hi does the p3d resolution have to match the oculus resolution or does it not matter as the oculus automatically set its own resolution I am asking as my p3d resolution is higher when using p3d in 2d but was wondering if there would be a performance hit if it did not match.

Its a long time since I bought a video game! 🤣 Anyway many years ago I did enjoy games like Ghost Recon Advanced War fighter and before that Medal of Honor. It's pretty much exclusively been Flight Sim and racing Sims for many years. Since I got the Odyssey+ and just a week or so ago a 1080ti 😎 I was perusing Steam and it turned out to be Chinese New Year! I ended up paying CAD$45.99 for SkyrimVR. Now honestly, I think the graphics look a little hokey. I really don't think that video game graphics have come a long way since Ghost Recon. Anyway, once I figured out how to get the most out of the graphic with my 1080ti and setup the controllers to my liking and a play a…

I don't get a lot of me time these days. But when I smell it coming I am inchin' to get my Samsung Odyssey+ out to continue on the VR adventure. Today I had about 3 hours and since I hadn't tried either Project cars of Dirt Rally with my newly acquired 1080ti, that's what I did with that time. I found the performance sweet spot with both games quite easily. I switched the headset refresh rate from 90hz to 60hz for both and found very acceptable setting maintaining 60fps. I have to say I don't know what all the fuss about Ray Tracing is. I would much prefer if Nvidia concentrated on giving us the best possible anti-aliasing. Shimmering and jagged edges are by far…

Hello Forum, when flying the D8H in VR I have the issue that it shows me two layers of screens in the "MJC84 Virtual cockpit"- view (see screenshot) which destroys the whole immersion. Now in the past I was always able to switch to the "Virtual cockpit" view and this problem was gone. But since a half year now, for some reasons when I choose "Virtual cockpit" it automatically switches to "MJC84 Virtual cockpit" view. Also I have this two layers only on ground and it disapears when flying. Furtermore I have the same issue in the PMDG 737 and Aerosoft Airbus but with these I just switch over to "Virtual cockpit"- view with no issue. I already asked for help a…

Oculus Home now incorporates Steam games automatically onto its games list, but sometimes it can't find the correct Icons, and inserts a placeholder or something too small; Found on the Oculus forum, This is a tool that searches for Steam Icons based on the name of the app, or the steam id of the title, which can be found by right clicking the Steam game launch icon, or from the Steam database via searching for the game by name. Since obscure titles like flightsims and their correct icons are rarely found, this allows you to add them yourself to have a more orderly library: Here is the link to the original Oculus Forum thread: https://forums.oculusvr.com/communi…

I have had my Samsung Odyssey+ for 2 months. I have figured most of the issues. I have now very statisfied with running it at 60hz with renderTargetScale=2 and motionReprojectionMode=auto. Very smooth. Taxi at airports is amazing. I have got for last issues. 1) No cabins sounds from the headset, like flaps movements. If I want cabin sounds I need to turn sound off from the Odyssey and use regular earbuds from the 3.5 jack. 2) P3d minimised as soon as the face sensor is blocked. I must you the mouse to unminimize. 3) Lost of mouse/Win+Y doesn't work. I must always go out of VR, restart steamVR,re -nable VR for the mouse to work again. …

I went to check out requirements for the Rift today at the oculus website and it says Windows 10, 3 USB 3.0 ports and 1 USB 2.0 port. I can get an expansion card for the USB ports but I was really hoping to use Win 7 64. Does the Rift work with Win 7 and are there any other VR headsets that do? I'm looking for the least expensive/best for the money way to get into VR for steam games mostly but also XP11.

They have had delays bringing this idea to fruition, so it isn't out yet, but it's certainly an intriguing prospect! https://www.tomshardware.com/news/roto-vr-delayed-safety-concerns,36776.html https://www.rotovr.com/store

It appears that I totally misunderstood the GO description provided by OCULUS. "Standalone" (only if you have a proper phone to set it up) was okay. I got it setup. then say that a PC wasn't needed. Why didn't they just say (PC not recommended?" I finally got it setup by using my Galaxy tablet because the phone kept stopping at the last steps. THEN the next FOUR Hours trying to get P3D to work with it. It would do just about everything on my PC except P3D. My mouth was watering when viewing its VR movies/games but I want P3D and that is all. At this point I feel that OCULUS was a bit misleading in their promotion. Do I keep it or send it back? or is …

Looking at getting in to VR on P3D, possibly with a Pimax5k+ but I'm finding it difficult to determine whether this will even be an option even after upgrading to an RTX2080ti. There's a lot of info on the Pimax 5k+ and 8k but not a lot that links this with P3D, at least not a lot of info that I can find. Obviously it's early days but would anyone have a sense of the likelihood of this combo? I primarily use FS Labs A320 so it's going to use a bit of headroom in any case. I appreciate any help, cheers.

Hi all! Do you have any Logitech panels? What do you think of them? Here is a quick review of the Logitech Radio Panel/Stack! I’ve only set this up this week, and I’m pleased so far. Have a look and see what you think. The usual review should be ready before the end of the week. I’m open to suggestions, any ideas? Thanks GripperSim.
