Hello, I have figured out how to add Roland's weather radar to the lear35a, but have not got it to work in the Falcon 50. Does anyone have a panel.cfg sample that works for them when they add it to the Falcon 50? Thanks again.

Real world climb procedures

I normally fly with the Lo fuel default settings and about 8 passengers.

I use 97-99% takeoff power, and always come back to 97% for the initial climb. Still, the FA50 accelerates like an F15, and then climbs at 4000+ fpm. Is this similar in the real world?

Also, at higher altitudes, it then struggles to get above FL350 (even at light loads).

What takeoff procedure should I use. Unless I pitch up to about 25 degrees and start retracting stuff really quickly, I struggle to keep the speed under control.

Parking brake lever LVAR

Studying the LUA scripts posted in this forum, I could find most of LVARs for using my Saitek unities (Radio, Throttle, Switches and Yoke) with the Falcon 50. The only piece I cannot not find anywhere is the LVAR for moving the Parking Brake Lever (the yellow/red one in the center of the panel). Applying the LVAR "PARKING_BRAKE (1)" I can toggle the parking brake, but the lever does not move like the other switches and buttons.

Does anyone know the LVAR to move this lever?

Payload manager not working

Hello.

I updated my P3D to v5.4 recently and the payload manager is not working properly anymore. Whenever I try to adjust passenger or luggage weight nothing happens. This issue applies to Learjet as well. Fuel loading works properly.

BTW I can confirm that the issue you mentionned about XMLTools is still there in V6.
Are the developers of XMTools still around to take a look about this (supposed) ":index" issue ?

Elevator trim disconnects AP

Hi,

in my setup,I have joystick buttons assigned to elevator up trim and elevator down trim.In the Falcon 50,the AP disconnects when I use these buttons.This is mentioned in the

manual.In other aircraft I was able to find the aircraft dat file and correct this.How do you correct this in the Falcon 20?I want to keep using my elevator trim buttons on the joystick.

FSW GPS Management Tool

It has come to my attention that some users (especially those using Win11 which I'm told does not have a Start Menu) are having difficulty finding the FSW GPS Management tool. With a typical install, the GPS Management Tool for the Falcon50 can be found here:

For the Falcon50: C:\FLYSIMWARE\FLYSIMWARE FALCON50 INFO\Flysimware Falcon 50 Management Tool.exe

On a Win10 system, there should be a Flysimware's Falcon50 entry in the Start menu under which you will find a link to the GPS Management tool. Note to install a third party GPS (such as the RealityXP GTN750) into the Falcon50 with the GPS Management tool, you must own ( have purchased ) the GPS unit.

Configuration Manager Install Location

Can someone advise the location of the Falcon 50 configuration manager installation location? I just installed the aircraft for P3Dv5.3 in Windows 11 and I cannot find the configuration utility/payload manager. I don't have a Flysimware folder in my start menu. I checked the aircraft folder in P3D/Simobjects but it's not there. Beyond configuring the payload I also need to install the RXP GTN into the aircraft.

Using the payload editor with fuel truck, I can certainly edited the wing/center tank quantities, but is there a way to edit the feeder tank quantity as well (besides the default P3D fuel editor)?

Milviz Weather Advantage Radar stopped working

The Milviz Advantage Radar was working fine in Falcon 2.0b but for some reason it's now just a static image on the front panel. None of the buttons on it work. One the other hand, the two RXP GTN units installed using Flysimware's Falcon 50 Management Tool in the plane works.

I un-installed Falcon 50, deleted the folder, re-booted the pc, re-installed Falcon, ran P3Dv4 once, and re-installed the panel with the two RXP GTN units using the management tool per instructions. The radar is supposed to automatically come alive but it's dead and it doesn't look like the panel with the radar is installed. I searched the forum for solutions before posting this issue.

Falcon 50 in MSFS

First of all I would like to thank you for the Falcon 50, it's my favorite plane and the one I fly almost always.

Unfortunately a few months ago I discovered MSFS and I have fallen in love with the simulator graphically, the immersion with the terrain is spectacular but I miss my Falcon 50.

EI know developers are currently busy with the new cessna 404 but we may see the Falcon 50 on MSFS in the future? Is there an estimated date?

At least in my case I will be happy to pay again for the MSFS version in order to enjoy this magnificent plane.

Com 2/Nav 2 not showing

Just picked up the 50 Yesterday and I immediately loved it. Still learning systems a bit but one thing I noticed is that My Com 2 and Nav 2 radios have no digits. (Nav 1 and Com 2 as well but the functionality is covered by the Stock GNS) ADF lights up as normal but not the rest of the radios. I'm running the bird in P3d V3. Any ideas?

Roland's Weather Radar or other Advantage WX alternatives

Hi all, I had a quick question for the community because i can not find too many discussions on this topic, but with the discontinuation of MilViz Advantage WX and inability to purchase the product, is Roland's radar a viable alternative? Can it be used to replace the blank screen where the weather radar would be? I absolutely love the Falcon 50 but it is not ideal to have no weather radar or visual TCAS functionality (not sure if Advantage WX supported TCAS to begin with), especially when flying online. I use the GTN 750 with this aircraft but it doesnt support weather or traffic functionality (which is a bit disappointing on its own, given the price). Also, given the location of the GTN install, it makes navigating somewhat difficult without the radar/map that would traditionally be on the main panel where the WX radar place holder is. If there is another option for a weather radar or at minimum, a gauge/screen replacement to visualize other traffic in the area, this aircraft would probably the best biz jet on the market for P3D. Any solutions, feedback, or answers to hear how you all work around these limitations would be greatly appreciated.

Weather radar in P3D V5.3

Initially the weather radar worked in my Flysmware aircraft with P3D v5 and the MILVIZ Advantage Weather Radar for P3D v5. When I upgraded to P3D v5.1 then the WX radar started causing hesitations where the sim paused momentarily every 15 seconds. I unnstalled WX radar for P3D v5 and waited for MILVIZ to do an update. Unfortunately with the release of P3D v5.2 and now v5.3 P3D broke the WX radar by MILVIZ and they are saying they can't fix it and haven't made any announcements that they are working to that end. I have made configuration changes to the Lear 35 so it displays dual GTN's and no wx radar is displayed but have not been able to do that with my other Flysimware aircraft. Is there a way I could get the wx radar to work in P3D v5.3? I realize that I can just leave the radar display alone and non functional but it would be nice go get it working again.

Is a FMC Expansion a possibility?

The pictures of Falcon 50 cockpit layouts all have an older fmc could you do this as an expansion? I have not found a GTN being used in this aircraft just a Collins fmc. I am a flight simmer that likes to fly very realistically using as real world as I can get. Thank you.

GPU Ext Power Switch Issue

I have chocks in, all three generators off, parking brakes on, the GPU image on the Options panel shows a green check mark in the upper left corner. However, I can not get the EXT Power switch to go into the ext power switch position. It is in normal when loaded and if I click it then moves to Low Temp Start. No amount of clicking will get it to EXT power.

Any ideas on what's wrong. I've gone through the posts here and the manual which simply says EXT Power on, Parking Brake on,Gens off and the plane meets all those criteria.
