First I posted that the page is not compatible. No response. Then I posted what you'd have to change in your page source to make it compatible. Still no response.Could you please fix the main page? Not only is it not readable, but it makes MSIE crash when I leave the page. I am currently unable to read Avsim from my Mac. If I cannot read Avsim I wonder what I should do at the Avsim conference, as a non-reader... should I cancel my participation?I think the JoernA got it right in saying that your conference advertising is overkill. It annoys more people than it helps. Don't mess this up. Yet, from your side there is no response.Disgruntled,Florian

Now that you have 'Orbiter' as a 'partner', do you think you could explore the possibility of 'Orbiter' being distributed via cd-romfor those of us that don't have 'whizz-bang' internet connections.Perhaps via a 'donation ware' route (like the MAAM R4d) to support the Rich Harvey flying scholarship????Thanks:-wavePete

Can you please tell me your view about this family-owned scenery factory? To me as an european (Dutch) outsider it feels so very commercial; "we want to make money as quick and much as possible....."Is it really this way or must i have a different look!Thank you for your comment.bert van kampen webauthor www.worldoffs.com

Myself and a number of members of Digital-Flight have just finished struggling with trying to whip CFS-3 into a usable configuration. Between us we have tried every published fix we can find and yet problems with pauses and stuttering persist. In addition, the version of DirectX that CFS-3 installs seems to have broken the ability to join multiplayer sessions in both CFS-2 and MSFS2002. A quick look through AVSIM's own combat forum will show that these problems are by no means rare. My question is, how can you publish a multi-part glowing review of a product that clearly has major problems on a wide variety of machines?Tony Gondola,Digital-Flight

Folks; I purchased Lago's Twin Otter package today...was impressed with the panel, but it had some issues with flight dynamics. In my quest to find out why, I discovered that Lago is shipping their Twin Otter with a copy of the default MS King Air 350 airfile renamed to scds_dhc6.air The airfile is a byte-for-byte match...including the text describing the acft as a King Air, N-number etc. First, is this legal? Second, is it ethical?CheersBob Scott

Dear Editors,The purpose of a forum should clearly be the free and respectful discussion and argument about all issues, regarding the products, the forum was set up for.The PSS Forum in contrary is more a marketing tool for PSS.The rules of the PSS avsim forum currently are:Any comments, that don't please PSS, even if written in a competely polite and respectful manner, are suppressed or locked by the moderators. An example is the latest thread about the pitch behavior of their A320. Clearly PSS's flight model lacks realistic behavior, but they keep lying about it to their confused customers. Respectful criticism from independent professional pilots leads to: OF COURSE LOC…

The Airnav Systems ACARS Decoder crashes and I wrote [email protected] at once. With 13 days remaining of my 30 day trial, still no help from Airnav Systems!Airnav Suite 4 only displays a few flights crossing the atlantic, when using Internet update, no flights in Europe is present. In the advertising materiel flights in Europe is shown. All You can do is Register and PAY!NO contact with Airnav is possible, registration is through REGSOFT who has nothing to do with the software. As long as they can not help me make it work, No way I am going to shell out $70 of my hard earned Dole to them.I think You should warn Your users about the non existent Service from Airnaw System…

I wonder why I'm not able to download anything from avsim library. I mean nothing at all, literary. This is nothing about busy servers, I checked they are "busy" 24h for me. All this started about a month ago. Should I pay a fee? Please, help! Thank You. P.S. Parameters in my browser are the same as before when everything was O.K.

FS2002 and Windows XP Pro" I have sucessfully used Windows ME for 3 years with FS2002 with hardlya problem. Since installing XP Pro, the following occurs:1)Sudden termination of FS20022)Termination of all glass gauges after 5 minutes of flight4)Gradual slowdown of the FS over an hour, needing a reboot5)When switching aircraft, the panel of the previous aircraft stays put.6)FSNavigator becomes fussy, and will not slow the aircraft down on Final, nor will it allow you to take over manual control by disabling the Autopilot. Sometimes, even though the AP is turned off, the IAS light stays on.Other problems also occur such as violent course changes, and ground imp…

Why is it that the many areas of incompatibility between FS2002 and Windows XP have not been more widely published.I have sucessfully used Windows ME for 3 years with FS2002 with hardlya problem. Since installing XP Pro, the following occurs: 1)Sudden termination of FS2002 2)Termination of all glass gauges after 5 minutes of flight 3)Inexplicable loss of or never able to hear sound eg.POSKY Delta B777 4)Gradual slowdown of the FS over an hour, needing a reboot 5)When switching aircraft, the panel of the previous aircraft stays put.I have since installed FS2002 on to another computer with Windows …

A long time ago, in a land far, far away, the Imperial forces of the nation known as AVSIM, said they would open a land to be known as, AVSIM Store. The subjects of AVSIM made merry and danced with wine and song for many a night in anticipation of exciting things to come. Such a land was opened and the brave and noble warrior they call, DAN (CYXC), asked the leader of AVSIM a question. "Oh wise and all knowing Master Tom, will the store known as AVSIM contain riches with the AVSIM logo for us to wear about our heads and bodies?"The mighty Tom, ruler and most high guy responded," Ahhh my good subject, we shall have some riches for all to share very soon."But alas after man…

FYI, hitting the link to fsfrance news item on the avsim home page sends you to a fsfrance page that instantly attempts to d/l and install macromedia flash player. If you hit cancel on the d/l box, it automatically pops up again and again and again. The only way I could exit off the page was to lock down the connection with zonealarm and reboot the computer! I know it's not your fault, but you might want to check it out. You won't have a problem with the link if you have macromedia installed, but if you don't have it installed, it's a nasty page to deal with. Thanks

A big misconception among many flight simmers is that if an airplane is designed with GMAX, then it is suitable for an AI aircraft. It may work as AI Traffic, but just because it is made in GMAX doesn't make it suitable for AI use. What matters most is the polygon count and its impact on frame rates. One goal for AI plane design should be to improve frame rates over that found in default aircraft so that more AI planes can be present at an airport without deeply affecting frame rates. This would increase realism dramatically, allowing real flight schedules to be implemented at large airports without killing frame rates. To me, the benefit of more AI planes is offset compl…
