?!?!?!? So, my question i…

I have a question, I want to buy binoculars for plane spotting at high altitude. What binoculars do you think is better suited for this purpose, or maybe you have something better to suggest? I want to see the livery on the planes, no need for photography, just watching planes passing by my house at 30000ft. I was thinking about Celestron SkyMaster 25X70 Thank you!

We've all seen Wikipedia, when a claim or statement has been added to a page, and Wiki's system has added "[Citation Needed]", however while researching a small Caribbean airline (SVG airlines) this evening, I came across without doubt, the best ever example of a [Citation Needed] that I think you'll ever find !! CLICK THE IMAGE TO ENLARGE IT ...you couldn't make it up !!!!!!!

None of the simulations with which I am familiar have radar built in, except for TCAS. Do real world airliners, such as the 737, 747, 767, 777, have onboard radar that would enable their crews to see aircraft within, say, 50 miles that are not a TCAS threat? Thanks, Mike

I don't intend to cyber-ly bully anyone, but I need to write this. I was just informed that this kid, Spencer Lever, who has been stealing not just mine but others work... had uploaded my Hornet cockpit to http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/, which is sort of like Turbosquid where people can buy your models. This dude has been pretty brazen in his fascination with my model and converting it for sale or use in DCS (as DCS: F18C), or to be used with online stunt teams and the like. What's more annoying is that he had asked me quite a while to go to help him learn 3D modeling, as all he knew how to do at the time was modify existing models. With that knowledge and knowing tha…
