I purchased mega airports from aerosoft but the replays do not show any AI aircraft at all in replay. If you are interested in making videos of your flights DONT buy them. The quality is also bad and even worse the customer service is dreadful from aerosoft. I was refused a refund , they stated this was on the sales page but he wouldnt give the link to where this was stated, he said it was a known bug in FSX but it is not a BUG in FSX, because ORBX and UK2000 scenery works no problems with AI aircraft and replays. Aerosoft customer service stinks, he was unhelpful, patronizing, smug and just kept saying its an FSX bug and no refund! I would suggest UK2000 scenery …

  3. Last year there was a short cable show ( I think on Discovery but not sue) about flying for a small airline (Dash 200 but not sure) in Peru (could have been somewhere else). Reason for inquiry is I want to locate more info on the show and try to find exactly what they were flying and hopefully duplicate some of the more dangers small mountain runway flights in FSX. Anyone remember this show and the name of the show? I do remember one thing; when one of the young pilots took his airline pilot father up with him to one of the remote locations the father ask if he was going to use the autopilot and the young pilot said they did not have one. I thought that was rath…

After enjoying autumn in FSX, I decided to go outside for real and produce a short film. And yes, flight simmer can be an actor also. https://youtu.be/njXzVYUyaOw Cheers and huge thanks for watching!

    Found these but it doesn't make sense! Let me know... SAT out of TAT SAT(°C)=TAT(°C) -3 x Mach TAT = -17 °C Mach 0.64 SAT = -17 – 3 x 6 = -17 - 18 = -35 °C SAT out of TAT for higher Mach and lower Temp SAT(°C)=TAT(°C)- (100xMach)-50 TAT = -31 °C Mach 0.74 You have 24 above M 0.50 SAT = -31 -24 = -55 °C

  7. I don't fly on any online network such as VATSIM when flying tubeliners such as the PMDG 777. However, I want to know how you guys tackle this issue. Whenever I'm flight planning using SID/STAR for my departure and arrival, at times it will throw in a (Vectors) or (302º) into my flight plan. Since I do not use ATC or anything. How do you guys work around this? Do you delete those entries or do you pretend to vector yourself to the 1st waypoint and then let the FMC take over from there?

Can I use these units to fly SID/STARS and do ILS approaches? And also does it automatically calculate altitudes for each waypoint like in a 777? I want to use this in a Cessna 182.

  10. I will be using PMDG 777 to do a flight and I'm using PFPX to plan it all out. I have 3 questions: 1) How do I know what cruise altitude to use for my flight? How does one figure out this number, based on what? 2) The fuel, pax, cargo weight... after you finish your flight planning in PFXP and look at your flight plan... where do you go to find out exactly how much fuel you need to load into your plane? Is it the release fuel? 3) Do I need to match up my Payload entries from PFPX and enter in the exact same numbers into the FMS?

  11. Between these 2, which one is easier to fly and more user friendly? I'm assuming the airbus is more automated compared to the 777.

So, just thinking out loud here and wishing upon a star...I bought X-Plane about 2 months ago now after being a long, long, long time user of MSFS and have really enjoyed what that sim has to offer too. I've even said in a few posts here that I was thinking about selling all my FSX/P3D add ons and completely switching. But, it turns out that I don't think I totally can. As I sit hear on a gorgeous flight from CYYC-CYKA in the unbelievably awesome Majestic Q400 with the best weather engine in any flight sim(ASN), I can't help but wish I could meld together the areas of X-Plane that are better than the areas of FSX/P3D and vice versa into one sim. The scenery in F…

  14. Hi, all, First of all, not knowing whether this is the right place to report following problem. So, moderators, when at the wrong place, feel free to move this post. On Oct. 30, I did place an order with FSGenesis for a total of five chinese regions meshes (NextMap products at LOD 19m). I received the purchase order confirmation, #100002456 (placed on october 30, 2015 1:44:50 AM MDT), as well as an other e-mail with all relevant serial numbers. When I could download FSG-1375 up to FSG-1385, I never could download FSG 1365 and FSG-1370 (Tibet and Xinjiang), always getting a message from the server, "An error occurred while getting the requested content. Please co…

  16. I'm trying to download a scenery (NewYorkX for P3D3) I just purchased from SimMarket, ok it's 3.1 GB, but forecast is oscillating between 15 and 48 hours (!!!), and after 20 minutes it's still at 0.0 (nothing received)! My connection is quite good and working well (100 Mb/s). Has anyone experienced that kind of problem? Thank'you Andrea Damiani

  17. Hi all. My home airline was Ozark (CMI). Most commonly, we would get a DC-9-30 or -40 aircraft on most flights. I am trying to find out if these aircraft were equipped with an INS type navigation system, or were they strictly VOR/NDB radio navigation?

  18. Looks like DTG and ORBX relationship has brought us something we have wanted for a longgggg time! This field was closed a long time ago in a travesty of governance by Chicagos mayor. You can watch this documentary here: But Orbx and DTG are bringing it back to life! As is the case with the other ORBX FSX Steam exclusives, it will eventually make its way to the regular ORBX market some time after the release on Steam. https://fsxinsider.com/orbxs-meigs-field-coming-first-to-fsx-steam-edition/ "Flight simulation has been intertwined with the legendary Meigs Field for decades. Few airports hold as much nostalgia, familiarity, and emotion for aviation enthusi…

  19. Started by Mithras,

I was wondering how you organized your hanger of flyable planes. Do you sit down and think of a plane you want to fly, then pick a location you want to fly it in? Do you, like me, pair up aircraft with sceneries, so that they comes as a package? I used to do the first, but wasn't getting much out of it, I figured this way I get to know a plane and a scenery really well. I'm even considering trimming my hanger down a little so that I have only one twin prop, one A2A GA plane, etc, I'm not sure. What fo you do? Do you hold on to many planes? I do like to save my GA flights, which gives Carenado planes a bit more life, you have to do the preflight in case you …

  21. I am planning a free ground school for young aviators using two flight sim rigs. Already have FSX on a Dreamflyer with 3x23" monitors. Planning in a few weeks for P3D on a 4k 55"LED TV with Iris Dynamics Force Feedback Yoke - MFG Rudders and a new i7 Skylake/980Ti box. Yoke and rudders already installed on an older desktop. For the training in sim, I need a solid flight path monitor. Maybe you have seen Cloud Ahoy? To use this product on a simulator requires both a ForeFlight and a Cloud Ahoy Subscription and a 3G telephone connection on an iPad. That is a lot of overhead. My search for a solid flight debriefing add on has shown a few products...Rex Latit…
