I am trying to tune 118.75 in standby comm 1, but it keeps just reading "DATA" when I get close to tuning the frequency. What am I missing?

This is an odd one. Have been trying to solve this for about 3 hours. No matter which B747 variant I attempt to load, when I disconnect all ground services/vehicles and set the wheel chocks to "REMOVED", a "CHCKS INHBT message appears under all the service vehicle lines in the CDU. I read Kyle's response to another user that mentioned if you load P3D with a PMDG 747 as default or switch between variants in a session, this can happen... but that isn't the case here. Hi folks, (haven't found this in the forum yet...) the pushback "FMS" page provides the option TURN TAIL LEFT or RIGHT. Not sure on how to understand a given choice, e.g. RIGHT, but doing so today at EHAM gate E22, the aircraft's nose pointed towards the terminals, not away to RWYs 09/27 and 18L/36R. Is it meant as request towards the truck driver? Or the pilots 'right' or 'left'? Obviously the latter, but I misunderstood it.

Hello where can i get the airline liveries from thanks

From the captain's position, I cannot turn off this one landing light because it conflicts with the panel flood knob. Every time I try to click it off, I turn the knob. Thus, I have to fly with that one light in the "on" position. Unfortunately, we all don't use EZ-DOK. :smile:

Hey guys, As you can see, the knobs on the WX control panel are not being properly illuminated. This was using the flood light but using the dome or storm, you get a similar effect.

I found these two values in the aircrafts.ini file of my livery, but I couldn't find any documentation on them: DragCorrection=0.00 FFCorrection=0.00 I assume they are used to adjust the FMC predictions, but can anyone tell me whether they also alter the actual drag and fuel consumption of the aircraft in the simulator or just the FMC predictions? This would be really cool if we could simulate older aircraft using up more fuel with this option!

Hi, I watch few videos off 747 during landing and i noticed something, when they touch the ground the speedbrakes go to the up position in the cockpit. But when i land they only go to the flight detent position. I don't know why, i armed them obviously, so i don't know if it's a bug or me doing something wrong if someone can help me to clarify this thanks !

Hello! The new 747 is working perfectly well but there is one major problem. My Cargo Doors won't open. I've set the Wheel Chocks and the Parking Brake as well as put the loader nearby the doors. The passenger door is working with no issues. What can I do?

Hi! Just started up British Airways G-CIVI for a test flight. This might be a very stupid question, but I cant find the Taxi light switch. It is not among the other external light switches. Looked for it around the cockpit but can not seem to find it. Where have the chaps hidden it? /Mikael Hildingsson

For those that haven't tried it out yet, you can get fiery-orange wheel wells on the 747 by racing down the runway a few times and performing maximum stops. I managed to eventually get to "10" on the wheels on the lower MFD, and then noticed the air pressure on some tires was headed for zero- yep the heat plugs blew letting the air out - very nice detail that I've never seen modeled in in a PC Flight Simulator. Also, when all the main gear tires are blown, you can barely move the aircraft. Nicely Done! Next I'm going to run them up to a 10 again, take off, and retract them to see if it triggers a wheel well fire. Yeah sometimes I roll that way. Mark Trainer

Just programmed a flight from KMIA to KORD. When I went to the arr/dept page to input my runways, Miami had all sids and runways available but Chicago had no stars or runways listed. I used Simbrief for my flight plan so I'm not sure if was simbrief or PMDG 747 that caused this. Can anyone tell me if Chicago's runways appear on their setup.

Hello Gents, today I took my LH 747 Pax on a Flight from Munich to Los Angeles. If I remember correct, there should be at least 2 additional temp controllers for the heating of the forward and aft. cargo section. In the PMDG model there ist only I single aft heat switch which allows to keep the temps in the bays slightly above 0 degress. There is also no option to get these switches via the FMC menues. Hello, I have put in a few flights on the 747 now, and I have never got the winds uplink to work. I've seen this thread on the issue but it does not solve my issue. I'll describe everything that I do to get the data to upload. I create the flight plan in PFPX and export it. I then load the flight plan into the 747 by using the request route feature. After I load up the route, I get the message saying "WIND UPLINK READY". I make sure that the weather file is located in the P3D/PMDG/WX folder. I also make sure that the flight plan is loaded into ASN. Then, I finish off all of the performance issues and then go to the VNAV DES Forecast page and on the bottom left I see …

Hi guys, thanks for viewing this issue and thanks for any help given! I installed the 747 yesterday and managed a flight with an OOM but I think that's unrelated to this issue. Anyway today I try to load her up and she just won't. The sim (P3D) seems to seize up after the 16 second countdown and stops at either 0 or 1. the fps locks at somewhere between 1 and 8. I can't pan around, click anything - nothing whatsoever. I can exit the sim via the red cross in the top right, but that's all. Also, if I do attempt to quit and then say 'no' the sim seems to run for a split second then freeze again. I've tried the repair function of the installer as well as a compl…

When I'm programming the FMC, I keep getting an 'Insufficient Fuel'-message. I have my flightplan's fuel calculations in KG and I checked the Setup>Aircraft>Displays-page and the Weight Units are set to KGS(this setting is bright), so the units of mesurement should match. Any idea what the problem might be and how I can fix this?

I was just wondering why there are three shift sequences (shift-2, -3, and -4) that bring up the computer? Is there a way to change assignments so that one of these, say shift-3, would bring up the overhead panel as a popup? Maybe I have missed something in the instructions? Thanks.

Hello guys, just for those of you who have problems closing doors, I could not close the nose- and sidedoor on the freighter. Only 1 GPU connected, the other one on AVAIL: doors stayed open. Same for the APU gens: 1 on and 1 AVAIL; no result. So I looked at the outside, admired the vehicles (what a nice idea that was: these vehicles, even the toilet gets emptied: that was necessary after all these years of simming without one :smile: :smile: ) I removed the vehicles, and the doors closed!
