Dassault Falcon 50

I've noticed that on every flight the amount of fuel used from the middle engines tanks is much more than the outer engines. By the time I'm up to altitude and have done a couple of hundred miles there is a 500lb difference on the fuel used gauges. This despite the fact that the fuel flow gauges show exactly the same usage with each engine. On longer flights I tend to have to open up the cross flow valves, was under the impression that shouldn't be necessary. Anyone else seeing this? G

I purchased the Falcon 50 from simmarket and their website is still showing version 1.8c. Is the update not publicly available yet?

I did a night flight with the Falcon and noticed when switching on the recognition lights it completely saturates my GPU if I am using anything higher than 2x SSAA. Taxi lights, landing lights, nav lights, cockpit lights all seem to have little effect, but switching on the recognition lights kills my GPU. Seems strange because from the virtual cockpit views it's impossible to even see the recognition lights, or anything that lit by them. Normally if I'm noticing heavy GPU use in areas with dynamic lighting, if I simply pan the view so those lights, or any objects lit by them are out of view, my performance goes right back up. First of all, thanks so much for making this lovely aircraft. I have been in love with the FA50 ever since my first day at work as an Air Traffic Controller at London City Airport, and my first aircraft which I cleared to land was a Shell FA50. I have just purchased the FA50, and am having real problems in P3D 4.4 using the Oculus Rift. The click spots (especially on the overhead panel) are so badly misaligned in 3D, that it is almost impossible to select switches. Is there any hope of improving this? I am desperate to fly, but might have to wait until I can actually select the switches. Thanks Neil

Hello all, recently installed the Falcon 50 and the RXP GTN 750 package. I used the GPS tool provided and I have the physical 3D model in the cockpit and the RXP GTN 750 addon is active in the P3D addon list. But yet when I try to turn on the 750 nothing happens. I even tried to do the 2D panel popout but that doesn't seem to do anything either. Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Being very keen to get the new dynamic exterior lights in P3D4 I grabbed the update immediately and installed it. The good news is that the taxi and landing lights are a huge improvement and transform night flying. The bad news is that I hit a couple of snags:- 1. My F1 GTN 750 wouldn't install - only the stock GNS 530 showing in the cockpit. I think the panel.cfg shipped in the update might be wrong - with the GNS only. Not sure about this but I patched it up temporarily by replacing it with the old panel.cfg file saved from my previous v1.8c installation. This has worked ok for the time being. 2. Despite noch having the new version yet there are some minor bugs that are already present that might be addressed. I just list them in no particular order: 1. I have brought this up on Facebook already but please, please, please lower the volume of the GPU, APU and fuel truck sounds. They are louder then the engine and are killing the immersion. Mark said on Facebook that they can be adjusted as Windows sounds. But that is not the solution to me as it did not work and also messing with my windows sounds for one plane would not be the best solution. Maybe make a louder and quieter option or a slider. I mentioned a problem I've got with the landing and taxi lights in another post below from Somillar. It seems to be different to his problem so I'm starting a new post. My problem is loss of the light beams (usually at the end of a flight). I might have no light beams on at all when I land, or I mifght have them on ok when landing,but after turning off onto a taxiway they suddenly disappear and leave me in the dark. I have now had time to investigate this and found some odd things. The light beams can be seen either from within the VC or from outside in an exterior spot view. After unistalling the Falcon 50, then installing version 1.9, I am unable to get it to track ILS glideslope. I own the RXP GTN 750 and installed it using the "Flysimware Falcon 50 Management Tool" as I had with the previous version. It seems to track an RNAV glidepath without a problem, I just can't get it to follow and ILS glideslope. The correct ILS freq. is active on the GTN, VLOC is activated on the GTN, localizer and GS activate properly on the AP, and the AP tracks the localizer, but not the GS. Kind Regards,

Just got an email about v1.9, apparently it has been updated..but when I followed the directions for going to the product page and downloaded the .doc for updates, theres nothing listed. Just wondering if anyone knows whats new in the update?

I bought my version from PCAVIATOR. They still show version 1.8C... Is there a way to download and install from the Flysimware website?

I was wondering if a Falcon 50 has ever been equipped with a GTN750 in the real world? It is nice to have in the sim but it looks like most Falcon 50's are equipped with a universal Collins FMS or something similar.

When I try to load up the Falcon 50, P3d closes and I get a brief message from Immersion Manager about not running in Administrator mode. Then, back to desktop. I'm running the latest P3Dv4.5 and have reinstalled the Falcon. I am running in admin mode. Other aircraft work just fine. I think this has something to do with the Weather Radar? Not a big deal, but with the discussion about which Biz Jet is best, I wanted to try all my biz jets. Any help would be appreciated. (so far, the Xtreme Prototypes' Lear 25 is winning the best of contest...)

I am new to the Falcon 50 and I am wondering how I turn on the apu? Is this aircraft fitted with one? Silly question I know, but I am used to flying the simplified Carenado version.

The N2 gauges and oil temp/oil pressure gauges are not working when I do a cold and dark start. If the "ready for start" function is used they are okay. Am I missing a switch somewhere? P3D4.5HF2 with F1GTN750 installed.

Hello, I have just migrated to Windows 10 and reloaded the Falcon 50. I typically set my rudder pedals to their default setting (sensitivities to 64 and null zone to 1) and this usually works fine. However, I noticed now that when I turn on the anti-skid system (No. 1, ON position), the left & right green lights remain illuminated all the time, even though I am not touching the brake pedals at all. I have tried re-calibrating my pedals, but this does not help. Aircraft auto-rudder is set to OFF. Has anyone else seen this problem? I did not have this issue in Windows 7 at all, only now with Windows 10. Thank you, Mark

Look, I'm flyng with P3Dv4, with dynamic lighting. If you are still using FSX or P3D lower versions without dynamic lighting then just ignore this - it isn't relevant to you. I have just been flying a series of approaches at night in bad weather, in both the Lear and the Falcon. Now the interior lighting in the Falcon is much easier to use and fly with in these conditions. The Lear isn't that bad, and I can fly it ok, but with that dark panel colour I need a torch at times! However, when the runway comes into sight there is absolutely no comparison - the dynamic landing and taxi lights on the Lear look very realistic and are fully effective in seeing surfaces and…

Hope somebody can help me. Just got Falcon 50 - was thinking I can use it with my Flight1 GNS 530. Using P3Dv4. The problem is that I don't seem to be able to get Falcon to recognize the navigation course I have setup in GNS 530. Manually, using the CRS settings in the aircraft, I will position the aircraft to track the Active Leg in GNS 530 within 2NM, but whenever I engage the NAV mode, the airplane turns off and starts tracking some invisible point totally not related to my course. My GNS 530 is in GPS mode, and the Course1 and Course2 in the aircraft are aligned with the GNS active leg course. Any ideas? Thank you in advance. Max

I've read the manual and am still at a loss on how to get the APU started. The BATT/GEN switches in the up position are ON right? And then the pushbuttons above the switches that illuminate- I'm wondering what those do? And the FLIGHT NORM "off" - does that mean horizontal? So many questions! Is there a tutorial or help document I can refer to?

When selecting all updates download for the Falcon 50 the page says OOPS! that page can`t be found. it works ok for the Lear 35. Thank you for your time. Supersonic

Dear team, Guessing this is no longer a one-man-band 😉. Bought the Falcon yesterday after being encouraged by the Lear update. While it is overall a very nice product I think there is room for improvement here and there which would really benefit the plane and make it even better 🙂. Here are a few items in no particular order.
