Hi, since ever I have been unable to engage the steering using a key assignment. I tried to use the assignment via FSX, as well as via FSUIPC (Toggle Tailhook)- no success. I use FSX Pro, however without Acceleration.. could it be that the assignment only works with Acc installed? Has anybody get it working? Regards Matthias

Hello Flightsimmers, Well, its been a very interesting ride while learning to fly this bird. I wonder if you have found good checklist around. I mean, i have several manuals explaining normal procedures, etc, that is not what im looking for... Its about small checklist, but Pro-Like checklist, Like Checkmate Checklist...something small and condensed... Thanks in advance for sharing

How do I enter a named intersection into the right side of the TARGET POSITION field on the GNS 530 VNAV page? In fact, I can't seem to find a way to enter any type of waypoint into that field; I can't highlight the waypoint area because the cursor jumps from the BEFORE/AFTER position to the VS PROFILE field. . Thx, Al

When using the GNS530 popup, should the displays on the popup and the VC mounted GNS530 be in sync -- show the same info, change at the same time, etc? I find this not to be the case. In fact, in some cases clicking on one of the popup buttons, like VNAV, changes the VC GNS530 display to the VNAV page, but the display on the popup doesn't change at all. Very strange. Do I have some type of install error? Thx, Al

The Learjet is a wonderful plane. I have about 45 hours on it. But I would like to see the following addressed in the next update: 1. Pressurization system: The cabin climb/descent guage doesn't seem to work. It stays on zero, even in climbs and descents. 2. Standby altimeter: The standby altimeter seems to be off slightly, as it doesn't match the main altimeter. 3. Is there a way that autopilot pitch changes can be made without having to switch off the vertical pitch mode in order to manually set the pitch, then reengaging the mode? 4. Also, when radio altimeter is on, I get the "Don't sink" warning, even though descending at 500-700 fpm on appro…

I noticed that while the fuel level indicator for the tip tanks in the payload manager can indicate that the tanks are only partially full, the wing and fuselage tank indicators seem to only be able to indicated completely empty or completely full. So, for example, as soon as I start to transfer fuel into the empty center fuselage tank, the fuselage tank indicator immediately changes from completely white to completely blue. Is this the way it is intended to work, or do I have an install problem of some kind? Thx, Al

Is there any way to get the Flysimware GNS 530 to display wind speed and direction, such as with a wind arrow that is available on some GNS units? Such a display is very useful for visualizing and anticipating the effect of the wind during approaches, etc. Thx, Al

Hello guys, I dont know if its a FSW problem or may be a P3D Problem, but for sure im experiencing this errors every time i fly with the LJ35A. I get this error messages at the begining of the flight(Not sure what triggers it, just happen after 5 - 10 mins) and then i loose all my sound. Also every time i click any button(Like landing litghs, i get those 3 messages again... P3D sound is ON, and ohhh i noticed that my PC sound is not working either while posting this message(Cant hear youtube or any music), because i can even listen music or youtube, but weird thing is that fails when using P3D and the LJ35(Not saying its LJ35 problem, just l…

I am really enjoying the Lear35A. It flies great, but am having a problem with takeoff runs. A high percentage of the time I am having difficulty keeping it on the runway during takeoff despite being lined up and the nose wheel locked. About halfway down the runway the a/c suddenly veers sharply to one side or the other. I run all my controls through FSUIPC, and don't have this problem with any other a/c. Unrelated to the above, I've noticed the pitch trim is usually at one extreme or the other when flying with the AP. Is this to be expected? Thanks for any insights or ideas. Al

In the Flysimware Lear35A Manual under C. Engines Gauges, the Turbine Percent Indicator is Labeled as N1, and the Fan Percent Indicator as N2. I believe the N1 and N2 labels should be reversed. N1 usually refers to the Fan, and N2 to the Turbine, and it is the N1 (Fan indicator value) you usually want to use to set power. Al

