As the Queen (she's gorgeous btw) is now coming with its on cam shake/rumbling effects,which are looking impressive indeed, what is the official recommendation for using it with camera tools like chaseplane? Can we just disable all turbulence effects in chaseplane and will still be able to switch chaseplane cams while enjoying the 747 camera effects or do you advise to disable chaseplane entirely when flying the 747? And am I assuming correctly that those PMDG effects only apply to VC view? Thanks Lars

Hi, that's a very impressing model of the Queen. As you sit in the cockpit (virtually of course) it is the feeling of smoothenes in flying as you will have as passenger in this beast. Very great work. Now 2 questions: 1) Is there some information available about fuel management best practice. What I mean is e.g. when to close or oben X-fer valves and which one (inner, outer) , when use the override pumps and so on. I tried to get through the FCOM and QRH. There is a lot of descriptions in the case of imbalance and so on but I've not been able to get out some kind of standard practice. KBOS > EGLL, BAW212 about 300nm to go, maintenance based failures on x50. And wham - my first abnormal already! EICAS says: Bleed 3. Pulse rises. Following the QRH, Engine bleed switch to off. Message persists, NAI switch #3 to on. Message clears (presumably having NAI on relieves the high engine bleed pressure). Feeling pretty good, and like I earned my pay on this leg. Then 10 minutes later: wham. EICAS now says: Bleed 1. Dang if this thing ain't the millennium falcon. Follow the QRH and clear the abnormal in exactly the same way. Had my first flight with the 744 v3 today. Had no problems, went from KMCO to EGKK. Flew with no problems landed great, not having to make many adjustment after diconnection the autopilot and autothrottle. And judging how was making it's final, it would have made a good autoland. But I rarely do autolands. The last PMDG 744 I had was when I had FS9. Great plane.

It turns out activating the PMDG_Interface.dll file was what caused the issue. ive been exploring the fmc and was looking through the ground ops menu when I noticed i could have the pmdg ground services fuel the aircraft in a short/long/custom turn. cool! adds to the realism, but i couldnt find a way to do the same thing with the passengers and cargo. putting the zfw in to the fmc causes instant weight add or subtract from the model. just curious if a feature could be added to slowly add or subtract the zfw during the turn? I love this plane! thx

Am enjoying the new QOS II in P3D, as I knew I would - being a long-time user of the NGX and 777. I also recently purchased the FSL A320, which introduced an FSUIPC command that I was unfamiliar with called "steering set", assigned as a standard P3D axis, and which is used to emulate the nose wheel steering tiller. I have a CH Products 6-lever throttle quadrant, and also a Saitek 3-lever quadrant. I have long used one of the Saitek levers for spoiler control. When I purchased the FSL Bus, I assigned one of the other Saitek levers in FSUIPC to "steering set", and indeed it worked very nicely. Hi to all!,really want to say congrats to all PMDG team for such a great plane!. On my first test flight i found three little issues i want crosscheck with other pilots. 1.-I can't reset both (Radio and Baro) minimuns previously setted pressing the RST button on the efis control panel,like the 737 or 777(it does ok in both planes) 2.-Reviewing on the L FMC the STARS in flight for arrival,when passing pages too see all arrivals for any runway for example (2/5 page) the FMC goes up automatically to page (1/5)showing again the begining of the arrivals page. 3.-The MAP or CHART light at the bottom of the copilot right side window flickers when setted to maximun intensity,…

I got my wrist slapped by Kyle yesterday (still stings). And he was very right to do it. The answer, my friends, was in the Introduction manual. Actually, if the question you have is related to something the airplane "is telling you", like a message in the CDU, the EICAS and such, or if you are pressing a button and it is not doing what you think it should, then there is an almost 100% chance that the answer to the issue and the resulting questions, will be found in the Introduction or Tutorial manuals. Running latest P3D version and Windows 10 and computer is fairly loaded. I'm posting this here in case anyone else has experienced this. Let me start by saying that I've got the latest update for the OPS center installed. So when I start the 747-at any airport-the initialization countdown begins as normal until it gets to zero. It stays on zero for 25 seconds before disappearing. When it does, the simulation stutters badly. Scroll up to the overhead panel? Nope. I stutter my way up there. Any entry into a cdu or mcp or anything is on time delay. I have the PMDG 777 installed. Loaded into the same airport with same everything, no problem: the countdown …

Yep! I don't know what it is either! hahaha and it ain't in the QNH! I noticed an odd noise like a wobbly wheel as the nose touched down into Denpasar Indonesia tonight, didn't think much of it and it taxied fine. However I had another failure which was a high pressure bleed valve failed in the closed position - not sure if related?

A big thank you to PMDG and the wonderful work they do for home based flight simulation. This new 744 package has been placed at the top of my favorite plane to fly list. With a short haul version in the package, there is truly something for everyone who flies modern jet airliners. This is not to say that the 737 and 777 are not going to be flown anymore, because they are excellent as well. Looking forward the future and new 64bit platforms that will unleash even greater features for PMDG to include in their already amazing aircraft simulations.

I'm having doubts about spending 75 UK Pounds when I'm not sure my graphics card on FSX-SE is man enough. I have a Geforce GTX 550Ti with 1GB of VRAM running with an i7 3770k clocked at 4.4GHz and 8GB of DDR3 RAM. The rig has been running fine for almost 3 years and I get a reasonable performance when in the 737NGX or in the 777. In detailed airports (UK2000) such as Heathrow fps in low twenties, mid to high 30s elsewhere. It always looks quite smooth and fluid to my 73 year old eyes! I'd welcome any comments on how Queen II might run for me. Thanks. Iain Smith

Hi there After installing I used ezdok to move around the Aircraft. What a beauty But I noticed, that the sounds do not change with the movement. The APU sounds exactly the same when I stand in fromt of the aircraft als when I stand behind it. Is that normal? I think I saw some videos on youtube where she ambient sound changed whith respect to the position of the view. Any advice? Thank you !

Hello, I was hand flying the airplane around Chicago today practicing circuits and when it was time for the airplane to capture the LOC/GS for rwy 28C, It never did and it flew right through it. The FMC autotuned it with the correct frequency and course. However, the displayed identifier and and corresponding LOC/GS indicators on the PFD were totally off. APP mode stayed armed the entire time but never captured. ( which makes perfect sense for this situation.) I am fairly positive that this isn't an issue with eh 747 but an issue with FSDT KORD scenery not actually having a 28C runway (it was originally 28L I guess when the scenery was made.) Hi, There is an issue with autobrake switch. I've changed it to the main panel from the pedestal, but I can select the autobrake position from the pedestal, even with the switch in the main panel, because there is a click spot remaining in the pedestal, like an invisible switch. Hi Guys Decided to do a 3-engine ferry flight after reading about them online. With number two failed and shutdown, have to say, she flies beautifully on 3, the only difference is on takeoff I brought 1 and 4 up to TOGA first, and then slowly brought 3 up to TOGA as we passed about 80kt where the rudder could keep us on the centerline. Once airborne, apart from a bit of rudder trim, the handling was just like a normal flight really. Now I could not find any hard numbers or procedure in the FCOM so just did what I had read online. Is it possible to get a feature where the changes in fuel pump configuration happen automatically? I'm currently doing a long haul and let it fly while I sleep. I know the fuel low Centre message is going to come eventually. Will it harm the aircraft if they stay on all night? I think in real life they would overheat.. Anyways congrats on this amazing bird!
