happend on all of my flights. after vacating the runway i turn the autobrakes from disarmed to off and that results in a deceleration down to a few knots GS. is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

First off, it's great to have an updated version of your 747!! Love this aircraft! I just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed small S-turns during cruise (FL410), sort of like in the old days when using Active Sky, if I recall it was mostly prominent in the MD-11 and you had to turn a setting off in Active Sky... I'm running Active Sky 2016. -Carl

Just curious, given that in the tutorial on pg 88 it notes that: "#4 (pump) in AUX powers the brakes and body gear steering while the engines are off."

Searched the forum but nothing so..... Checked the log file and found this: Creating systems: 01 02 03 Can't access WAV file: 0 (Sound\PMDG/744V3/Various/PMDG_744V3_NoseGearTD3.wav) Nothing serious the Queen works perfect anyway, just wanted to report it.

Hi, Does anyone have any reference information on pitch and power settings for the 747 for circuit work? I've been hunting through the pmdg documentation for the info to assist with my 'base training' but without luck. I'm a big fan of the IXEG 737 and that came with a huge amount of material on pitch and power settings which was a big help. Thanks! Mark

I can hover the mouse pointer over switches & live controls In the cockpits of most of the aircraft I fly in P3Dv3.4 & have some text pop up that ID's the switch & its state. Eg: "Nav Lt On". These Tips seem to be absent from the 747-400 cockpit. Do they exist but have to be switched on, or have they been dispensed with? I get the curled hand ok, but not the text, which was handy for learning controls & switches. TT45

Hi I switched to RTE 2 during flight and noticed that on the APPOACH REF page the airport dident update. Its still the destination from RTE 1. I have selected a approach for RTE 2. If I go to NAV/RAD page, the ILS for the approach for RTE 2 is correct. As expected ?

Hello, Using Prepard3D V3.4. The aircraft shadows on the ground, when looking out the windows in VC, only show a small floating block, not the aircraft. Does anyone know how to fix this please? Thank you. Yori Smulders

Took my first flight kden to ksfo . Couple of issues which i could not sort . Went to apply autobrake rto and kept switching back to off. During taxi brake heat error appeared. Managed to take off with no autobrake. Set up autobrake max for lqnding this time would stay in position.After landing during taxi brake heat light came back on.tried to get to the gate then tyre pressure light came on. The plane would no longer move. Feel these are all connected . I use saitek rudders with toe brakes . Any ideas .

Hello, After months away, I've been tempted back by the QOTS II. I'm only just starting to play around with her, and so far - it's superb. Unfortunately, a lot of my time has been spent updating everything else to do with the P3D so I'm yet to take her for a proper spin. I was just wondering if there are any plans to make Tutorial 1 into a video? I'm not adverse to reading but it's so much easier following a video on the iPad. If there was, I'd wait for it, if not, I'll start my way through it this evening. Thanks! Mike Parker

Dear all, pmdg 744 is absolutely great product. Only a minor thing that makes it ony slightly different than reality is wings flex (too much uneven) and also the green/red lights are too much spread and aggresive. Is there any way or parameter which can adjust that ? many thanks for the tips ! JM

Hello! Is there any solution for the problem with the lights and the splashes, that don't iluminate the ground. When i start the flight with the queen, the lights iluminate the ground for a second. After that, it stops and ground is dark again. Any ideas? Best regards Mario Murhöfer

Hello. I need help with installing the pmdg 747 v3. I have bought and installed it from the pmdg website, i click on the: PMDG 747-400 QOTSII Base Package FSX (installer program in the winrar) It starts, then adminstrator allow thing pops up and i click yes. then it pops up with: Microsoft visual C++ Runtime Libary Runtime error Progam: ...s\Oscar\Desktop\PMDG 747-400 QOTSII Base Package FSX.exe Abnormal program termination Tried reinstall and extracting it to the desktop to no avail. Tried reinstalling the Frame network and the C++ updates and sp1. And this is all for f _ Oscar

Just wondering if anyone knowledgeable can answer a quickie... Using the alternate gear extension system, is there an order to which you do first - wing gear or nose/body gear? I've had a problem wear selecting nose/body gear alternate first is fine and they drop, but then selecting wing gear afterwards doesn't do anything (After doing the Gear disagree QRH, I landed without the wing gear - wasn't as bad as I thought....) In the reverse, select wing gear and then nose/body it all works fine, everything extends. It's repeatable in two flights so far.....I've had a good look at FCOM 2 and the QRH procedure but it doesn't specify. Adam Turley

Hello Guys, Bought the 747 yesterday and took it out a couple of spins. However, I noticed that the engine sounds were the only audible sounds- to mention a few, if I shut down the engines and started the APU, I could hear no spool-up or running sound for the APU. There were no sounds when I pressed buttons or flipped switches either. The generators' and packs' sounds that are audible when their associated switches are pressed can also not be heard. However, every function in the airplane is working fine, just that there are no sounds except those of the engines. Hello all, After selecting the 744 cold and dark state, and put the camera outside, and looking at the fan blades, they are spinning but in freeze mode. After starting the APU (and turning on APU gen's), the engines unfreeze, start to spin and stop about 1 minute later. Anyone has this issue ?

Hi there, I read over the FCOM 1 procedures and FCOM 2 engine pages but didn't found anything. Deep in the dark cornor of my brain I barely remember that the engines had different procedures to startup: the GE is started eng 3+4 at the same time and 1&2 at the same time. At least that's what the lufthansa's do. The PW was started 3-4-2-1 I think and the RR 1&4 and 2&3 at the same time. Now my questions: Is this correct? And the second question: why? What's the technical reason and approach why you start GE per wing and RR not? Why is the PW started one after one? Thanks, Stefan Edit: I love her!

Hi all, Firstly thank you PMDG on an amazing achievement. I use FSX still and the queen even in fsx looks stunning. I was playing round with the cargo ERF version the other night, I believe it is the Kalitta paint, the last 747-400 made. I noticed the nose and upper side cargo doors use electric motors to open and close, and not hydraulics...............Is that a peculiarity of this version or all cargo F versions. I ask as I recall the old 747F had to have the Aux pump on to work these doors. Also I noted that this cargo version has two Aux pumps, on system 1 and 4, yet the passenger version only has the one on system 4, and i wondered why the cargo version r…

Hello. Aircraft is fine, but when I request vehicles they are invisible, except of flashing lights. Only cargo loaders are visible. I have cargolux italia livery installed and thrre is problem, on default ones everything is fine.

Hi PMDG Team I have a CTD today in the 744F. This happened when I entered a new crz alt into the FMC after activating a new flight plan for an in air return. I.E was in a climb, changed destination back to departure airport, went to enter the new crz alt and it did a CTD upon clicking the LSK to insert the new alt. Any help on this?

For the first time when buying a product, I actually read and followed the manual. I wanted to make sure I was doing everything right. However, whenever I takeoff, once VNAV kicks in, I immediately get a "no land 3" message. I followed all the instructions (unless I missed something) in the manual and yet I still have this error. I've flown United, China Airlines, and El Al thus far. I flew China Airlines twice and actually, I didn't get the message once. But all other times I got it. The QRH explains what it is, but I haven't yet found any solutions yet. I do import my own flight plan from vroute. It doesn't actually affect the flight though, as I can just clear the mess…
