Hi guys, im not qualified to call this a bug or anything like that but i feel their was a bit of a problem descending into Dubai. I was flying the 400F Cargolux livery from EGSS to OMDB. Everything went brilliantly the whole flight until this point, ive not seen this behaviour following this STAR before. STAR DESD1C for 30R, basically what happened was i was descending nicely and as planned, waypoint ULASO calls for you to be at 6000 or above, which the aircraft did, but on passing that, it descended down to 3000 quickly, which is what i set in the MCP ready to pick up the glide slope prior to T/D. Hi, I just have some questions regarding dirty displays in the 747. I bought the queen yesterday and I have already tried 5-6 variants with different liveries. For some reason, all the aircraft I have tried have been very "clean" inside, without any fingermarks on the ND and PFD. Is there an option to turn on "dirty" displays or is it built into the specific model and livery? I even tried an old 1990 model, but it was in pristine condition. Am I missing something, or was it just random that I chose the "clean" aircraft. Thanks everyone.

I think it would be pretty cool for a future update, if PMDG included progressive boarding and baggage loading in Ground Ops much like they do with fuel. That way, the temperature changes in the cabin due to passengers and everything would be much more subtle as opposed to either loading them all up when you first load or loading them all up during the final cockpit preparation. That way also, the pilot can proactively change the cabin temperature(if using the APU) as the temperature starts to change. Regards, Rob

Hello, I may be wrong in stating this and I am subject to correction. I am in the process of digesting the Tutorial flight whereby Ryan points out that the aircraft for initial loading purposes etc., should be the PMDG 747.400 N744PW. On searching through the aircraft drop down list I found the RR GE but what should be the PW is actually listed as PM and in the cockpit the aircraft number listed under theFMC is N744PM. Would this error (assuming I am right) be important enough to cause corruption somewhere. I don't think I have seen a Post covering this issue. Regards.

Hello. On page 0.00.34 of the introduction manual for P3D, under the "Known P3D'isms TO AVOID" section, there is advice to NOT load a default cessna or F35 prior to loading the PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II as the default flight loads in the background. This section of the manual says: However, I also read on this support forum that DisablePreload can save on VAS. So, would the DisablePreload setting conflict with this? I know this subject is mentioned in the "known issues" thread here, so I am asking here. Thanks.

Was walking around the cockpit during cruise..looking at the details in the VC and I found two holes that allowed me to look outside. 1st screenshot was taken on the right side of the cockpit, just behind the FO seat and beside the circuit breakers. 2nd screenshot was taken on opposite side, just behind the Capt seat. Well it isn't gamebreaking (yet, gotta prepare those oxygen masks!) ... just thought I'd highlight it here :smile:

Hello, Is the animation of HDG TRUE/NORM button correct? For me it seems like the switch moves out from its mount while moving the switch. Could be that it's simulating the lifting of the switch or something but still think it's a bit lousy animation. Hello ! I tried to make a repaint for the Queen of the Skies II, the old Corsairfly livery : But as you can see, the windows are not transparent. To make it, I use Adobe Photoshop, with the official paintkit. After painting, I flat the image, and cut the three parts. I do a quick export and mirror vertical effect. After, I use DTXBmp and export the textures in DTX5 format. Sorry if the english is not good, I m french and it's a very specific vocabulary. Recently after an update that I did on the operations center, my 747-400 has become quite laggy and once initialization reaches 0 it compelely freezes. Any thoughts? My current graphics driver from Nvidia is 376.33. Cheers!

good morning from germany thank you PMDG for this great aircraft. absolutly amazing aircraft. and all the diffrent versions like the bcf and the 400m......that´s a great work. and the big problem.....the VAS.....i don´t know how but.......with the 747 this is not a problem. great work,too. but a little issue for me, is the problem with all the lights, that i can´t see on the ground like the taxlights, the landinglights or the navlights and strobes. with this, a big point of atmosphere is lost. i dont´t have a shadermods installed. again a big thanks and a big kompliment for this epic aircraft. with best regards Mario Murhöfer

