Hi, I just purchased FY for P3D4, but when I tried to run it, it tries to manage something in the camera.cfg that CP already changed, so I've got an error, I deleted the camera cfg so now FY is wrking but not ChasePlane (I want it for the view and the bumps) When CP is working, FY doesn't let run P3D V4 and says that I've the VC view that is missing, d when FY is working, when I launch FY, CP says that I have some corupted files (on the camera.Cfg) Here is the error message Regards

Hi all, i am one of many who experience this crash after selecting a flight and loading the scenario in FlyInside. FlyInside Fatal Error Encountered (-2005270523, 0) Rendering\D3D11\D3D11Context.cpp: Line 117 Did it happen to any of you and how did you eventually fix it? I tried: 1) Removing prepared.cfg and let the app generate a new one, allowing flysinde do its changes in the config file at startup. 2) Removing the shader cache (i have PTA and read about possible issues with FI) 3) Setting in Chaseplane to not auto-start with P3D and start p3d without it. Running Nvidia driver 385.69 in Windows 10. GPU is a GTX 1080TI …

So, here in the VR forum we've had many singing the praises of Vr's sense of "presence" while others find thats sense of presence isn't enough to overcome other issues including resolution. Yet others believe that VR can never replace a good simpit, with its tactile "presence" of actually touching the controls, etc. This rejects leap motion, and other forms of "VR hands" because the lack of actual physical objects to solidify the sense of reality. It occurs to me that sufficiently advanced AR, (augmented reality) coming on the scene from some of the latest headsets, notably from Microsoft and partners, might be a way to bridge this gap, and it gives me some inte…

Fove: https://www.getfove.com/. It has slightly better screen resolution than the Rift and Vive but its biggest advantage is that, as well as head tracking, it also uses eye tracking via a series of tiny cameras around the eye pieces so it only needs high resolution where you're actually looking. SteamVR drivers coming soon, apparently.

Hello, I currently have an i5 6600K (that I can't overclock because when I purchased my MOBO, I took a MSI H170 Gaming M3, and with this one, no OC, so I'm stuck with 3,50 ghz, and I think that it's not enought for the VR because sometimes it's realy hard for me on P3D or XP11 to get the 30 FPS ad have something confortable if I want good graphisme So, I though about buying an i7 7700k (with 4,2 ghz stock), is it worth the upgrade? Will the perf be really better with this CPU?? Regards

I just downloaded the program and have it up and running. I followed the tutorial and made a flight plan and when I went to file it I got error message saying I was not connected to XPlane. I also downloaded the XPUIPC program and changed the IP address to my computer. I look my plugins and the program was listed. I know it is probably something simple that i missed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. John

And it has earphones and mike built in I would like to know what you guys use for voice control (which seems to be a natural for Rift VR)? I am looking at Voice Attack and MCE and if anyone is using one of these for their Rift please comment.

So, after a rocky initial start, i've come to actually like Project Cars, but only after learning a few things about it, to tame the savage beast, so to speak. The first thing I hated about the game was the car handling: It seems stiff and twitchy, and for a long while I was very unhappy with the entire "Feel" of the game. Now I find that this is not an uncommon sentiment, and apparently the game was optimized for use with a steering wheel, and NOT AT ALL for a joypad type controller! This means that when it was released for PS4, it got horrible reviews by people who found it nearly uncontrollable, and unfortunately those issues were apparently never corrected. …

Xplane in VR with the Flyinside demo just looks bad compared to the great image I get with P3Dv4 native VR. I have tried almost every setting I can find but the landscape has artifacts and other problems and is not a pretty sight. Is there something I am missing or needs to be done to make X11 look better in VR?

I understand the draw while inside the cockpit, but after takeoff, much of my time is spent in 3rd person view admiring the plane, clouds and scenery. Is VR any good in this situation?

Hi, Not everyone here is following FlyInside forum, so I just wanted to share here an extensive update from developer: http://forum.flyinside-fsx.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5559&start=100#p24766 The most exciting news for me is that they are getting significant fps increase (45-50fps FlyInside vs 30fps in native Prepar3D-VR) on the same settings. https://www.blog.google/products/google-vr/get-closer-look-street-view-google-earth-vr/ Google announced today that it's adding Street View to the Google Earth VR experience. With a new update, users can check out Street View images from 85 countries provided by the Street View team as well as pictures shared by others from around the world. To get there, while in Earth VR, zoom down closer to the street level and see if your controller says there's Street View imagery available. If so, you can then view the area within a 360 degree photo. In a blog post today, Google suggested a couple of places to check out -- San Francisco's AT&T Park and the region of Cr…

Hello, I've got my Oculus this week-end, I didn't have the time to use it a lot but for the little amount of time that I had, I tried Aerofly FS2 on it (that I just purchased for the VR) and I love it, but since it's the begining for me in VR, I'd like to know what are (for you?) the best experience that we can have in VR, just to give me an idea I own P3D V4, XP 11 (without Flyinside, the native support is supposed to be release soon so I'm hesitating to buy it for the moment), and Aerofly FS2 For the moment I just have the time to do some flights in Socal with Aerofly FS2, during the sunrise and I was blown up when I saw the sun rising just above the hill…

So today we revisit the Pimax 4K Headset and see if it might be worth it. How it is holding up, & what software support is like after it being out there for so many months.

So, is it hot air? Can they pull it off? Could it become a simming must-have? The headset is certainly not a looker: in fact, to me it's actively ugly, but I suppose it's what's inside that counts....... This might be interesting; and could certainly light a fire under of some of the competition..... https://www.roadtovr.com/pimax-8k-vr-headset-coming-kickstarter-later-month/

Looking at the instrument panel, throttles, yoke, etc. They all are aligned left/right but vertically they do not focus. There is almost two of everything, one view below and another above it. Therefore there are almost two GPS, two yokes, etc, .(about a 4" vertical overlap) Can someone help me get this fixed? Everything was okay a week ago but now this has started. Regards NealH

Hey everybody, I guess you all notice the smallest Details in VR and same goes for the small (or big) imperfections...here i will talk about the spining clouds in VR. Do any of you have a way to reduce the effect? maybe PTA can help if i recall? It can be really annoying, and it seems at least for me to be more pronounced with ASCA cloud textures, where it seemed that the Default p3dv4 were better optimized in that aspect... Cheers, JP

Just wanted to tell... well, anyone, because my wife is going to get annoyed really fast what with me going on and on and on... I know I'm speaking to the already converted here, but it's safe to say you have a new member among your ranks. I took advantage of the 'Summer of Rift' sale and, after swearing for so long that I'd never be interested, ordered myself the Oculus Rift + Touch bundle. Took delivery of it yesterday, spent a bit of the evening setting it up and then a few hours playing with it. My mind has been blown. This thing is absolutely brilliant. I spent a loooooong time in the starter demo with the robot in the trailer, simply launching toy roc…