Running P3D 3.1 under W7 - using latest Lear Update did NOT have this issue with version pre update Also using GTN750 - tried it in the freighter and the ELLB paint Select ready to start - start engines input plan to GTN750 Set altitude selector for specified altitude - say 10000 feet Take off - establish climb rate of 1500fpm AP ON AP ENG ON NAV ON (ARM) ALT SEL ON (ARM) a/c climbs - as it nears selected altitude ALT alert sounds and light shown ALT SEL shows CAP now the problem - I would expect the rate of climb to decrease as the a/c nears the selected altitude. it does not ALT SEL goes OFF ALT HOLD goes ON as we climb …

I just bought and installed the Lear yesterday. Did a quick flight with information available in the manual and checklist/reference sheets, but am looking for a little bit more info on fuel burn at different power settings, weights, etc. in order to do more proper fuel planning. Is this included somewhere? I'm happy with the purchase, but I am a little turned off by the lack of proper tutorials. There are a couple on youtube, but they're not too informative, and don't provide any information beyond what we already get in text. All I find is a video explaining the engine start up.

Hi, I was wondering about the altimeter synchronization and the altitude display in the Lear 35A: When pushing the button that sets the altimeters to standard pressure, the main altimeters for CAPT and FO read 1013mb and 29.92 mmHg. However, the standby backup altimeter synchronizes to 29.91 mmHg. Since all altimeters are tied, there is no way to rectify this by adjusting the backup altimeter only without negatively affecting the main altimeters. Please kindly have a look into this. Also, when having set the altitude selector to e. g. 41000 and then leveling out at FL410, altimeters at standard pressure (main at 29.92, standby altimeter at 29.91), the digita…

For those who have trouble activating steering lock by using the tailhook key assignment, try the following if you've got FSUIPC: -- Steering lock center pedestal button: activate if ipcPARAM == 1 then ipc.writeLvar("L:STEER_LOCK", 1) ipc.writeLvar("L:STEER_ON", 1) end -- Yellow Yoke Button (Master switch) to turn off steering lock if ipcPARAM == 2 then ipc.writeLvar("L:STEER_ON", 0) end Put these lines in a file (e. g. Lear35A.lua) in your FSUIPC Modules folder. Then, assign controller buttons the "LuaLear35A" command with the respective parameter set to 1(activate) or 2(deactivate). Doing it that way, steering lock has never failed to work for m…

Couple of GNS 530 issues: I am not able to activate the cursor on the flight plan page. When using the pop-up window for the GPS, changing the display does not also change the panel mounted GPS display. However, changing the panel mounted display does change the display in the pop-up window. Am I doing something wrong?</p> Thx, Al Edit: Reinstalled the Lear35 and got the cursor to work on the GPS in the pop-up window, but could not find a click spot on the panel mounted GPS to move the cursor. Should you be able to move the cursor on the panel mounted GPS?

HI, I'm new to the Lear35 and have a couple of initial questions: - When I look out over the instrument panel I see the outline of something that appears to be on the other side of the windscreen on each side of the windscreen center bar -- perhaps part of the windscreen deicing system? On the pilots side, it looks like a white line above the instrument panel that starts about at the center post and slopes a bit downward to a position approximately above the pilot's angle of attach indicator. The "higher" I sit the more I see of it. I tried to post a picture here but can't seem to get that to work. Based on that admittedly poor description, any idea what I'm seeing…

Hi, I am having a little trouble figuring out how (or if) the Lear's maneuver switch is implemented in the Flysimware Lear. Example: When climbing in SPD mode with autopilot on, I cannot change the speed with which the aircraft is supposed to climb without first disconnecting the autopilot via ENG button, manually changing attitude to bring the aircraft to the new speed, and then reengage the autopilot. In the real thing, this is supposed to be done using the yoke's four-way trim hat switch while keeping the maneuver switch depressed. While this switch is kept depressed, the autopilot pitch and roll axis are temporarily disconnected, allowing the pilot to mak…

So, after a couple of flights with the new Lear 35A I can definitely say that it is a gread addon! With the GTN750 and a WXR gauge it is almost perfect. A small issue that caught my attention was the working of the pressurization system. Cabin press and differential press are nicely displaying reasonable values in the respective gauge as the aircraft climbs or descends, however I have never seen the cabin VSI display any climb/descend indication, despite the fact that of course the cabin altitude changes during climbs and descends. The needle is always pegged at 0 fpm. Would be nice if this could be looked into. Thanks
