PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Hello everyone ,I'm currently having a strange problem with the brakes during take off and landing. They somehow tend to overheat even though I'm not using the toe brakes on my pedals. I am using the CH Product Pedals and already read the issues with the toe brakes and tried to calibrate them with all possibilities I had, somehow it still wont work. I tried out the PMDG 777 and other Aircrafts and it seems to work all fine with those ,just with the new 747 ,it appears like the brakes are really sensitive or somehow. I cant find the reason or solution for this problem ,if someone could help me please?

After problems with P3D (probably caused by too many upgrades), I did an uninstall and fresh full install of the latest version and the Queen. So when loading up the Queen 2 things were different. The good: no VAS leak!, the confounding: putting the cursor over any of the popup windows does not pop them up, instead-it turns them on and off. Even the click spot for the radios no longer works. Went through the intro manual again and found nothing on this. Anybody got an idea? Thanks.

I'm writing a little out-of-process fuel manager/controller and have two questions... I can match-up all the EVT_OH_FUL_* events #defines from SDK\PMDG_747QOTSII_SDK.h with their corresponding switches on the overhead, except for these two.... #define EVT_OH_FUEL_PUMP_AUX_L (THIRD_PARTY_EVENT_ID_MIN + 108) #define EVT_OH_FUEL_PUMP_AUX_R (THIRD_PARTY_EVENT_ID_MIN + 109) Am I missing a couple of AUX Pump switches somewhere in the flightdeck? Hello, with respect to the BA 747s, I have noticed that the modelled 'radio altimeter' callout is not consistent with what I have seen in flight deck videos. The sim uses a standard 'Boeing' callout (male voice) however BA uses a callout with the same voice as modelled for '50 above' and 'decide'. A minor detail, admittedly. Hello! I activated my 747 before I made a clean installation of WIndows 10. After the installation of Windows, the 747 stopped working. The activation dialog does not come up, so I guess it has something to do with the activation. Thank you and best regards. Marcel

Really enjoying the 747 gents - it is without a doubt the best thing PMDG have done. Anyone mentioned the gorgeous contrails yet..... Question though - Does the 747 have an ANP/RNP capability? There doesn't seem to be a calculation/indication of ANP - Actual Navigational Performance, so I'm guessing the 747 isn't certified for RNP / GPS approaches. Is this a limitation of just our sim rendered version or does the 747 lack this ability in the RW too. I know that many airlines have only just (last couple years) been certified for GPS approaches, including the one I fly for, so I take it the 747 hasn't been updated yet. I just happened to look in my debug_log.txt file and saw that I had this error. Creating systems: 01 02 03 Can't access WAV file: 0 (Sound\PMDG/744V3/Various/PMDG_744V3_NoseGearTD3.wav) And after checking the various folder the TD3 file is indeed missing. Is it something on my side or did it get left out?

Hello, Some time ago, a Member, I forgot his name, devised a method - HotKeySelect=2 in order to undock the lower overhead panel. I wondered if the same Member or anyone else has done likewise with the Central console of the Queen. Would be a big help. Much Obliged.

This is what my 747 looks like after selecting it in Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition. Any idea how I can fix it?

I have tried to assign an axis to the speedbrake lever in the P3D control settings, but the lever behaves very erratically. It is going up and back down when I move the axis (Saitek throttle quadrant) from one end to the other, and it is impossible to fully move it to the down version. I also tried to disable the axis and use the keyboard command "/" to move the lever, but even then I cannot fully move it to the down position. Only if I scroll the middle mouse wheel for a couple of seconds it finally moves into the correct position, and only with the axis disabled. I thought it was be a good idea to start a post where we can list features or easter eggs we have found in the 747! I was talking to a friend of mine who had no idea that you can middle-click on any of the landing light switches to move them all at the same time... that has been around since the 777 and he still had no idea! Approach at YSSY 34L (flyTampa YSSY scenery) Getting Service at Gate 61

Hi. 1st off, you guys are phenomenal. I just bought the B744 today and it is a masterpiece. The problem I'm having is despite the switches, dials and buttons working, the little green and white lights on them do not illuminate after the buttons are activated. For example, the CMD, V/S, Heading Hold buttons among others have no light on them. To add to that, all of the models seem to have strange yellow and white text that randomly appear on the actual overhead panel buttons themselves. Is there a way to fix this?

