  2. Hello, I'm having a problem when recentering the VR View with the default key-command, I think it's called "recenter ( or reset ) VR view": it sets me up correctly in the pilotseat but I'm always having the problem that the view is not straight forward but always a bit left of right of the forward view, so that I'm always sitting a bit angled to the left or right which seriously breaks the immersion. How can I adjust/pan/rotate the view-direction to the left or right so that my "virtual head" is pointed exactly forward in order to look straight forward in the cockpit? I've tried the "pan left/right" commands but they don't work in VR. Furthermore "X-Ca…

Hi I'm not a beginner...but I am very confused. It's all about whether WMR needs Steam VR to run. I have used VR for a number of years, originally Xplane-11 with the Reverb Gen 1, then X-plane with the Reverb Gen 2 and for the past year, MSFS with the Reverb Gen 2.. Originally, for use with X-plane (or was it WMR?) the set up required me to load 'Steam VR' and 'WMR for Steam VR'. Additionally, in the Steam VR settings, the OpenXR version for X-plane was preferred as 'Steam VR'. For MSFS, the preferred OpenXR version is the default Windows Version - switchable with the 'Fix It' warning on the WMR pop up window. I have no int…

I ask since I am considering this plane but I have one concern. I have seen reviews where you put up some kind of checklist window where you select to spin up the motors flywheel, which is needed to start the engine. Well these kind of windows usually are not visible in VR. For example this is the case with Milviz C310. Is it also so in the 247 and if what can be done about it ? It's about VR in MSFS I missed the correct forum. Maybe it can be moved there ?

Hi Everyone, I am having a problem running a PC based game Flight Simulator X Steam edition using FlyInside through Air Link. I have done the following. 1. Run "Oculus Home" on your PC 2. Go to "Settings" in the left-hand column 3. Choose the "General" tab 4. Make sure "Unknown Sources" is enabled Here are the issues: I can see the FSX SE splash scream in the goggle view and it indicated in the lower left corner FSX Loading... and it just hangs at that point. In one session I was able to control the PC FSXSE window view with turning the goggles, but again nothing in the VR goggles, just the FSXSE loading splash screen. …

When playing various flying games I currently sit at my desk with the various peripherals scattered about. The key is I always have had my keyboard and mouse within reach. I use the mouse all the time to click on anything inside the game because I find the hand controllers (G2 Reverb) awkward to use. I've tried to force myself to use them but I feel pointing the little lasers at the panel bizarre, and I can do it with a mouse click about 5x faster, easier. Here's the new challenge and why I'm looking for an alternative. I'm a pilot and am planning on working on my Rotary add on for fun. I typically don't feel manipulation of my various joysticks, yokes, etc transla…

Hi all, recently got back into flight sim and purchased msfs and a Quest 2 headset. However missing using my PMDG and A2A add on's. I purchased quite oa lot of planes on FSX over the years, and before I spend hours reinstalling it to my new PC is it possible to get it working in VR? If yes, is it straightforward to get running? How does it perform? Is it likely I will be disappointed compared to msfs visually? Is it worth the time and effort to spend hours messing with settings? I cant see myself running it in 2d now i have flown vr so just wondered it its worth all the time and effort reinstalling etc etc Is there addition…

  8. Has anyone tried quitting out of the BETA for FS2020? It lead to a lot of problems during BETA 11. You either had to go back into BETA or do a complete reinstall of FS2020. So I am just checking if anyone has opted out and how that went. I am considering opting out instead of automatically being updated to BETA for U12. At least to start with as currently my sim is running fantastic. Any feedback is appreciated.

In VR I have the problem that the mouse cursor for the right eye is some centimeters to the right of the cursor in the left eye. The cursor of the left eye is the right one for clicking knobs. I don't have this problem when in VR Pilot view but I do when I switch to the Instrument Views. Can this problem be resolved? It only happens in the PMDG B737 700 (I dont have the other 737's).

Hello, everyone. Noob here. I did a search here for VR vs hardware (actual sit-in cockpit with flat-screen, etc) and nothing came up; probably because of my inability to search for this properly. I looked for this a while back, and honestly it didn't seem that the VR world was up to par back then, but things have apparently changed. I have a cockpit-cabinet sitting in my house that I would like to outfit with controls, screens, etc. However, I was told not to bother. To just go VR and that I won't be disappointed. But what is the consensus here? Couldn't you do both? I'll keep it simple and start with that question. Thanks in advance!

Dear friends, I'm considering a 3-monitors setup. I own a Huawei Mateview 34" 3440x1440. I'm considering adding 2 lateral displays, but I don't have enough room for 21:10 so I would go for a couple of 27" 2560x1440. Question is: since the 2 lateral displays will have the same vertical dimension and resolution of the central one (1440p) but the horizontal dimension/resolution will be lower (2560 vs 3440), will I experience some image scaling or deformation, or do you believe this solution would work? Having the same vertical resolution, I believe the image should stitch well from the central to the lateral. In other words do you believe that I will…

Certainly an upgrade over the Quest 2 in every way - and arguably the most capable VR headset on the market. If it were $500 I would definitely consider it - but $1,500? The Quest 2 is still a bargin IMHO - 70% of the capability (especially if you are streaming from a PC and not running apps on the native processor) for 80% less $$$. 19. I'll bought HP Reverb G2 soon after watch some review. Plan to play mainly for MS flight sim gaming of the year, DCS World, Elite Dangerous. Here is my PC spec: - i7-6700K - Z170 MB - DDR3 32GB - MSI GTX 1080 8GB - SSD WD blue 1TB - 24" Display 1920 x 1080 I'd like to have good VR experience, also when play with display 24" - when not play using VR. Does it go well with my GTX 1080? Do I need to upgrade 1080 card, and what should I get to have good performance/value? - I've budget around up to RTX 3080 only. Thank.

I am complety new to VR and I am bungling with switching from my 2d screen to my HP Reverb G2 and whether or not to transfer control with Windows key + Y. They never show any of this in all the Youtube videos, but when I Alt-Tab to VR, the screen also shows the “VR mode” and the mouse pointer shows on my screen. When pressing Win+Y control is transferred to the headset and the MSFS window on the screen minimizes. This ‘to me’ seems logical; The pc does not have to render the screen picture and you want to control everything in the headset. Unfortunately however, the mouse only seems to work in VR when the MSFS window is NOT minimized on screen!??! …

I found this to be true tonight when setting up a new HP Reverb V2. Your millage may vary. The newer version of the power cord breakout box has an on/off button with a status light. But that light doesn't match the state exactly. You may think the headset isn't working, and the Windows Mixed Reality portal reports '' Connect Your Headset" even though the status light on that breakout box is on, and the headset will not light up. But you tap the button on the power cord breakout box and light will turn on (but the internal switch inside that breakout box is still off). But keep holding the button for 4 or 5 more seconds and the power will come on inside the little bo…
