PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Minor problem I have is that I get a 'NAVDATA OUT OF DATE' message... The cycle in the FMC ident page is still showing as the Sep' 13 one (which was shipped with the 777). The files in the SIDSTARs folder show the current feb//march data... I'm a little confused, there seems to be something out of whack somewhere. Anyone else had this? Cheers Adam

As i only fly on Custom airport sceneries, with an average of 2000m of runway lenght. Can the 744D land on a 2000m runway ?? Miscellaneous questions. Is there a ezca 2.0 profile view yet? Hi all, Two quick items: 1) Autocruise problem question. When I activate autocruise via the chronometer on the captain's side, the time compression starts, accelerates to 16x sim speed, but then FSX:SE automatically stops, goes black and reloads like if I were first loading into the sim. It comes back on right where I left off but at 1x sim speed. For the record, the chronometer numbers stay green as if the compression were still active but it's definitely at 1x. If I go through FSX internally and change speed to 16x it will stay....I would just love to be able to use the autocruise feature. Any recommendations or similar encounters with this issue? 2) FPS…

First of all I would like to thank you gentlemen for a great bird and the hard work a huge step up from his ancestor :-) Install wend fine and the flight was already determined, the same as my oldest son his flight this week (comparing data :-)) done in the real world KL661 AMS > IAH. We took of from FT EHAM with 40+ FPS (locked 40.8 fps) and VAS above 1.2gb during crossing the pond VAS stayed above the 1.35gb. Descent and approach (VAS still avove 1.3GB) wend fine into Houston and on time and fuel schedule :-) At the gate FSDT KIAH (D9) we had 1.1 GB VAS left to spare and FPS above 40+ Since my CBT and my oldest Son started flying this beauty in the real…

I must be missing something. Issue takes place when I manually enter the ZFW (using a PFPX FP)into the payload page. If I don't touch it, the ZFW will remain stagnant as expected. As soon I manually enter in a weight (in this case 479.1) the displayed ZFW will jump to 486+ (not what I entered) and continue to climb by itself. 5 minutes later it was at 495 and climbing. If I attempt to re enter the desired weight again, it ignores it and whatever weight it had climbed to will remain and continue to climb. I also noticed if I select any of the preload amounts such as empty or max load, it will do the same. This only took place in the -400 RR so far, I didn't have t…

OK, the tutorial says to select "Boeing 747-400 PMDG House (N744PW | 2017)" aircraft for the first flight. The only ones I see are: ...(N744RR...), ...(N744PM)..., and (N744GE)... . Of course then I have the ER, D, M, F, etc., but I'm assuming none of those are what you're looking for. So, I'm wondering if the wording changed a bit from when the tutorial was written to the actual release titles, OR (what I really suspect) the "PM" should read "PW" (not sure what "PM" would be other than Pratts on the "M" model)? Should I use the "PM" version for this flight? I do have "All Variants" checked. Thanks for the help.

Before I dig through the manual, could one of you knowledgeable Captain's tell me what section to look at in the manual to setup my 747 for departure from SLLP? High altitude (going out empty), but there is a cabin pressurization adjustment I need to make since El Alto is around 13.3K in altitude... Thanks.

Haven't had the chance to do a test flight yet, but doing some mucking around on the ground I noticed the fuel flow on the PW 400 model is stuck at 1.3 and the GE is 0.6. I haven't tested the RR yet. Anyone else seeing this?

OK, This is most likely silly, but has anyone else had an issue with the Queen bouncing on the ground when changing views? I am using GSX and it happened at Edwards AFB and KATL and EHAM. I haven't seen this in any other aircraft. Obviously not a deal killer, but strange. Scott

... or does the wing seem to flex downward too much when on the ground? I haven't used the aircraft yet.... just judging by the videos I have seen (and comparing them to real photos). Especially the outer part (after the outboard engines) of the wing.... on photos it looks like it's perfectly level with the horizon, and on the PMDG version it angles downwards. Hello All, Just purchased my 747 QoS 2 and please forgive me as I may be a bit dim here but where do I find the manuals (P3D)? Secondly, is there a tutorial? I have looked in my PMDG folder where previous manuals were but nothing for the new aircraft. I have opened up the operations centre and downloaded new liveries etc and all seems fine. Just setting up my cameras for EZDOK. If you could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Kind regards Andy Clowes

Will we be getting the FCTM with this amazing bird? No big deal if we aren't, but I want to make sure it isn't a bug like with the introduction manuals not being clickable from the ops center.