Greetings, not a big thing, but I notice the vehicle towing the A/C unit in the BOAC skin does not tow the A/C unit. It stays put until the little truck stops , jumps in position, then no hoses are connected. Then the ground connections in the CDU will report arriving but never does change. Does this affect the aircraft functions at all ? The other aircraft work fine, well the quantas does at least. Thank You, Wayne L Pierce

So, first flt today in the Queen. By the way she looks fabulous on a 4k 55in TV (powered by a 980Ti). The sound and shaking features really make her shine coupled with the feeling of just knowing everything is just working like it's supposed to. First flt was SLC-HNL. Wx at HNL dictated the RNAV 26L arrival, very infrequently used. Hand flew using a PFC 737 Yoke and rudder pedals. She is just marvelous to hand fly. Running in P3D ver. 3.3.5. Zero issues encountered. Can only hope some of the sound and shaking features make it to the 777. Well done, really superb stuff.

I haven't seen this anywhere, and I tried a forum search, but nothing came up, so here goes. In case anybody has the same issue that I had, the setup I have in my truck is a laptop that is hooked up to my TV via HDMI cable (I don't do this when I'm at home). Whether a desktop hooked up to a TV the same way would have the same issue is beyond me as I have no experience with this, but in any event, when you start the simulator, load the PMDG 747-400, and start the flight, the only sounds I would hear are the engines. No flap lever, packs, APU, or anything else. I have determined that if you run FSX in full-screen mode and you hit fly now, the TV will go blank briefly as it …

Quite the details you guys put into this. Good job to the PMDG crew. As an FS9 user with the original Boeing 747-400, I have to say the handling is a bit different and something that's going to take time to get used to. Other than that, the systems were relatively straightforward to figure out. The new custom settings, on the other hand, were something I had no experience with before, so took a bit of time to get figured out, but I think I've got the hang of it now. Paint kit also took a bit of time to figure out and get everything lined up with this livery. Without further ado, some departure shots.

Hello First off all, thank you for this great bird! Unfortunately, I have a strange mistake during Cruise. I was on the road from PANC-KSAN, and was not on the computer for about 2 hours. When I returned, the pilot response message was active and sounding, but everything seems normal. When I quit the message, the simulator stopped for about 20sec. No button could be pressed and the visibility in the VC could not be swung, but the Sound went on and also the "freezed" mouse cursor. So, after this 20 sec it runs normal again for about 5sec, then it stopped again for about 20sec, then it comes again to life for 5sec. So it went on and on until I strangled the FSX. Dur…

Hello, I am struggling to identify this door and why it is open. Can anyone help me and is it possible to close such door. I have even no idea how could I have possibly opened it. I only know it's not one of the Main Landing gear doors because they are behind that door (inside the red square on my picture). Also I know that far that someone from maintenance has failed to do his work Currently on my EICAS GEAR page I see all landing gear doors closed and on my Doors page I see no doors open. Also checking my FMC FS ACTIONS no doors are open. So I guess it has nothing to with those doors. Any help is appreciated to make me understand what's happening there

Hello all and congrats to PMDG for my favorite aircraft..... 747 Doing the Tutorial for the first time and.... well, I am an engineer and always need to know the why's when i get a different result than the expected... Per tutorial on the 747 QOSII, set fuel to 75.0 and gross zfw 520. Per tutorial, trim recommendation should be as follows..: "Set the stabilizer trim to the takeoff value seen at LSK 4R from a few steps earlier (4.5 units up in this case)" The thing is, I am getting 6.2 for trim.... hello to all i don t like complain but here twice flight and twice problem during arrival this morning, arrival at eham from west, pass over spl for an arrival R36C, just before spl plane turn right and follow a south path, not programmed path into the fmc, i had to correct the heading via hdg mode until i was align with LOC arrival this afternoon, another flight and another arrival problem at moscou, i had programm the arrival into the fmc, the plane follow it until it lost the path, need to correct by hdg mode, and finish on manual mode for landing So the Vnav mode seems to have a problem with approach in my case, i don't have any problem with 737 or 777 ju…
