For those who have not heard, Reality XP's awsome GPS units have finally been upstaged by the new GTN750/650 full color units. They have just about every thing the real GTN units have and seem to work the same way the Reality XP GPS untis work. They use an outside trainer program, Also they can be purchased seporately for both FSX and P3Dv2. Full WAAS and Safe Taxi plus airport charts can be viewed along with GPWS and Airtrafic alerting and can be crossfilled. This would be I great thing to start including in all and future aircraft VCs

Carenado does a great job at modeling their aircrafts exterior lights, however I was wondering if it is possible to switch them to other aircraft for example the red flashing beacon light on the bottom of the King Air 200 I would want to put on the Carenado 340 as its normal beacon light. Is there anyway you can do that?

Does the Carenado Piper Seneca II for FSX have a glideslope indicator? apparently not. I set the ILS on both VOR1 and VOR2 OBS but I did not see anything that indicated whether I was on/at/above/below the glideslope. Did I miss that? is there a way to add a glideslope indicator? I managed to add a DME on the SHIFT+1 2D panel because when trying to fly on instruments I need to clearly see the DME and on the VC it was not so visible unless you do zoom/pan. It looks okay on the 2D panel but still a tad small. Another gauge I miss in the 2D panel (which I dock on the other monitor) was the Vertical Speed indicator. Does it not have a clock either?

Hey I have just downloaded the Beech Baron (BE600) from Carenado. Problem is, when I cut and paste the registration number, the installer say's wrong serial number, try again. What can I do. I feel kind of ripped off.

I'm sure Carenado knows by now that Flight1 has released the Garmin GTN650/750 for FSX. This is a modern GPS unit that in the real world has replaced the GNS430/530 in Garmin's catalog. I've tried somewhat successfully to add the gauge to some of my Carendao aircraft in place of the RXP Garmin units, but adding it to the VC panels is another thing. I've done it, but back lighting designed for the older RXP or Carenado units is a problem. I don't know how to find it's file. Plus the newer Carenado planes have bezels embedded in the panels. Are there any plans to issue installer programs to add this new gauge? It sure would be nice since most of Carenado's GA aircr…

I just started flying the Carenado Mooney M20J. The fuel selector in the cockpit has 3 positions: Left, Right and Off. There is no "both" option. Is there any way to have fuel drawn from both tanks simultaneously? If not, what is the correct procedure to allocate fuel while in flight? Switch tanks at prescribed intervals? Or use all the fuel in one tank before switching to the other tank. Wouldn't this cause an imbalance situation? Thanks for any information.

I wanted to mention I've found other, better places for Carenado enthusiasts than here at Avsim. Carenado never shows up here. I would like to recommend that this sub-forum be renamed "The Unofficial EAGLESOFT Support Forum." Or "The Unofficial EAGLESOFT Support Forum II," if there already is one. The villagers of that particular tribe seem to have little better to do than to raid the village here, burn the huts and steal the women, every time they see even the slightest hint of smoke from a possible cookout in the distance. So, let's add some clarity to the situation by reorganizing this forum, eh? Steve

Hey everyone, I'm doing a repaint of the C152 for my flight school and I've got a problem and I hope you guys can help me. I'm using the blank textures Carenado provides, here's the issue: In this picture you can see that both orange and yellow stripes on the horizontal stabilizer are aligned: But once in FSX this happens: The right side shows up unaligned. In case I haven't explained well enough, I'm talking about the alignment between the elevator and the rest of the horizontal estabilizer. Now I believe this part of the plane is mirrored, so why one side is aligned and the other one isn't? Hopefully someone knows how to fix this. Thanks!

Even with both patches installed the airplane will not climb passed 8500 ft and will only maintain that altitude at a speed of 116 knots. Anyone have an idea what may be wrong?

Hello Carenado team and Carenado fans ! Me and a Few of my friends are madly in love with an Aircraft and we though: Who could do it right ?! So we're asking you, we are a enthousiastic fan club of the Dornier Do 228 with more than hundred of pleaple. We would like to know if it would be possible for you guys to consider on to doing that aircraft. All of your aircrafts are great my personnal fav's are the C152, C172 all of them, the C208B (all 3 of them) and the Phenom. Please consider this cause a C208B isn't that young then the Dornier and you did it ! So just take some time into thinking about it please ! Cheers !

Hi Everyone, I'm trying to remove the window reflections in my Carenado Cessna 152, I've downloaded the alabeo152prop.zip and looked in my Carenado C152 folder and can't find the texture to replace? I see the Alabeo152Prop.dds file but no Alabeo152Prop.bmp? Am I missing something here? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Sam

When I click on the update for an aircraft (right side of update window) all I get is a small window with a URl pointing to a zip file. Not knowing what to do with this I tried clicking on it and pasting iit into the browser address search but that just give a bad URL indication. Tried Chrome, Firefox and IE Explorer. Example: http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/SiteDownload.php?p3=BE700X_SP2.zip

Great news with the forum. I've bought most of your products but now I'd love to see Carenado develop the following....Piper PA-31 Navajo CheiftanCessna 207 (Think it was referred to as the skywagon - there were a few in the UK that did parachute jumping)Cessna 150 Aerobat - Could the 152 be adapted? (Used to fly one a many years ago)Piper PA-23 AztecCessna 177 / 177RGProbably in that order. Anyone else?

Hi,Dome light and instruments lights are on 1 switch. Although you can see fine to the outside of the ac it really gets on your nerves. I found a few discussions in other forums and there is a partial fix for this by editing out one of the fx_ lines in then [lights] section of the cfg. This edit does shut off the dome/cabin light, but also leaves very dimly lit instruments on the bottom half of all the instruments. There was also some talk on other forums that this is a limitation of FSX. If this is true, many ac modelers have found away around the issue, as many have incorporated seperate switchs into their models. My question here really is why Carenado did not program…
