Note flight1 GTN 750 is now upgradable to airac 1803!! Garmin released a new trainer https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=14141 This has the latest AIRAC trainer so you need to install this to the directory it wants you to. Then goto folder C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\Databases Copy everything in that folder Then goto folder: C:\ProgramData\Garmin\GTN Trainer Data\DB And paste everything in that folder and press yes to replace the stuff. NOTE: I never deleted anything from C:\ProgramData\Garmin\GTN Trainer Data\DB I just pasted everything on top of what was in there and it worked perfectly, everything is up…

I use to love that spinning ride that pins you to the wall at the amusement park and then slowly drops the floor, leaving you hanging there. I don't know how many G's it exerts on you but it was fun..... Except I tried it last sumer and felt distinctly shaky afterwards, which is a bit sad. I wonder if you eventually reach an age where coasters and other rides are no longer safe. At any age though, 46G's is madness.

Eaglesoft have just posted some (external) screenshots on their Facebook page of the Challenger 605 business jet which they have under development. There is no information yet on which platform(s) it is being developed for but the screenshots certainly look very nice. Eaglesoft have been been relatively dormant for many years but they produced some quality aircraft for FS9 and, assuming they put some effort into good systems replication, this hopefully should be a very nice additional business jet simulation. I love this plane, but is it me, or is the alternate air valve missing? There is a label in the cockpit on the left side under the instrument panel for ALTERNATE STATIC but I don't see anything there and I've crawled around the cockpit with the Lorby Flashlight (http://www.lorby-si.com/downloads.html). It's mentioned numerous times in the Diamond AIRPLANE FLIGHT MANUAL DA 62. I haven't posted this to Vertx support yet, I thought I'd see if someone here could straighten me out first.

Hi all! I’ve bought my first Logitech (used to be called Saitek), panel for flight sim, X-Plane 11 in my case. I know people complained about the installation some years ago, but hopefully this clears it up a little, at least for X-Plane 11! What do you think? Do you have a Logitech panel, and how did you configure yours? Thanks!

I use ASP4 and REX4 Texture Direct + Soft Clouds and am generally happy with it. Back when Sky Force was initially released I got the notion from reviews and the like that it wasn't really what it was promised to be in terms of revolutionizing the weather and atmosphere within the sim so I held off on buying it because I couldn't spot anything I didn't already have. Now that updates have been released I'm back to considering buying it but I'm still not sure. Mainly that's because I wouldn't even be using the weather engine as I'd definitely stick to ASP4 to do that part and that doesn't warrant the price for me, personally. The 30% sale over the holidays comes in handy th…

Hi, Something slightly little different If anyone's interested. There's 3 Australian aviation museums up online that you can tour for free. Don't imagine that many people will ever get the chance to visit them in Western Australia with it being so remote so this is the next best thing. No VR headset required..... just view the tours on your PC or iPad 📱 https://vuseum.com Cheers, Andrew (Downunder)

The bad news... Fried motherboards, something distracting us from final approach, gps disturbances, fried above ground utilities, zapped microwave ovens, etc.. etc.. etc..... The good news. If we are still around by then we will have lived long and prospered.... https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/12/world/galactic-collision-milky-way/index.html

This rescue was amazing with the blades very, very close to the mountain to rescue an injured skier - https://www.euronews.com/2019/01/09/watch-extraordinary-helicopter-rescue-in-the-french-alps I especially liked the ending where it looked like the helicopter was going to leave without the guy recording the video and a police officer. Total precision!

After spending the last couple weeks installing all the MAIW sceneries and AI for North America including Mexico and the Caribbean on FS2004 I am having quite a time exploring it all. Oh, P3Dv4 still occupies the SSD and is frequently flown, but with the reinstall of FS2004 on my standard hard drive and all the MAIW stuff it's hard to resist flying those military aircraft out of the Air Force and Navy bases that abound even with the lack of Orbx eye candy and Pilot's mesh. It presents a very nice alternative and performance wise matches P3D on a computer with specs that weren't available when I was flying FS2004 in the old days. Next I will be collecting all th…

Limited amount of tickets available. Four hour drive for me, but it will be my first "big show" after flight simming 17 years. That's one of the cost's of spending most of a life in Alaska. Looking forward to the show and the toys. http://www.flightsimexpo.com/venue.html Cheers, Bob

Hello, I got longitude and latitude parameters in a Excel sheet with informations of altitude. Example: Lat Long alt 524.530 97.560 671 524.524 97.794 792 524.518 98.053 914 524.508 98.300 1067 524.498 98.627 1311 I wonder if it is possible to get this data into Google Earth for visible information. Just saw a possibility to enter a .txt with long and lat parameters (my seems to be a wrong format for that). I want to view a descent into an airport. Maybe anyone knows a solution,if it is possible.

Nope. Not referring to a person, LOL. But has no one noticed this stray dot, or character, on the Avsim web site? Made me reach for the microfiber cloth and screen cleaning solution a couple of times. Its on the web template because it scrolls with the screen. See it at the end of the red arrow in my image below.

I did not know where to put this, but I thought I'd put it here and let the Mods decide where to put the post. From time to time my clumsy fingers will mistype a url, and today for the first time in a while I did so. I was immediately hit with a pop-up on a ransomware site that I could only get out of by shutting down Firefox. But Firefox's Session Restore brought me right back to the site and it rendered Firefox usless until I was finally offered a dialog to not restore my session. As a former WAN admin I highly recommend that Firefox Users disable session restore. It cannot be done thru the standard firefox Options or Security Options. It must be done thru Abo…