This problem occurs mostly at complex airports. Anytime I want to load the aircraft, let's say at Aerosoft EGLL, after reaching 100% and the VC shows, P3D stops responding. I've tried lowering the settings, deleting the CFG, and reinstalling the aircraft but this continues so happens at the complex airports and only with this aircraft. Loading the 747 at the default airport does not result in the sim not responding. Dane Quartel

The main deck cargo fire arm switch seems to be missing in my vc (744combi). Is there a setting somewhere to get this switch to show?

Hello. Thanks for this beautiful aircraft. I have changed the default transition altitude to 7000ft, but its still showing 18000ft/FL180 in CLB and FORECAST pages on the FMC.

PMDG_747_TRC_Lesson1_Files.zip file is corrupt. Downloaded it within another zip file for the first lesson from https://www.precisionmanuals.com/pages/downloads/docs.html All ther rest of the lesson files 2-4 downloaded and extracted fine... But this one gave me an error..... I tried re-downloading it with the same result. Could someone check and possibly correct the file.. Hello, first thanks a LOT for an amazing 747, VAS management, overall performance and and and. I have a pretty nice system, i7 6700k, GTX 970, DDR4 Ram and so on, my P3D settings are already lowered for the airliners due to the 32bit stuff but with the slow movement animation of the Gear and Flaps levers my Sim lags extremely. When I drop or rise the gear using my yoke button and looking forward it's ok, but as soon as I look at the gear lever and click on it for the off postition I get stutters of around 1-2 seconds and fear a CTD everytime. exactly the same with the flaps lever. looking forward --> everything fine. looking at the lever --> lags. What a great bird! You guys at PMDG have knocked the ball out of the park again. The airplane flies smoothly for me at good frame rates even into the tutorial KSFO (where I have the Flight Beam Airport add-on). Very easy to hand fly which corresponds to what I've been told by RW 747 drivers. All in all many thanks for a great simulation experience. Only issue which is really a non issue is that something curious occurred when I went back to a saved enroute flight in the 777. I was flying a 777 flight when I decided to download the 747 so I saved that flight and did the download with no issues. Flew the new bird for a while then I wanted to finish the 777 flight, so I …

I find from the Captains seat the displays are looking pretty bad (jagged lines, etc), If I zoom in very close then they are very clear and sharp. I know this is not a PMDG issue but one of how P3D is rendering the view and I assumed all of us have this problem but when Iook at videos online, they displays seem very clear even from far away. Any suggestions on what I should do there. Please note that I am using NVidia Inspector and have P3D with no FXAA and MSAA matching Nvidia SGSS at 4X. I think this is the best I can do with my hardware but expected better results. (As an aside, same issue on all aircraft including my recent purchase of the FSL A320). My screen …

Hello, anybody knows how the Flight Deck Fan is used correctly on the freighter? Didn´t find real instructions about it in the FCOM. Is it for GND use only to ventilate the flight deck with packs switched off while loading cargo? Or should it be switched on the whole flight like the Recirc Fans on the passenger versions? first was not accepting my key, the one I have paid 135 dollars for, was directed to a link by someone in my prior post , I followed what was posted and deleted flexnet as that person did now I reinstalled the 747 now I get two error flags 1.- cannot get productversion data data-string not found I click ok then 2.-Initialization of license library failed I click ok then scenery terrain files load then plane cockpit comes up completely dead no screens on and cant click any controls or turn on anything. Hello, did a short test flight and realized that the animation for the flaps doesn't work. (Flaps do not extend although the fairings do...) Did I miss something? Otherwise a great product. Graphics, performance, simulation level. Keep on producing such fine birds. Regards Chas
