PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

Good Evening everyone , So first of all, Congratulations for PMDG on 747 Queen of the Skies II , and I'am very excited to release my paints for it as soon as possible , but for now I was wondering , why doesn't the paint kit includes a Cockpit registration file or Thumbnail psd file ? as i used to get them from the 777 and 737 paint kit's , Thanks in advanced

I am using fsx steam. I cannot de-select VHF-R on the 3rd radio stack the one on the lower left of the radio panel. The light above the button to active/deactivate flashes off then right back on. - David Lee

So I am coming into Prestwick this evening in the 400 F, and, as someone used to smaller planes, I am too fast in the descent, so I pull the spoiler handle, and looking onto position indicator, I see left side deployed, right side not deployed. I switch to external view, and both sides are deployed. I tried cycling them, tried using mouse instead of keyboard to deploy them, same situation. Screenshot included.

Taxiing around Prestwick today in 15-20 knot winds, I heard the callout during ground turns 4 or 5 times. Does it sound every time when airspeed indicator moves above certain value regardless of anything else? If my FO did it every time during taxiing in real life, I would probably smack him over the head with the FCOM

On a short hop currently flying the British Airways RR version. The captain's ND does not display the following when toggled even when undocked: VOR does not toggle on or off APP, VOR, PLN not displaying when rotating the knob, displays only the MAP CTR does not toggle compass rose on or off Change in range, currently stays on 10 NM TFC does not show on ND when button is pressed. WXR, STA, WPT, ARPT, DATA, POS, TERR do not show on ND when buttons are pressed. Also, the CTR button does not move when pressed, it appears everything on the FO's side is working as it should. As the title says, in the freighter, emergency light don't seam to illuminate the cockpit. I can see the bright circle on the ceiling, but the cockpit stays dark.

Hi there! I have this problem where my PMDG 747 V3 won't gain speed and climb. I've got LNAV and VNAV, low fuel and low payload with no luck. When my autopilot puts me at level flight to try and gain speed my nose is pointing at 8 degrees down... http://imgur.com/a/4NakR

I noticed I couldn't fire up AES's support, tried some things until stopping to hear a persistent engine noise. Moved throttles separately and ...alas... engine 1 spools up when throttle 1 is accelerated. Tried to reset cold and dark by FMC, tried cycling the fuel CUTOFF switch, to no avail. Foremost, I would like to congratulate PMDG on the release of the 747 QOTSII - it is an absolute delight to fly! The hard work gone into the development of this aircraft is very much appreciated. A small thing I have noticed is regarding the cockpit lighting. Whenever I switch on the 'DOME' light, it only illuminates part of the cockpit. Hi Am intrigued to know why Boeing designed the freighter nose and side doors to require one power source to be available but not used whilst the other power source is connected? Is it for safety reasons? Thinking of safety am also wondering if in the real world there is any sort of protection to stop the nose door being closed accidentally? I have tried an Internet search but couldn't find the answer. If anyone knows I would be grateful.

Hello! First of all, I have to say that the 747 v3 is a very nice addon! I like it so much! But I have a problem. I can´t open the cargo doors in the maindeck (side cargo and nose door). In every plane. (F, ERF, BCF, M). The other doors working right! I hope you can help me. Best regards, Robin Plate

PMDG could you please explain this ....... It's been discussed before on the forum with more than one user having a problem with the L&T lights: it seems the AI-Object that is modelled for the landings lights has a problem on certain PCs. The first picture in EFB shows the PMDG 744 after push back with AI-object still parked and second picture you can even see the AI-object's NAV lights on the ground. Third picture you can see the splash lights on the side of the B744 but the landing lights are visible in the parking where aircraft was parked. I don't see that L&T lights are listed in the 'Issue Tracking Thread' and would just like to know if the issue/pro…

Hello, The intro manual refers to 2 additional clickspots on the MCP on the MINS knob and the BARO knob. Unfortunately my tooltips aren't working and flash too quickly for me to see what they say. I've figured out the baro setting knob can also be used to set the transponder mode. What does the MINS knob do? I can hear it clicking but don't know what it's changing. Thanks!

Hopefully a simple question. For those of us who only have a 2 engine throttle quadrant, how are you mapping? 1&2 and 3&4 or 1&3 and 2&4? Thanks Kevin

Minor issue. The left side of the Cathay Cargo 747F B-HUO livery seems to be missing some paint...the right side looks all right. I have a jpg picture showing the area but cannot figure out how to post it.

Has any one else had an issue with the GPU and ground air not disconnecting? Of my nine flights it has only happened twice, in both cases I click the button beside release for both and nothing happens. In the other 7 flights it works fine so I'm not sure if I'm doing something different or what...anyone else? Dave Reage

This happens randomly at altitude and sometimes on runway at FSDT KDFW airport wt FTX Global. I have HIMEMFIX enabled, running FSX with I7 processor with GTX 980 video card. My FPS are 23-30, locked at 30fps. The did read comment where disabling preload can cause skeleton effect but tried both ways still getting random skeleton effect on aircraft all liveries. Anyone observe this and maybe its normal when changing views with this aircraft because of texture loading, I get same with PMDG 777.

Hello All, I have a quick operational question regarding the 744 and flaps setting when arriving at a high altitude airport. I just performed Atlas 29 from KMIA to SEQM. Since SEQM is at roughly 7800' ASL, is it better to use flaps 30 to minimize ground speed, or flaps 25 for improved go-around performance? As it was, I was fairly light so I don't think performance would have been an issue either way. What if instead of 30 metric tons of cargo, I had, say 100 or more tons?

Hello all At every flight, I turn TCAS TA/RA as usual before takeoff then seconds after takeoff it gets turned off .......Then I switched on again then It gets turned off ......Finally, I turned on and stays on for the rest of the flight ........Please advise me of what I am doing wrong ...... So first off, love the aircraft to bits already, so fun to fly I've just started working on the livery for my VA, but I can't seem to find a blank file for the branded binders we see in the cockpit? I've found the file in existing liveries, but I don't quite have the skill to be able to blank out the existing branding without making it look bad. Is there any chance of getting a blank version for the paint-kit, or maybe someone already has one? Cheers
