Hey Guys, I am having problems with my Mooney and can't figure it out. So once I start my a/c after setting up my radios and getting ready to takeoff. My Mooney loses all power to the radios and gauges. I have looked all over google with no avail. My setup is FSInn, REX, and Carenado Mooney M20J. Is my battery just dying or am I not doing something I am suppose to be doing? Thanks in advance

Hi Guys, I just bought "GNS 430 WASS along with T & N Gauges. I'm trying install it for F33 and having issues. When trying to load the aircraft FSX just freezes. In their web site it doesn't sat Window 8.1 is supported. I'm not sure if this is the issue. Has anyone got this working on a Windows 8 setup? Thanks, Hondo

I cannot get the plane to hold any payloads. I use the FSX default payload manger to input weights. when I hit ok the plane dips down like the weight has been added, but then instantly pops back up. When I check the fuel/payload menu again, nothing is loaded. I can load fuel with no problem. I have FSX with acceleration installed. Running windows 8. I also have their CT182T and Kingair C200, which both work flawlessly. Also the MFD doesn't have a checklist button like the CT182T does, even though when you turn it on a look at the dates of the programs, it says "Checklist version C208b" or something similar. Oh and what horrible customer service they have. No way to get in…

I posted this in the Baron 58 FSX section, but thought it might get more visibility if I posted here as well. I have two support tickets in with Just Flight and Carenado. So far Just Flight has offered completely irrelevant, useless information. Carenado has yet to respond. I see in the forums that someone else had this issue a couple of years ago, but no solution was presented in the post. Everything in the plane looks and works perfect, except for the wings and engine cover. When the plane first loads up, they are invisible. After a few minutes, they turn black and stay that way indefinitely. I have tried all of the suggestions on Carenado's website includin…

Fully subjective impression or well laid-out explanation, it's up to you. My favourites? JetProp! and TBM. First is super buggy, needs a ton of user fixes and feels extremely small in the cockpit. I love it! Don't know why. And the TBM comes in fast, expensive and with a very clean cockpit. Add the hum of the engine and the amazing details on the windows (scratches) plus the mandatory Bert Pieké fixes to receive a winner. Customers don't go by the numbers but by their irrational nature. Carenado surely knows.

Hi all, Hope everyone had a good Christmas. I purchased several FS9 Carenado aircraft during their holiday sale. Every single one of them requires the landing lights to be on in order to have instrument lighting. I know this is a pet peeve for many of you, myself included. Is there any way to fix them so the instrument lights are on without having the landing lights on also? I seem to remember having to alter/add the alpha layer. I've tried, with no success. :( I have PSPro and dxt2bmp so I could do them myself but, I don't know what to do, or what to look for. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks, Marv

Greetings, I recently installed the Carenado B1900 and have several hours simming it and I am a little frustrated. Let me start by saying that I have a high end computer built by Jetline systems specifically for FSX. I have never had any issues with the computer or any other add on aircraft that include many Carenado products which are my favorite. I really like the Carenado B1900 but it is one of the first aircraft I have installed that had "issues" right out of the box. I am also a licensed pilot with a instrument rating and enjoy simulating IFR flights and shooting different approaches. I have my system set up so the realism is about as close to real life …

Hi Folks, Well - the recent sale tempted me enough to purchase the C208 and C337... It seems that while Carenado did provide the ability in the FSX models to hide the 3D panel knobs (there is even a video on YouTube showing the Caravan with a full suite of RXP gauges) it doesn't appear they included this feature in the recent FS9 models... I opened a ticket via the “support system” about 7 days ago asking about this - that hasn't been acknowledged... So anyway – has anyone else been down this road ? Of course I wanted to swap out the Carenado GPS for the full blown RXP WAAS GPS... The knobs didn’t line up perfectly – but – it was passable… Unfortunately – it seems…

Sorry if this post is in the wrong place...I looked for the 206 area but did not find it. Yesterday i bought the 206 on sale from the Carenado website. I have the Saitek switch panel. When I try to start the ac by turning the mag knob when I go past Both/All it crashes the sim with a loud repeating noise that makes me have to restart the computer to stop. Any ideas? Thanks

Seeing Carenado have a holiday sale on their aircraft, I've decided to buy my first add-on. I don't have much to spend, so I'll limit myself to an add-on that cost $12 or less (sale price). I've been eyeing the C152 and the PA28 (I prefer single-engine aircraft), but I keep hearing lots of mixed things about Carenado's quality (though I used to hear great things about them in the past). So which in your opinion is Carenado's best add-on in the price range I'm asking?

