Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Here we go again. After 2 months after the initial WIP release of MSFS, the SDK/SimConnect has almost none fixes. This is the only real fix since release date: SimConnect Fixed SimConnect_RequestFacilitiesList. and it is not even working correctly after the fix:( With this speed in SDK/SimConnect fixes, MSFS will need to keep the MSFS 2020 in live for at least 15 years.

The Battery switch has a source selection of GPU. I assume this is for ground power. I have bound keys to the Toggle External Power selection. Selecting GPU & toggeling the keys doesn't do anything. Does the GPU function work on the TBM. or what am I doing wrong???

Can it be done in game using the pfd or mfd ? I cant figure it out ?

I wonder if I am really doing something dumb or have missed a very simple and important instruction or note. This seems like such an important problem, yet I find no mention of it. The general problem is than flight planner adds waypoints in a ridiculous fashion as I built the flight path rather than in the order I click on the fix on the map and then ADD. I seem to have no control over the order in which flight planner builds/places fixes in the flight plan. Here is a specific example: I build a flight plan that is a one hour circle in the C 172 taking off on KPGD Rwy 33 and landing on KPGD Rwy 4 ILS. I love this view because it looks exactly how it would when you're sitting as a passenger inside an A320. However you're unable to pan or zoom around while in this view. Is there anyway we can make it pannable/zoomable?

I had to reinstall windows 10, start over. Went to the microsoft store and download and installed the premium deluxe version. After starting it up only 2 aircraft appear, they are TBM930 and Cessna 153. This cant be right, but what could cause only two aircraft to install. I was sure to select the premium deluxe version. How can I solve this issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

I have an ai traffic library of 36 Gb. ai liveries worked day by day with TFS, FAIB, etc,etc...for P3V4. How i wish to copy and paste this into MSFS 2020. Im sad.

My understanding (??) is that Pollypot has an alpha or beta version of their Goflight Interface Tool intended for use with MSFS. Two questions: 1) Download: Can anyone provide me with the link to purchase and download this version? And; 2) Utility: Does anyone have experience in using this version and MSFS? Does it seem to work with most of their panels (I have a full set except the newer MCP, the EFIS, the Single Engine Control module, and the ATC panel? Thanks, Brian

When assigning a key from the keyboard or a button on a controller to activate things like Landing Gear, or, Flaps, I notice there are two vertical columns available to use. So far I have placed all my key/button assignments in the first column. What is the second column used for? Thanks

I have the Premium Deluxe version installed. Not sure if everything is up to date. In the game in the upper left corner of the screen it says Microsoft Flight Simulator - 1.9.5.0. Is this the latest version? I go to the Content Manager page and at the top of the page on the right it says Space Used 104.22 GB All the packages are listed with the Package Name at the left, then the version number, then it says "Up To Date" then the size of the package. All except the very top line which says Core Content, but there is no version number, and it does not say anything about being Up To Date, it does say at the fight, Space Used 80.980 GB. I appreciate Cache is downloading local scenery, question is how and when. After the latest update I was flying East to West on the South Coast of the UK and noticed initially the scenery was good, then later it seemed to deteriorate and the roads looked like something out of FSX as if they were painted on with a wide paint brush all over fields where they shouldn't be. So my question, how and when is Rolling Cache downloaded ? If I sit at my parking spot at a local airfield is the scenery slowly being downloaded around this airfield if Rolling Cache is turned on. Secondly if I fly East to West across the UK is the scenery being downloaded as I fly.

Hello, I use my XB1 controller only for the throttle control - the left stick is axe that can be good for full throttle control and that’s what I do. But I have some problem with that - when I check the white line movement in the control settings I see that when I move the stick the white line moves smoothly with no problem but when I get in the plane and use the left stick to control the throttle , it moves smooth till 40% then stop and I continue to move the stick and it is return to move smoothly from 60%, and this is very annoying, Is someone know how to fix this ? I tried other plane and I tried other usb cable and nothing helps. thanks.

How is it still possible that not one of them is flyable. Zero elevator authority on both the 87 and the 320, and I've downloaded every one of the 320 mods and there is no elevator control. The 747 is marginally flyable but those other two are junk. To think some of us spent the extra to get those and they can't be flown.

Is there anyway to simply disable all together the airport ground vehicles and ground workers ? i have set them all to 0 at the traffic options but they are still there. I just don't want them anymore. i am flying mostly to light grass strips and they simply don't need to be there.

Hi, Has anyone tried to take off in the Cessna Citation Longitude (MSFS 2020) with a cross wind of around 20kts? Even with decreased rudder sensitivity (-76%) I find it almost impossible to apply rudder input without the plane wearing heavily from side to side. It feels like the nose wheel is turning even at high speeds. Any experience with this?

I saw the video at the end of this post and had to find it in the sim. That's one heck of an airfield. Always neat when you taxi to the runway via sidewalk Alpha, then take off on what is essentially a sledding hill in the middle of a steep-sided and narrow valley. Oh and with a big building just barely off to the right at the end of the runway, and a nice clump of pine trees uncomfortably close to it on the other side. Private airfield that isn't even, that I could find, technically registered as an airfield, so of course it's not in MSFS. Only it is! My throttle pegs out at 86% with 99% throw and my Combat Pedals adds toe brakes with the slightest touch of the rudder pedal. I have new Warthog system on order but, delivery keeps getting backed up. The as is situation screws up my Bonanza Turbo v2 Flying. Regards, Ray

I how how to air start using the world map, but I don't know how to set the starting altitude. Most of my tries have been fairly close to the ground. I would like to start at say FL200. Anyone know the trick? Ray

And then it seems you haven't! Days ago I downloaded what I thought was the latest Oct. update. Didn't seem to take very long. Didn't even pay much attention. Booted up to fly last night and faced a 97GB+ update download. Are these updates divided into segments? I downloaded all night - over 8 hours - still have over half to go. Servers must be overloaded.

First thing I usually do after download is peruse the manuals. Can anybody say?

Have a friend with terrible internet, capped and slow, about 1Mb/s. I cant seem to find any info on the size of maps to download, am i correct in saying you can download map content for offline use? If so, how big is eurpe to download, or ireland + UK + a bit around?

Would a reinstall be the only possibility? Uninstall the sim and then do a complete reinstall? Or is there another simpler possibility to just move folders maybe? Thx, Karl

Hi Folks I have the Logitech G ProFlight Yoke System, Logitech G Rudders and Logitech G Throttle Quadrant. The Yoke and the Rudder Pedals are depicted in the MS2020 Controls, and they work perfectly well. However the Throttle Quadrant, which is connected to the Yoke by a 6 pin plug, is not depicted. The throttle lever, left hand on the quadrant, controls the engine speed no problem, but I'm unable to map the central lever to "Increase/Decrease Flaps. It defaults to "Feather". I'm also unable to set the right hand lever to "Spoilers". There are also 6 switches on the Quadrant which I can't map. Anyone with this setup had success? Andy
