Hi guys. Normally the ground effect has mainly 2 effects: * huge amount of lift created, therefore killing some vertical speed. I'm not used to heavy aircraft, been flying mainly the a320 and 737cl, it looks like this effect takes place around 200 feets agl (for the b747) until touch down. * negative torque. As the aircraft comes closer to the ground, a negative torque is applied on the aircraft, well, after 6-7 landing I haven't been able to feel that pitch decreasing, it only decreases when I retard the throttle between 30-40 fts agl. Had P3D for a few months and has been fine until recently. Getting the "program has stop responding" error message and closes. Hello, I raised this point already few days ago, but in the beggining the forum focus was more on other more urgent issues or fixes. So trying again now. For me the product is excellent and only issue for me to call it absolutely unique and perfect is animation of moving parts (moving parts of engine, flaps, wingflex). There are too few animation steps so it looks rather uneven or interrupted. My question is how difficult it would be to make it more smooth (more animation steps). Would it mean to programme more steps in the code or is it a question of some parameter within the code ? (some other models have animation of these parts very nice and smooth). …

to the DEV team, I was wondering if in the future it could be possible to link the PTT button to a key assignement, in order to use the VC PTT buttons (PTT, R/T) linked with softwares like Teamspeak. It would only require a "reverse" key assignment logic for those particular buttons. I think it would be a very cool feature to enhance simming for those flying on IVAO/VATSIM. Regards

Hi Guys, Wow! What a bird!!!!! Well done PMDG! Guys, I just have one problem with it currently.... please see my images below.... Any idea what could be creating these? I have tried everything.... on my most recent flight i took off and tried to engage the autopilot system, however when i pressed CMD A the light would just light up for a couple seconds, and then the A/P DC alarm would ring, but i was able to use CMD C and CMD A, is there a cause that CMD A would Work? This also frequently happens on my NGX, where only one autopilot would work...

Hi, I can not find the autothrottle disengage command in the "Controls" Menu of P3D (i do find the "arm autothrottle" and the "engage autothrottle") In the past i was able to disengage the autothrottle on final with one press of a button (on my yoke) in QOTS V2. Flight Cathay Pacific 382 LSZH (FSDT) to VHHX (FlyTampa) Kai Tak arrival 06.50 am: FSX, AS16+ASCA, DX10 Fixer + Cloudshader, MCE, and,,, the magnificent PMDG Queen, "heavy" sceneries (Hong Kong at night in all its superb glory, probably the best FS scenery ever created as of today), heavy ASCA clouds on arrival, and the Queen landed smoothly and safely on the runway center line... no struggle with slow FPS given the huge amount of graphic load, and no OOM!!! Hi, I am trying to load a flight from VCBI (Colombo, Sri Lanka) to OMDB (Dubai, UAE) flying a United Airlines livery with Pratt & Whittney engines. After entering all the data into the CDU I can not get the FMC to calculate the V-speeds (no error message: V-speeds not available). I than used a Lufthansa livery with GE engines, loaded the same panelstate, performed the same CDU input steps and the FMC calculated the V speeds. On both aircraft the options are set to default and the option "FMC calculates V Speeds = YES". I don't know what else to check Thanks for help

Hey everyone. Strange thing going on with the Queen. When I start switching around with my views in EZDOK all of a sudden my mouse pointer stops switching to the little click hand and I can't click on anything in the virtual cockpit. Its just the mouse pointer, thats it. Any ideas? I'm thinking EZDOK has something to do with this. Any help would be really appreciated. This thing was 100 bucks! Thank

Hi support team. I've purchased your 747 but I have a lot of problem with FPS. I've changed grafic card for upgrade my sim (P3D) but your bird is still unflyable. the VC is moving very slowly and the things doesen't change in the external view. I use other planes like aerosoft airbus without problem so why your bird is heavy like that?

Hello everyone First of all, sorry if my English is not good enough, I hope you can understand me. A pre-purchase question: Does this new version of the B-747 incorporate a service based failures system like the one that comes with the NGX or the B-777? Or is it limited to a random system? If it has service based failures, do it have the multiplier that comes with the B-777 in order to "speed up" failures? This last system seems magnificent, because with the B-737 you can literally fly months without suffering any kind of failure, beyond a door sensor or a duct overheat ... Thank you very much to all. I suppose it is a P3D limitation maybe, but is there a way to make a shorter pushback / tighter turn? I many times end up in the grass or breaking into a terminal building because the distance or the turning radius is so big. The shortest option in the FS actions Menu is 76 Meters.. thanks Marinus Gerst

I purchased the 744 on release day and had no issues. I just completed a new build last night and finally began installing all of my P3D stuff today. I installed the 744, however i was never asked to register it, so when the aircraft loads i have blank screens. any ideas what could cause this? I am on Windows 10, and i ran the installer as the administrator. I doubt this is the issue, but i did reuse the GPU and my SSD that only had P3D related stuff, never the OS. I did have the 744 installed on that SSD in the last PC. But i deleted all the files before i put it in this computer.

Hi - I would like to thank all those involved at PMDG in the development of the 747 400 ii. The codes, as best as I can understand them, controlling flight dynamics and the available options are incredible. A great sim. I am not sure if it is related to the 747 itself or there is something else contributing to the gear lowering itself in flight - in cruise (not every flight?). I've searched the customer support forum and a general search but not found anything that may help. Anyone with any ideas as to this problem and how I can solve it would be much appreciated. Hi All I installed the UPS livery using the downloader. At about 11000' all my panels go black, like somebody flipped a switch. Auto-Pilot My friend and myself now have the Queen of the sky, but we are both having trouble with the auto-pilot turning off in flight. This happen most of the time on a turn in the flight plan, also on landing. It sometimes turns off , for no reason that I can see. I have reloaded this download again and it still is doing the same thing, any help on this. Thank you Wayne Bignell

Something I'm not doing right here. On startup from a Cold and Dark or Long Turn, I can start the APU with no problems - simply click to "START" and release and away it goes. However, after the flight I can't seem to get it started, so there's something I'm missing. I do the same procedure (usually after I'm on the ground again) where I click the APU switch to START, but no go. I will sometimes hold it in the START position for a minute or so, but it's still not going. Obviously the engines are still running so the fuel pumps are on (at least some), so that shouldn't be the issue. I've checked in the FCOMM Manual and Section 7 lists the amplified procedures for Engine/APU…

The 3 lines on the upper eicas about pressurization. Duct pressure, cabin altitude, landing altitude, these messages appear when you open the secondary engine page on the lower eicas. But the top 3 lines do not go away and stay on the upper eicas after a turn-around and flying your second leg. I am in cruise and cannot get the duct pressure, cabin alt, ldg alt lines off the upper eicas. - David Lee
