Hangar Chat

Bottom line is the video. I don't know how to embed it in the forum. But I could have done much better with the payware, I used freeware which left a watermark and did low quality. I remembered this cartoon and so.. 1. I told CHATGPT "Write a 1 minute script about a dog who tries to get a cat to jump into a clothes dryer." And it wrote a script in about 2 minutes. 2. I pasted the script into invideo AI online movie maker and it created a video (about 8 minutes) and I downloaded it to hardrive. 3. I uploaded the video to Streamable. (about 2 minutes). 12 minutes total, but I spent about 30 minutes on the 3 sites learning how to do things…

I can hardly stop laughing. I would never have thought of this myself. https://supercarblondie.com/cessna-172-engines-on-airbus-a320-flight-simulator/ Well, when you get bored flying from place to place on a simulator your imagination starts to run wild. But I gotta admit it was pretty creative. Noel

If we could not mutate this thread into a climate change, or anti-solar panel and anti-wind turbine, anti-renewable energy thread... that would be appreciated by everyone. A pretty awesome device. 6 months of off-grid power. Bet its expensive, though. No electrician required.

Weighing 9 pounds which is somewhat heavy for its length of 48". Pommel labeled Earl of Huntington, and on the other side Robin of Locksely. Said Earl being commonly known as Robin Hood. Guard garnished with trumpeting angels and forest stags. A Cross on one side, the 3 lions shield of England on the other. On one blade side: John Little, a tonsured hair Friar Tuck, and a valiant Robin Hood. On the other: The Sheriff, young Will Scarlet, and a proper and demurely veiled Maid Marion. I couldn't pass it up. Craftsmanship, condition, and price. A little south of $500.

I am very interested in this "sim", but am leery of pulling the trigger to purchase. Having been burned by so many software purchases (poor programming, terrible graphics/gameplay) in the past, I simply don't put much faith into the developers "hype" or description of how the game behaves or looks. Sure a video doesn't promise that the title will be great (Duke Nukem anyone..), but at least I can see what to expect more or less. Unless I missed something, I can't find any footage online. In this day and age no videos??

I'm sure many of you were already aware of this, but I thought it was worthy of a post. The woman who played the green woman on Star Trek, Susan Oliver, was quite the aviator too. She played Vina on the two part Star Trek episode "The Menagerie", which was created as a means to reuse footage from "The Cage," the unaired 1965 pilot episode of Star Trek." (BTW, I paraphrased that last sentence from Wikipedia) Below the photo is a link to her Wikipedia page. A good read and very interesting. Scroll to the bottom for her aviation history. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_Oliver

Just one reason (of many) why I wouldn't fly commercial... From an aggressive pit bull to a first class passenger being downgraded to give his seat to a service dog it's becoming a problem. https://viewfromthewing.com/american-airlines-first-class-passenger-pinned-by-100-pound-service-dog-for-entire-flight/ Noel

Out of shear curiosity and for the sake of discussion, with no intention to trigger anyone, but to hear real thoughts. What is the rationale behind the long haul flights, that people are doing in the sim ? I mean, they takeoff, turning on AP after about a min or 2, reaching cruise, going to sleep, coming back for descent and landing. What is the point of this other than letting your GPU and CPU waste electricity ?

Turned up late, just to catch the Typhoon and Red Arrows. Wow, did we pick the right spot. St Aubins Bay forms a natural amphitheatre, perfect for a display. I decided the best spot would be closer to the castle, away from the crowds. Its been a long time since I've had fast jets flying very low and right over our heads. And the acoustics were awesome. Typhoon was amazing, of course, but I'm not usually too bothered about the Red Arrows, but today, the red Hawks directly over head was epic. Well worth watering eyes from the high winds.

Hi, can anyone help with purchases from Winwing? Maybe this can only be answered by an Australian. Three times I have attempted to purchase the Boeing MCP panel from Wingwing. And on three occasions, after about a week, they informed me that they cannot deliver to Australia, and I should claim a refund, which they have. I finally found an Australian location that Winwing uses as a warehouse. I purchased from there, and ended up with a cancelled order again. It appears that you have to pay import duties and postage, which I am happy to do, but I couldn't find any provisions on their website to pay extra charges. The Australian website is http://au.winwingsim.com …
