Hello everyone, I am just trying to see if any of the people here are interested in possibly watching or even performing in FSX Airshows? Some of the larger teams in the aerobatic side of FSX, have put together an organization called the FSX Air Show Association. I am just asking that if you are possibly interested in these types of events, to please register on our website http://www.fsxairshows.com Thank you everyone! -BEMO

Last Avsim thread on Terrafugia was 2013, when their concept of flying cars was announced. Yesterday the FAA approved testing to commence for their flying cars. Google finds some sites with info but anyone here have an especially good site to recommend? Thanks.

As long as Delta is around don't worry about your Mad dog or Level D being retired. Read this mourning they purchased a ten year old 777-200 for 7.7 mil. A new -200ER cost 277.3 mil. As this fleet ages, consider the cost of refurbishing and maintenance, as well as public image. Is this smart business or short sighted? The -200 had older Roll Royce engines. Considering the high cycle birds like the MD80 and B717 is there a safety factor? Can you find every microscopic crack in the air frame or turbine blades? I dunno. What are your thoughts?

Next year marks the centennial anniversary of Boeing and they are running a huge campaign, starting off with some great swag. Head over to here: http://www.boeingstore.com/Centennial/b/9999079011?class=tier1&ie=UTF8 Maybe if you have some extra cash lying around, you can get Robert Randazzo something special for his birthday (perhaps the engine blade sculpture). Seriously though, this is historic so support your favorite manufacturer! -Jim

The bill must also pass the House, where it has 152 bipartisan cosponsors, before it can go to the president for his signature. Under the medical reforms of Pilot's Bill of Rights 2, most pilots who have held a valid third class medical, either regular or special issuance, within 10 years of the legislation’s enactment would never need to get another FAA medical exam. The rule would apply to pilots flying VFR or IFR in aircraft weighing up to 6,000 pounds and carrying up to five passengers at altitudes below 18,000 feet and speeds up to 250 knots. Pilots who develop certain medical conditions, including a small list of specific cardiac, mental health, or neurological…

I am not sure if this is the correct place to put this topic, but what's the thoughts of all on the upcoming development? Set for release in 2016. I am hoping we go 64Gb as that's what's needed to get the most of a Simulator. You just have to look at there new Train Simulator to wonder what sort of output we can expect.

  16. Altough I am a registered flythemadog forum user I can't post there and I don't know why, and am aware that this question should be posted on their forum.... Anyway does someone know if a project for new "revisited" vc and external model is still active, in line with graphic "state of the art"? I love this aircraft and it a shame that there isn't nowadays an updated version for a VC and external model. I think that most of the code for the systems is already compatible, perhaps with a few tips; so it would be enough to revisit the vc and maybe the external model. So.... Would you like an updated verison of this aircraft?

  17. The Conor Mcgregor VS Jose Aldo fight was on last night. Aldo was beatin in 13 seconds. I have watched this clip a couple of times but its so hard to see the punch that knocked out a champion that hasn't been beatin in 10 years. I can "kind of" see a punch but it doesn't look like much, or does it? Have a look for your self Here is a clip with no sound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qnx-cjo-0Pk Here is another clip with sound. http://www.rte.ie/sport/mma/2015/1213/753193-conor-mcgregor-knocks-out-jose-aldo-in-13-seconds/

  20. I feel the need to point this out as another Avsim thread raised an important issue about blogger/reviewer compensation that deserves a larger audience because most consumers, marketers, and bloggers are sometimes ignorant of U.S. federal law and regulation. I happen to be a compensated developer, but my main occupation is practicing in this area of law, so I thought it would be helpful to post this simple PSA. The U.S. FTC has interpreted the Fair Trade Act to require that bloggers must disclose when they receive compensation, including free copies, for a product review. Violations can result in up to a $16,000 penalty per post, depending on many factors such as …

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the cockpit sim community, I'm currently part way through studying an aerospace engineering degree and so I've gained valuable knowledge that I wish to use to build my own simulators and maybe in the future sell my products, I would really appreciate it if you could take just 5 minutes to fill out my survey to give me an idea of what other people would consider for their simulators and to give me an idea of what people would like should I decide to produce products for sale. thanks in advance if anyone has any beginners advice I would really appreciate it

Yep, as well as civilian and combat flight simulation, I make little animations to keep me busy. I thought I'd share the latest with you, it scratches an itch I've had for over 25 years, so please enjoy! Besides, you know you've always wanted to see a matchup of StarWars fighters (that use WW2 physics) and the 'real' thing

Well, so I'm in the situation where all aircraft on vatsim are displayed as A321s, and I get a "beep" every secound because my model matching isn't set correctly, so my question is, which AI traffic addon is best for model matching? And does the AI addon have to be compatible with P3D (which I am running) for me to have any luck using it to model match, or doesn't this matter as I am only using it in vPilot? Thanks for your help! :-)
