I've had the 747 since release day but I have a strange problem I can't solve. The problem is something is causing the 747 to run awful 2 - 3 days after it's installed. The first few days I get a constant 30FPS. Then on day 3 or 4 I will boot my PC, load P3Dv3, ( I always load the default cub then change to the 747 etc.. ) and I will only get 5 fps. It only happens with the 747. The 737 and 777 run normally. First I used a system image to restore my PC back to a point a few weeks before the 747 was released. But again 2-3 days after I install the 747 it runs awful. Then I did a clean install of Win10 and then clean installed P3Dv3, Ezdok v2, Orbx, FSUIPC, Rex S…

Hello Is there any known issues with flight level change and thrust/N1 ? Or is it error between keyboard and chair ? N1 does not go to the max. In this case N1 is stopping at 77%.

Hi folks, is there a way to put the right Navigation Display on the lower central display? Using the Captains's switch to put the ND on the lower CRT, it puts the Captain's ND on the lower CRT. Using the First Officers switch to put the ND on the lower CRT, it also puts the Captain's ND on the lower CRT. Is this the only way it works? As a side question: I've never been on a -400 with LCDs but to they keep the naming convention with "CRT" on the glareshield and main panel?

Hello All, I'll try to explain this as best as I can. I wasn't able to grab a screen shot since I was busy trying to get back on path and it slipped my mind. Anyway, here's what happened. I was descending on the DYAMD3 STAR into KSFO. There are several speed constraints on this STAR so I was in VNAV and selected speed mode. While descending, just before FLOWZ, I had 14000 in the ALT window and 280 in the speed. VNAV leveled off a bit early so I went to V/S -1500. I was about 1000' low on the VNAV path throughout the descent while in selected speed mode. Once I was given a lower altitude (8000') I dialed it in and engaged VNAV. Situation: Flying manually with A/T disengaged (A/T ARM off), FDs on in HDG SEL/ALT, SPD window open to appropriate bug speed. Setting up for an RNAV approach. I want to get VNAV PTH guidance on the approach, so I select VNAV on the MCP. Immediately A/T goes into SPD, window blanks, and target speed increases to DES. The first time I noticed this I was flying level at bug speed, when the A/T kicked in back to 240k it really upset the apple cart. Per FCOM 4.10.3, with the A/T Switch OFF, A/T activation is disabled. Is this something the real bird does?

I've posted about this a couple times but PMDG has not responded. Straight up, is PMDG going to integrate GSX's pushback function into QOTSII? The violent shaking during pushback is driving me crazy but it's apparently something that can be resolved by working with GSX's developer. See this thread on their forum. Another developer's recently-released A320 integrates GSX's pushback function quite nicely and I've had zero issues with it. I'm hoping that PMDG can take the time to do the same. Now that there is no panel switcher option in the new 747, I am finding accessing the overhead unwieldy. My options are:: 1) Use Spacebar and mouse look to view and zoom in (reasonable option but distorted angles) 2) Use Track IR (not having much joy setting the profile to work properly and my neck hurts trying to zoom into the far side of the panel and I can't get the sensitivity configured properly) 3) Right-click and choose Lower Overhead Panel (nice and steady view of the panel but have to right-click and choose Virtual Cockpit to return to normal view isn't very handy especially when you are taking off\landing) 4) EZDOK V2 (just crashes my FSX an…

Hi, I'm looking for an Electronic Flight Bag like aid which can be integrated e.g. like an iPAD or so into the virtual cockpit. I essentially need it at least as an aid for maneuvering on ground at big airports. Other functionalities of typical EFB's are nice to have but not mandatory. I purchased Aivlasoft EFB. But this is a little bit cumbersome if you have only one screen. As I know it is not integrateble in VC. I think 747-8 has it integrated in the lower EICAS like 777 ?? I was loading up my flightplan into the FMC and everything was working fine, then I executed etc. After that, I was not able to type anything into the FMC and I wasn't even able to click things trying to make it work. For example if I clicked on a route to move it then the FMC screen just blinked and came back on as if it's untouched. I don't know if it's a bug or if I'm doing something wrong, but I feel like it is a bug.

Hello, Just a small question. With the PMDG 777 there is an option called FBW Trim Ref Speed. This adds a marker to the PFD which makes it easier for me to trim the 777. Is there a similar option for the 747 available? Or any helper to set the trim? Or is it possible to set the trim during manual flight automatically? Thank you.

I'm having some recurring problems with GSE--stair trucks, in particular, being left behind as residual artifacts. If I call for a stair truck, it spawns initially behind and left of the acft, and then a clone of the truck separates from the original spawned truck and drives to the door of the acft. When the stairs elevate, the stairs on the cloned copy left behind mimic the truck at the door. Often, when releasing the vehicle, an artifact of the stair truck is also left behind at the door when the truck drives off. I've duplicated this problem with and without GSX active. I've tried selecting HIDE ALL in the PMDG options menu, and it has no effect on the art…

Just completed a 9.5 hour flight from Melbourne YMML to Honolulu PHNL in a Qantas 747-400 RR model. The default PFPX profile and flight plan was extremely accurate. PFPX calculation had a flying time of 09:29 and 102.3 ( KG ) of Fuel burn. My actual fight was 09.39 and 102.6 fuel burn

So, I noticed that the UN code on the fuel service truck is coded "1203" which is for Gasoline products suck as 100LL or Auto-Gas. I believe this texture needs to be upgraded to 1863 which is for Jet A Turbine Fuels. Not a big issue, but something I noticed.

Just interested in how others fly their long hauls. For me, its flying real routes real time with live weather mostly on IVAO. I try to depart when the actual real world one departs and plan my route accordingly to match the given as accurately as possible. Recently I've been flying the long haul Lufthansa 747 network. Once I had figured out some of the LH dispatching quirks, I now get about 90% of the real world route right. The new PMDG 747 is just perfect for the flying part of the job. Right now I'm enroute to Seoul as DLH712 from Frankfurt. 3 1/2 hours to go according to my FMC's PROG page and a beautiful sunrise is about to come.

Hi, Wondering if anyone can answer this for me. As I roll down the runway and take off I am having a brake temp warning light coming up.
