I Hope someone can help. I've twice tried downloading Dimitri's AN-22 but I couldn't get it to completley download and a messege came up in Winzip telling me there was a problem and certian files were missing. Anyone out there with any knowledge or help with this? Thank you

Gentlemen,I posted a message on the general FS forum on Friday regarding Pete Dowson and his decision to make his software donationware. I asked yesterday that you lock his message to page 1 for a while but so far this hasn't happened and I've had to bump it a couple of times to keep it in the public eye. We all know that once a message drops off that front page it tends to receive a lot less attention.But, perhaps you could consider making some announcement on your headlines page or even create a direct link to Pete's contributions page to aid potential donors.I don't think I'm being too pushy given Pete's contributions over the years. Hi, I just downloaded Avsim Direct for IE and it works great. But I thought there should be a Netscape version... so I converted it to a Netscape bookmarks file.Would you like to release this Netscape version? As I said, I've kept the readme/file_id.diz but I've changed the instructions.

To the AVSIM editors:As the submissions to the library increase on a daily basis, so do the front-page descriptions of the submissions. When the library was first opened and there were a couple of files submitted per day, it was relevant for the front page to list the files to garner support for a growing file library.Today, I think readers would agree that the library submission rate is quite healthy. I no longer see the relevance of posting each and every file from the previous day's submissions on the main page. It seems a paragraph synopsis would suffice along with a link that says "a complete listing of yesterday's files can be found here". Instead of taking the user…

I am going to do something I very rarely do. Make a contribution to a web site. Avsim has day in and day out performed a great service to the flight sim community. Excellent news, downloads, reviews etc. All for free! While other sites keep moving to a subscription service, AVSIM has stayed the course. I would like to thank them and I hope I am joined by our commmunity and do the same. I would rather freely contribute, then be forced to subscribe.

Forgive me for sounding petty, but I think it somewhat diminishes avsim if forum operators cannot post the name of flightsim in their front page announcement of the round the world race...this seems somewhat small minded for what is otherwise a great resource for all in the flightsim worldSherm

Living in Tampa, the announcement of the new TPA scenery was quite exciting. However, finding out that I actually live in Miami was rather surprising. Just FYI, Tampa is in Florida (the state) not Miami (the city). ;-)

Great site, of course, but...I sure would like to see some more reviews on the sim sites... there are lots of products out there, escpecailly hardware (which incurres a significant investment) that we culd use guidance on before shelling out the big bucks. How about reviews on items like: PFC products (Jetliner yoke), Aerosoft MCP747, GoFlight MCP, Elite hardware, various other hardware and software add-ons...? Thanks! -mm

Why are there so many mandatory training requirements for VAs? Not meaning to sound snooty, I have been flying a computer since 1985. I am right in the middle of the most-populated age demographic according to the AVSIM survey. And I have hundreds of hours either flying GA or VA online, as well as experience in the VA management pipeline. I did the training programs when I had the time, or I was trying to impress my flight-sim peers. Family and job requirements demanded more of me, and cut down on my flight-sim time. Hi avsimmers,I just tested the new controller client of that new FPI network. Even though I first thought "not another online network" there is more to say here.They released a completely new Controller Client and it really satisfies me. It is easy to learn and not so complicated to work with like ASRC. The graphics are stunning!Maybe you should consider to write a review of it. I think it is worth the time!