Just downloaded this outstanding aircraft and would like to thank Carenado for offering this awesome plane for FS9. There's only two issues I've found that I hope get resolved: 1. Landing lights are tied to the forward panel lights. This has to get resolved. We need to be able to turn the landing lights on/off independent of the cockpit VC night lighting. 2. Contact points on the ground need to be adjusted. The plane's nose dips wildly when bracking and in turns if not careful the plane will all but roll over. I haven't had a chance to really spend allot of time with this model yet but it has been common place for contact point updates with new Carenado FS9 mode…

I just picked up the 182 RG yesterday. So far I love it. EXCEPT - I can't fly it in the winter! I take off from KPTK today - SCT035 OVC130 -3C - I climb out, everything is fine. I level off at 8,000 and after about 3 minutes I completely lose manifold pressure. The engine isn't dead, as if I pull the mixture it will kill it. It is running, just producing no power. So, I make an emergency descent and when I reach 2,300 the engine gradually picks back up, reaching full power at 2,000. I saw a post where carb heat was mentioned. So today I tried it with carb heat on for the full flight and the same thing happened. Carb heat on or off makes no difference. I have flown around …

I don't know if there are any Carenado guys (or girls) on here but was wondering if you would consider re-doing some of the older releases? I don't mean fully re-engieering, i like the way they fly already but rather add some of the finess that we are seeing on the later releases put on the loder ones. By way of an example - i love the windscreen scratches which move dependant on where the sun is on the Tomahawk (I know its ALABEO). Could we have that on the C152, PA-28's. Could we have a black cockpit on the C152, PA-28? I love the 'feel' of Carenado planes and would love some further finess. Any chance?

Hi, Is there any way of adjusting the eyepoint forward/back in the Seneca. At the moment when using Track IR if I lean back part of the seat pops in to view. I do appear, at default to be on top of the panel (To close) and if I move to far back then I cant look out of the sidewindow unless I lean forward. What is the real world position? Dave

Hi Folks, Haven't been around in a while - as someone who has maintained a love/hate relationship with Carenado products over the years - are any of the "new" FS9 planes worthy of consideration ? The Cherokee 180, the Skylane RG, Mooney 201J, and the Cessna 206 are the ones I've been pleased with... We all know the visual models are unsurpassed - so I'm more interested in BUG/FDE reports... Regards, Scott

Hi everyone, I recently bought the Carenado Seneca II, and overall I am quite happy with my purchase. Unfortunately the Seneca does not come with an RMI. As was discussed in other topics on this forum I tried to replace the ADF Gauge with the basic RMI from the stock Baron. Now I also am flying the RealAir Duke, and their gauges are second to none. I would love to replace the Carenado ADF Gauge with the Realair RMI, but I have no Idea on how to accomplish that. Also: Is it possible to switch the ADF Radio out for another Radio? Again the ADF Radio in the Realair Duke is really working just like the real Thing! I need to fly the Seneca for training purposes, but I reall…

Hi Guys, Is it just me or is this happening to others? I have noticed that since Carenado's CT182T my scenery (ground textures) seem to take a little longer to focus/sharpen up!!! I have in my Carenado hanger: CT182T, B200, SR22, CT206H (steam only) and C208B EX. It only happens with these aircraft??? All of my other aircraft (and there are a few!) do not seem to do this to my scenery. The condition is like when one fly's a fast jet low over their scenery and everything becomes blurry..... I have noticed too that it is much worse with the G1000 cockpits. I have been thinking that it may be their new "HD" textures and with the new G1000 -which was a f…

I get an odd problem with the mouse hand hot spots. These work fine until I undock a 2D window e.g. GNS and drag it to a second window. The mouse hand hotspots work on the undocked window but revert to the default arrow on the main window. I've tried undocking the GNS, dragging it back and closing the window, and all permutations of this. The only way I can restore the active mouse hand on the main screen is to reinstall the aircraft. I run FS2004 in windowed mode (XP Pro) with two side screens for popup panels, FSNav etc. I've checked it with AV disabled and active weather off. I do not use mouse look or mouse yoke and I have no similar problems with other a…

I am new to flight simulation and have just purchased and installed my first FSX add on aircraft, the Carenado C182 Skylane RG. When loaded in FSX the gauges are black and there is no radio stack. I have checked the Airplane folder and all the C182 folders and files seem to be present (Model, Panel, Sound and Texture plus Aircraft.cfg and pdfs etc. FSX is loaded on my F: drive F:\microsoft games\Microsoft flight simulator X\simobjects\airplanes\carenado C182 RG Any ideas please.

Dear friends, Incidentally I saw this forum for Carenado products. Perhaps your expert knowledge can solve two problems, which frustrated me in awhile. First problemconcerns the beautiful Carenado Archer II for FS2004: In VC view there is an immense gap between the left edge of the "glass" and the right edge of the center windshield strut. It actually looks like the "glass" of the windscreen is shifted off to the right. The gap is only visible fom inside in VC view. I have contacted Carenado and they indeed have been very cooperative in trying to resolve this issue but in the end they could not figure out what would cause this trouble nor how to fix it. I alrea…