I wanted to take just a moment (amongst ALL the wonderful and inquisitive questions everyone is posting while trying to learn as quick as they can about the NEW 747 QOTS v3 Boeing aircraft) to say a VERY heart-felt... ! ! ! THANK YOU ! ! ! I am sure I will have plenty of questions, as many do now, but before I read ALL the accompanying documentation that comes with this 747 aircraft, I wanted to say how easy the install went. 1. Was flying the tutorial flight, and noticed that when I switched to plan view while flying, the TRK value went strange - I'm not sure what the correct intention is - if to show a compass rose at all, if to show the compass rose with current TRK, or to show the compass rose at due north. However, it's clearly showing 347, when I think it should be showing 247. No other addons were active at the time other than chaseplane.

Hello @ll, on P3D 3.4: I have a center console that has separate controls for all 4 thrust levers and all 4 reversers. As usual I have assigned the 8 axis through FSUIPC to the corresponding controls in P3D. - when I am pulling the 4 reversers, the whole 747 model starts pirouetting madly on the spot, blowing all tires in the process. - when using the "classic" option by just pressing and holding F2 this does not happen. My setup usually works, for example I don't have any problems with the NGX or the 777. Did anyone come across this too - did I miss something in the documentation?

Hy Together, i`m on P3D with HF3 installed. Yesterday i made a flight from EGLL to LOWW with the queen and the cockpit was looking amazing ( Finger prints on the screens ....) and everything was clear and sharp. Today i wanted to make a flight from EDDM to EGLL and now the queen looks totaly different i dont see the fingerprints on the screens and the cockpit textures look blurry ?! I didnt change any setting from the last flight yesterday to the flight now ? Did i something wrong? usualy i load the flight with the F16 and then switch to the queen ? brgds

Is there a way to switch off the GPWS? I conducted a very short test flight this afternoon, and the ground proximity warnings were going off when I was on the glideslope at the correct descent angle.

Weill, My first flight, which I use for every new aircraft I get, is from KEDW to KLAX. I did manage to land before the memory crash, but just barely. I only have this issue at KLAX with the PMDG 777 and now the 744V3. I do wish someone he would listen to would tell Umberto there is something wrong with KLAX. I have tried, but it is NEVER an FSDT issue. Sigh........... Scott

After a fairly uneventful flight from Oakland to Atlanta in P3D, we reached the T/D @ FL423. I had already reset the altitude, autobrake set to 2, checked the landing data flaps 30/142 and gone thru the before descent checklists....... And in disbelief I watch as she reached T/D and kept going in level flight. No engines back to idle, no descending, nothing. Having untold hours in PMDG aircraft, this was mind boggling and I don't understand why she missed it. I heard of someone else in another VA in smartCARS chat had the same issue. Is there a bug that somehow made it through in testing or did I miss something?

Hello all: I have noticed that the FMC programming of the PERF INIT page for the 400F, appears to be different than that for the passenger versions I am familiar with (747v3, 777, 737). First, the page opens up with the ZFW quantity already shown in LSK3, not with the empty squares. Second, in LSK1,the title is GR WT ADV and the quantity is shown with a left arrow, for example <264.2 in small numbers If LSK1 is not pressed, the VNAV programming will not occur and speeds and altitudes will not be available. When LSK1 is pressed, the weight quantity numbers change to large numbers, followed by the same quanjtity in small numbers. I include two photos…

Hello, The lights do not seem to work for the digits on MCP in 2D pop-up. I am currently en-route China Airlines B747-400 downloaded from PMDG OC. I almost never use the pop-up. Just got bored on this long flight and trying to figure new stuff in this magnificent Queen. I have read the introduction manual and searched for "2D" and found nothing saying about the lights or textures of the 2D pop-up First picture is no dome Second picture is half dome (the digits is still white with no light under it) Cheers! I have a MCP 737EL from CPflight which works perfecltly on the PMDG B737 NGX. If I want to use it on the B747 QOTS only the FD and the AT switches work. All the other selectors don't work. I did a hardware-check and it was working perfect. Is there a driver missing? What do I have to do to make it working?
