Has anyone successfully feathered any props on piston or turbine engines in FS2020? I am currently tweaking the Diamond DA62 and it refuses to feather. The props keep spinning with the slightest forward speed. I don't think they are feathered at all. The animations are of course separate and don't confirm one way or another whether feathering is possible. They certainly do not appear to change angle to the air stream. Even if I increase the prop angle to over 80 at idle in normal (non feathered) mode the props still spin at ridiculously low speeds. With that setting they should be absolutely still.

Means nothing to me, but I vaguely remember seeing people complaining about it, so here's a possible solution. Let us know how it goes! https://www.msfsaddons.org/freeware/tooltip-remover

I just went to fire up MSFS 2020 (Game Pass Edition) and I get the following warning: "You're too early We know you really want to get started, but you'll have to wait a bit longer. Check the store for the launch date" It also happens when I try and load from the store. WTH ! Anyone else had this and know how to fix it?

Hey guys, So i kept away from the jets since launch, i was too busy flying GAs all over the planet. Now i feel like i should give them a go. Im used to the 737NG pmdg, and the Toliss A320. Now, i dont really feel like going from topic to topic to gather all little tips and tricks that would help me not crash into the Sahara desert. (first flight going from Fes in Morocco to Lanzarote) Not so much the operating part of any A320 since i kinda now the checklists already but I especially need advice on how to tame the NX and workaround the bugs and limitations of MSFS. Whats vital to know? What in your experience work best to avoid AP issues, rogue elevator,…

This looks so cool! With all the problems people seem to have with big airliners maybe old historic planes are the way to go. Also much better to enjoy the scenery! 😅

Like many others I get highly frustrated when tuning knobs only to instead zoom the MFS display. OK. Don't start in on me with that - I can disable the zoom in Controls. Got that down. Tried it out. But I like the mouse functions that allow me to zoom and to look around, almost like Track iR. Here is what I would like to see. Currently clicking the mouse wheel hides the mouse pointer but still continues its operations. Can someone with the necessary skills develop a mod that allows a click of the mouse wheel to disable/enable zooming but retain knob tuning. So click the wheel to switch from zooming/scanning to knob tuning. Click again to return to zooming/sca…

I tried to load (.pln) an outsourced flight plan (from PFPX or Simbrief or etc.) to A320N (or A320NX) FMS but I could not manage to do this while in the sim(aircraft). Can anyone advice ? Thanks in advance.

Please excuse me if the question has been asked before. When autopilot is engaged in NAV mode while the navigation is the GPS, it works perfect. The aircraft flies the GPS route, this is good. Now if you are in NAV mode while the CDI is set to VOR1, which means the navigation source is the VOR1 and not the GPS, I noticed the aircraft doesn't fly in the expected direction. Let's say I am flying heading 240 with the VOR1 needle centered on 240 and the TO indicator, it means I am flying to the VOR station on radial 240. Engaging the NAV mode at this time should maintain the aircraft on the 240° radial, with a heading of roughly 240°, correcting potential cross-wind…

I wonder what has been fixed in the latest patch 1.9.5.0... The ATC keeps saying "O N E" instead of "one" The flight director still doesn't work The TBM screen are still extremely bright at night (I know this can be fixed with a mod) The wind direction is still not consistent between the PFD and the MFD I know I am not the center of the world, but none of the bugs I have reported have been fixed. I am a pilot, so I'd rather have a working FD than having fixes in the Japan scenery... I love this sim, but I am disappointed at each update.

Just read about this two new aircraft for MSFS. What's the track record with this developer, are they usually good?

Some of you may think I always complain but it is not the case, I just noticed a problem on the A320 and I share to know if some of you also have it or if it is related to my configuration/usage that may be wrong. I was flying the FlyByWire A32N to Split, Croatia (LDSP), which is not an easy approach, especially at night. I was in landing configuration, gears down, full flaps and low speed. I was too low on the descent path so I pulled the stick to correct this. Then I was surprised to see the aircraft didn't pitch up. It became really scary as the ground was getting closer !! So I applied full TOGA power and finally the aircraft slowly pitched up before hitting the …

Since the latest update, MSFS2020 has refused to respond to the Esc key, so I can't change any settings once I've started a session. When I then close the sim, the Esc is inactive in all other situations, and the MSFS2020 icon is greyed out. Any attempt to start the sim results in an error message, and the only way to re-enable the Esc key and the sim icon is to shut down the PC and restart. As I've said before in this forum, there's a lot that I like in this sim, but only when I can get it to work. Add these new problems to the hassle with my Honeycomb yoke and the roundabout way of doing everything, and I'm afraid I'm giving up on MSFS2020 until they get their act toget…

ms flight sim 2020 lose controls when communicate with tower. The plane continues to fly, but I have not joystick inputs until about 1 minute or so passes, then all is back to normal. The plane flies well while I have no controls, but may lose altitude if not trimmed. But, after a minute, plus or minus 20 seconds, the controls come back and al is good. My computers system is built for gaming and high speed internet too. Say I want to land, I will go into comms menu, and say I am in the loop for landing, or on final, then after I press the enter key with the message in the msfs 2020 menu, then comes the minute when I have no controls. Computer itself is ok, not freezing,, …

If there’s no ILS approach procedure in the database for an airport you can simply manually add the way points and tune to the localiser and make the approach But I can’t figure out a way to manually add an RNAV approach to activate the glide slope if it’s not in the Garmens database! Any body know how to do this?

Earlier, I posted a link to a mod, and some mentioned it apparently slowed their startup to the point they felt they had to remove it. It seemed to me that if this issue was real and widespread, then with all of the creativity out there, a solution was probably in the works. And it wasn't hard to find! https://flightsim.to/file/1124/mod-selector

At this time for me, MSFS is only a "Cessna 172 VFR simulator" and a nice scenery tool to view the earth from above by setting dev camera on and using the XBOX controller to span around. Hopefully, it will be a good flight simulator at some point in time, but it will take a long time, I am afraid. Now, 2 months after its release, the "simulator" has not shown any real improvements or bug fixes. MS/ASOBO's priority is probably to get it working and released for XBOX now, and not to do improvements and bug fixes.

This new sim at this point with some of it's weather and avionics development still underway (isn't that soooooo polite?), with it's excellent VFR flying attributes, scenery and visual cues, makes it ideal for exploring. And what better than taking friends on $100 hamburger excursions? I would love to see a dedicated forum. Something like the screenshots forum. Totally dedicated to flights from one venue to another. Airports with on site or adjacent dining. The posts would profile with images the two airports, the aircraft used, and some pulls from their websites of images and menus from the destination eatery. The flavor so to speak.

The Carenada Mooney and default Cessna 172 use the GNS530. Below is a link to the Garmin trainers for you to use outside of MSFS. This will install the 500 and 600 series trainers. Once started, it will pop them both up. Do not close one to play with the other, they both need to remain open to work. https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4867
