SimXR instructions say to use Virtual Desktop passthrough feature. Is that a separate utility or is it a part of the Quest 3? If part of the Quest 3, how does one get to configure?

Hi I can't believe I can't find this on the internet and can't believe that I can't find where I wrote it down last time I asked the clever folks round here the same question! 😀 I've been using Virtual Desktop with the Quest 3. How to I get to the full Settings menu? I know there is a very easy shortcut...but can't for the life of me remember what it was. I will be eternally grateful if someone can remind me. Thanks in advance!

Reinstalled Alien Isolation to run in my Reverb G2 and it's awesome. I use MotherVR 0.4 as I did years ago. Try it for the stunning athmosperic immersion.

Hi all. I'm thinking about getting into VR probably with a Quest 3. How does it runs with AMD cards? Almost everywhere on net I see people using it with nvidia, but not AMD. I have a 7900XT with a 14700KF, should it be enough for fs2020? (and 2024 in future) And main question, how did you deal with motion sikness? I remember years ago, I tried a rift 1 in a shopping mall with a driving sim, after less then 2 minutes i had to stop, and felt bad for an hour afterwards. I was literally feeling like if i was faling off from the chair. I've suffered of labyrinthitis (when the inner ear goes crazy and you loose your sense of equilibrium) when I was a child, …

Is anyone aware of a VR program and/or system that allows 2 VR users on the same machine. I work for a small airline and we are hoping to use a VR system for CPT (cockpit procedure training), where crews practice flows/SOP's before going to SIM or completing "on-wing" training in the actual aircraft. Current CPT is completed either sitting in a plane on the ramp or in hangar (not always practical as is dependant on aircraft availability - usually only in the hangar for maintenance, cold to do outside in the winter), having to pay for extra sim sessions to do in the full motion sim (expensive $$$), or with posters pretending to push buttons on paper. VR flight decks see…

The Metaquest app has no problem finding my Quest 2 VR headset, and have enjoyed many VR videos on YouTube. Yet MSFS 2024 cannot find it. I've searched all over the net for this problem but have found very few suggestions that don't work for me. Any ideas?

Can't go wrong when there is a 100% discounted price. Available on Steam. Interviews and commentary might be interesting. 🙂

Quest BETA version 1.33.0 - Release Notes @everyone To participate in this Beta, follow these 2 steps: 1. Open your library in VR, click the 3 dots on the Virtual Desktop icon, click Settings, click Release Channels then select the BETA channel. 2. On your PC, download and install the Beta Streamer on top: <https://download.vrdesktop.net/files/beta/VirtualDesktop.Streamer.Setup.exe> Changes in this Beta version: • Significantly improved encrypted stream performance • Added IPv6 support. This should help with connectivity issues to Shadow or other cloud services when users are behind a double NAT or CGNat • Added "Remote Routing" statu…

https://www.theverge.com/2024/2/22/24079928/sony-psvr2-pc-support-2024 This headset is great on the PS5. I'm hoping that Sony picks MSFS as my HP G2 is really pathetic.

Hey all, just out of nostalgia I installed FSX-SE and FlyInside on a new PC but get a fatal error anytime I run it with a controller connected (I tried without a controller, FSX starts fine but then I cannot get past the FlyInside welcome screen). Anyone who's using FlyInside for FSX-SE still in July 2024? How is it working for you? Thanks

I just did a factory reset on my Oculus quest 2 and in the process of setting it up, I am being asked to sign in to a work email address. Given that I have not worked for approximately 20 years, how do I continue the setting up process in order to use my headset in MSFS2020. This is just totally baffling and frustrating for an old codger like myself. Can anybody tell me why it is necessary in the first place? Regards to all Tony

I could see the Quest Lite becoming the go-to, for curious but budget conscious simmers (and others) for whom the price of the Quest 3 is a bit steep...... https://www.uploadvr.com/quest-3-lite-quest-3s-rumor-roundup/ Also......

Hi, Presently I have a Reverb G2 on an old computer running Win10 and P3D5. I'm really happy with the headset. When at cruise on a flight lasting several hours, I will go off for long enough to have a meal, leaving the headset to go to sleep, returning to proceed with the flight. This facility is really important to me and the G2 has done over 700 flights to date. Now I'm planning to buy a new computer, and it will come with Win11, impending death for the G2. Bearing in mind the above "sleep" facility, I'd be really grateful for advice about using a Quest 3, and also what extras will be necessary to link it to the PC, extend the battery life etc. Regard…

Hello all! I've just installed my new system and set up MSFS and must admit: I'm pretty disappointed. The new system consists of the following components: - Ryzen 7800x3d - Gigabyte RTX 4090 - 32GB DDR 5 RAM @ 6.000MHZ - ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-A GAMING WIFI - M.2 SSDs only - VARJO AERO HEADSET - NO OpenXR toolkit installed In order to test the system I've maxed out literally all settings to ULTRA. TLOD & OLOD both at 150. FSLTL: active IFR aircraft set to 30, parked aircraft set to 100 PMDG 737 Although this is quite a potent system, the SIM is still stuttering... Especially in Heathrow when taxiing…

Quest 3 is working as advertised in MSFS2020. Question is: Is there an app or procedure to create a cutout to see one's keyboard at bottom of view?

I bought the Flysimware C414 for MSFS. I got this from the MSFS store, not direct from them. It looks fantastic using the Quest3 VR headset. But, very frustratingly, if I use either Quest controller to grip the yoke it slams either full left or full right. No control at all. If I push or pull the yoke, in VR it only moves in and out a few millimeters. Everything else seems to work fine. But without the yoke, it's unusable. I fly just using the controllers. No mouse or keyboard. All other, stock, MSFS aircraft I've tried work fine and don't have this issue. I've spent hours flying the stock C172S no problem. Anyone else seen this behaviour? I've spent the last hour sitting…
