PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

I'm stucking at update to 3.00.8189 for 2 days, OC tell me it will take 187513787 hours(bad math, but I hope I can live so long), I already submit a ticket for this situation but seems the official option is not available so far. I also found I can download the file from amazon server with acceptable performance with my internet browser, but I need a update file list so I can download 65 (I am upgrade from the original version 8132 or some like this to 8189) files directly instead of using OC. Anyone can help will be highly appreciate. Do hope a stand along update or total package will be available. And most important my full name is: Legend …

Just got my 747 for 135 US$ Thank you PDMG for a good job bringing us the queen. Just read the PDMG 747 intro manual, sections 20-30 are really good they talk about VAS, p3d settings and performance. Working through the tutorial demo flight from KDEN 2 KSFO :) Thumbs up Sigurdur

I seem to have lost my 'Speedbird' callouts on ATC for the British Airways 747's in QOTSii. The airline callouts are there for all the other 747 liveries, and, as far as I can recall, they are included in all the other PMDG aircraft - 777 and MD11. Is this a query for FSX or can PMDG sort it? Thanks

I have found possible bug. Engine oil temperature jumped from 219 °C to 63 °C in a second during fuel cutoff. I think that could be a bug... 1) I activated "ENG 1 OIL TEMPERATURE" failure. 2) I got "ENG 1 OIL TEMP" warning on EICAS. Oil temp was 219 °C. 3) I moved fuel control to "CUTOFF" and in that moment oil temperature jumped from 219 °C to 63 °C in less then one second.

Dear all, before update pack the engine exhaust was visible as quite intensive during engine start-up and then more as hot air exhaust during taxiing - so I considered that as quite realistic. After the update I can see only very short effect (smoke) when engine starts and then nothing. Was that fix intentional ? is it OK ? many thanks ! JM

Hi Guys Anyone know how to convert .rt2 flight plan files to .rte format Since queen of the skies 1 .rt2 flight plans converted to queen of the skies 2 .rte all the old flight plans have become redundant. I have a converter for .pln to rt2. but none others. Any sugestions Regards Paul

Through searching the web I was able to find PMDG Event IDs for both the 737 NGX and the 777. What these event IDs do is enable you to assign functions within FSUIPC to control different aspects of the aircraft like for example the Autobrakes or Engine start rotary switches in the T7 and 737. If you are building a home cockpit and are building your own overhead panel, these event IDs will come in handy. I just downloaded and installed the 747-400 Queen of the Skies II for FSX and it says the activation code is not valid and it's not accepting it. I'm using the "Order Code" that was given on my receipt. It begins with FPV********** and 10 numbers. Is there an amount of time I need to wait, is this the wrong code to use, or is something not right? Thanks.

Gents, I am enjoying this amazing product, thanks so very much. However I am facing two issues post the 3.00.8189 update which I was not able to resolve on my own so far.and I was wondering if this is limited to my machine / setup or of other QOTS skippers see the same. A) The engine sound volume setting in the FMC (PMDG Setup/Options) does not seem to have any effect anymore. However all other sound / volume settings in the same FMC menu still work without a problem. Tried to delete / rebuild the 747QOTSII_Options.ini, but to no effect. I've been informed by the developer of RAAS that the locked version in the 747 is volume-locked as well. IOW, a sound setting in the PMDG controls the master volume for the RAAS. Does anyone know which volume setting this would be? I mean certain flight deck sounds are plenty loud (GPWS, alarms), yet the RAAS is barely audible to me. All my volumes are set to 100, except wind, ambient, engine, and master. Also, when doing certain "direct-to" entries, I get a bizarre track on the ND and need to jump into HDG mode. For years I've routinely saved my flights throughout the trip just in case FS/P3D crashed. PMDG products have always been the best in regards to this; the aircraft internals are usually loaded perfectly...every switch, knob and even FMS. Crashes are pretty rare for me nowadays, but I did just get an OOM error and shutdown after about 90% of KMCO-EHAM was finished. I had saved the flight a bit before hand (long before the OOM, the VAS was fine.), but it won't load properly. It went through the countdown, and as soon as it finished, the panel became "jumpy". does anyone know which lights this activates on the real aircraft? I see its not functional on the sim unfortunately despite the switch being animated but wondering why it couldnt be ? Im assuming there must be some lighting limitation that means that decision was made? Also ive noticed that even when the flight deck is completely cold without any form of power on, the storm and dome light still function. Is this accurate to real world and how would the flight deck access switch / function tie in with that? tks nick caldwell

Greetings, Just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this issue flying the 747 QOTSII? So after any 747 flights, prior to and after the latest patches, while shutting down FSX-SE, it crashes every time with that error. My 744 v3 cockpit displays are not as sharp and clear as I see on youtube videos. Thoughts? Cheers.

What am I doing wrong and the ground power and A/C is not arriving ? I am on chocks, engines are off, APU is on.

There's a tiny push switch on the overhead on the left side as you enter the cockpit. You can't see it, I guess as in real life, but you can mouse over in the general area till you see the pointer change. Same as fumbling for it if you K ow it's there. It says it's a light to get you going. For me, pushing doesn't do anything. Can someone help me please? Thanks.

Just done it in the Ops Center update. Let it run through till the screen cleared. Now when I run the plane, all the click-spots are gone. I'll submits a ticket with more details. Thank You for a quick resolution.

Hey guys, Thanks for adding the lower lob flow rate dial to the Freighter with this latest round of updates. Is there a Low-Hi selector for the Pax version as well? Is it in a different location? Beancounter airlines is getting their pants sued off because passenger's pets are freezing. Cheers TJ

Hi, I was playing around with the Queen after the first updates come out . Accidentally during preflight preparation, I pressed the AP DISC button (Ctrl-Shift-Z) and the EICAS AUTOPILOT DISC warning was activated even though I had just connected external power with all my engines off and, obviously, no AP nor FD turned on. Pressing it again deactivates it just like usual when in flight. I restarted the simulator and yet the same thing happened. I doubt very much that this is the intended behaviour... Hi How do I activate the PVD, Para Visual Display? Steps please. I did try by entering the ILS data in the Nav/Rad page but nothing, PVD in front of me is just black. Can not find anything in the FCOM, QRH or Intruduction!? TIA

After the latest update, the one that, amongs other this, fixed the lightning to the WX radar panel, the Main Deck System in Alert panel is still not being properly illuminated. http://i.imgur.com/p3zwrp5.jpg
