Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I asked this question when msf2020 first came out with mixed and somewhat vague responses. Now that the sim has been updated several times and there seems to be greater activity, I'm asking again. In MS FSX, the "horizon line" could be manually aedjusted with "Q" and "Alt-Q". This was an easy way to setup a somewhat nosedown view for cruise and an exaggerated nose down view for approach and landing. Although not very intuitive and a little cumbersome to use, it gave the user exactly selectable horizon position on the screen. I can find nothing at all that resembles this in msf2020. First made in the 1950's. Still made today. And it will be far into the future. Inexpensive but great speed, ceiling, and simple aerobatics considering how small and cheap this plane is. I have updated the nvidia drivers and now the FPS counter doesn´t work in MSFS In the other games i have the FPS counet works OK

Recently during a flight in the Bonanza I noticed that the autopilot was not following the planned route. I then noticed that the CDI 'button' had 'disappeared' and the direction display was locked onto LOC1. I tried quite a few things but could not change it from LOC1 to GPS. What could have caused this? Thanks

Hey all! For those of you who have a LOT of add-ons installed, do you notice that the more add-ons the sim loads up the worst performance is? How about stutters? If so, do you use MSFS Addons Linker to ONLY activate the add-ons you need for your flight? I have over 500 GB worth of add-ons installed. Could I be missing out on performance by having so many installed?

I'm still shaking a bit from this! Thought I'd carry on my journey to Nepal from the UK. Today's leg Budapest to Odessa (LHBP-UKOO). All fine and smooth until FSHUD tells me to prepare for different arrival/rway than SimBrief. This is fine! I've plenty of time to enter new ones in FMC. I do so press EXEC and...POOF! plane dead. As crazy as it sounds, but I am unable to fly with left hand.....LOL. This is my second attempt to switch but it is so difficult. I read and watching some videos where real pilots saying that is easy switch. But it is so hard for Joystick to hold in left hand. I am all over the place. Anyone tried? And what are experiences....mine are terrible so far... 😔

I've read in many places that weather depiction changed (for the worse, according to many) several iterations of MSFS ago, maybe around update #5 from the studio. This was before my time so I didn't experience the change myself, but I've seen lots of pictures from that era. What I don't understand is why the change was implemented. What's the best guess? Did it optimize the code or make the sim run faster? Or does MSFS consider the current state to actually be an upgrade compared to what was present before? Or did it fix some other kind of bug?

Hi all, the only addon scenery for this airport I could find is a payware one from more than three years ago that does not look too appealing (anymore)... I was wondering if maybe some other developer has expressed interest in developing this airport? Given the size of it, it would seem like a good fit for the likes of Inibuilds or MK Studios.

For all those people struggling to get their Logitech/Saitek Pro switch panel working in MSFS (even after installing the plugin), I found the definitive solution to be SPAD.next. I've been using FSUIPC and AAOs for a long time, but neither of them allowed me full use of the panel for every aircraft. I'd often seen SPAD mentioned being used for other hardware and was pleasantly surprised to find it offers a 14-day trial period. Hi all, I do not post often, but I have a question. It seems Asobo hasn't fixed some standard airports from the package. The AI does not leave the runway after landing, getting stuck. Now, it also appears that no dev picked up the good task to make a nice De Gaulle. Hence my question if there is a good way to make LFPG better, I tried the conversion of TTG but lots of stuff like lighting is missing. I never learned how to edit airports in msfs, but perhaps there is already a mod to enhance LFPG? I saved my pennies and bought the Duke...now it will not takeoff...I am aware of the Control Lock and turned it off (i think)...I am also aware of the switches to the left of the yoke...I placed in automatic mode... the plane just sits there and the engines just slowly stop running...help...second question...where is the manual for the plane?.... ..any help appreciated...

I bought this over the weekend, and it REALLY annoys me for a couple reasons. First off, within hours I realized the plane was not going to be usable... even so MS will not allow a refund.
