Often discussed, quite divided in opinion. Would be interesting to see general views on the online flying scene and how many here use online networks, the reasons if you don''t and the improvements you'd like to see if you do. Quite broad brush but will give a fair general view.

Hello all I am quite new to this website so excuse me if I am posting this in the wrong place. So I have just downloaded a freeware B77W from the link below: http://www.fs-freeware.net/downloads/download/52-civil-aircraft/2445-boeing-777-300er-emirates-livery-a6-ecs My only problem is that I cannot write in the FMC. No data whatsoever such as thrust limit can be entered in the scratchpad. Nothing. I just press the buttons and there is no ultimate effect. Is there a solution to this? Thanks in advance.

Recently I have been getting long pauses while flying in Orbx scenery in P3Dv4. I googled 'P3Dv4 pauses" and it took me to a thread here on AVSIM. I began reading the posts and then came across a couple that had links to Orbx. When I tried the links I got a message that said ,"You do not have permission to view this content." A year or more ago I posted something on Orbx that rubbed JV the wrong way and I got banned. Fair enough. It's his site and he has every right to ban me from posting anything. I just thought I'd ask what other flightsim and aviation sites visit apart from this our favourite Avsim. There are obviously the well known ones that perhaps most of us visit, ORBX, LM P3d, X-Plane etc but what about the less well known sites that you wouldn't want to be without? Don't get me wrong, I am not knocking P3d, just expressing my long held frustration. It's a little like a relationship, you fall in love, then after a while you have to work at keeping the interest and love alive. Sometimes, arguments and disappointments become too great and you go your separate ways. I fear this is happening with me. I've been simming for about 12 years now and flying with P3d since it's release, being continually frustrated with each version. Sure, not in the same way as FSX, as that was often code related, so CTDs, freezes etc etc. But with P3d, with every release, I seem to be continually frustrated, but at a different level. I am currently flying the FeelThere E175, but this really applies to all of the big jets I have. I attempt to fly using STARs, but using LNAV/VNAV I frequently find that the plane takes a wide turn when entering the approach course and by the time it's on course I'm high. I am then faced with a go around, or manual dive to get to the appropriate altitude. One solution I have used is to lengthen the point at which I intercept the approach course to compensate for the turn, but not sure if that's how others do it. When flying VATSIM this in not an issue because the controller insures that I'm at the correct altitude. However, VNAV doesn't have human smarts…

Hello everyone. I would like to ask you all question. What is the thing that keeps bringing you back to flight simulation? Is it the views? Or maybe the airplanes? Maybe it is the satisfaction of completing a flight. What is it that makes you load up your game and get in an airplane? Any answers welcome! Thanks!

I'm helping to beta test this new Navigraph Chart program, but it is working really good. I really love how it is set up. Very smooth and easy to use and the features are awesome. I believe that this is going to save me some money because I won't need to renew Foreflight. This will load a flight plan direct from Simbrief, with SIDs and STARs. You can see my charts all nicely lined up at the bottom. It will overlay your SID, STAR and approach chart right on the moving map. Really a class act from Navigraph.

As well as pretending to be a Freight Dog flying a Mad Dog, I sometimes deliver cargo by road. here's one of my rigs, after having fuelled up at one of my garages in Latvia: Euro Truck Simulator 2 (I also have American Truck Simulator also for 18 wheelin' across the pond). Whilst it's a screenshot, it's definitely not an aeroplane, so I reckon Hangar Chat was the place if that's OK with the moderators?

Hello I have been a flight simmer for 15+ years until stopping in 2017 for various reasons. I was using FS9 and flying commercial aircraft under ATC. So i was reading that they released a new update for Rex Skyforce3D and was looking on there forums. I noticed that my download speed was a bit crappy so i rebooted my modem, it had been a while. Went and grabbed a cup of coffee came back, modem had rebooted and i refreshed the webpage and BOOM in nice big capital letters https://imgur.com/Y6h5ceK What can i say lol. Just not a clear forum to post this in as it is not a P3D vs FSX issue. Nor is it determined by supplier, as there to my knowledge no supplier yet.
