RXP GNS 530W/430W V2

How do you power up the GNS? I got to the menu to turn on the window but the GNS is powered off. Thanks for any help fly safe

Good day, I just bought reality XP GNS430 to X plane 11, I have been very seriously disappointed to learn that its database is over 10 years old (running off the garmin trainer), I have been more disappointed to later learn that in order to keep its database up to date, I'd need an actual Garmin subscription which costs a lot of money (ref: I spent hours trying to find an email on the website to no avail - it all referred me to this forum over and over again. I have purchased a RealSimGear G530 and also Reality XP software for my XPlane 11. I have paid for and downloaded the Reality XP software and also the Garmin GNS Trainer Lite. All the files appear to have been downloaded OK. But when I go to Plugins on XPlane the G530 is not showing. Any advice would be appreciated. The Reality XP User guide is useless.

Hey all, So, I've dug through several forums and could not find anything about this topic at all. I know we have a unique setup as stated by others... Basically I built this flight simulator setup for a really good friend of mine. (I know computers, not planes so much..) He is absolutely tech illiterate when it comes to this sort of stuff XD. So he is saying the radio (saitek) syncs with the OBS with no problems but when he switches to GPS to do RNAV approaches it wont sync with the OBS needle in air manager v3.7. Hello I am very new to x-plane11, flight simulation and RXP. I have x-plane (11.41) and RXP (latest version) for GNS530 installed and I noticed that the GNS530 does not display any DME information in the default C172 while the default x-plane GNS530 does show the DME distance. I have tried with both old Garmin database that comes with the RXP 530 and also with updated databases, no difference in DME at all. I have tried multiple VORs, same thing. X-plane does show the distance to VOR in the map view when I click on the VOR details. The VORs in question appear on the sectionals as DME capable. My GNS 430 and 530 both freeze and crash Xplane after clicking ok at the self-test screen. As seen in the photo the radio frequency panel opens on the left side and then the freeze occurs. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the 430 & 530 as well as the Garmin Trainer Lite. Re-run the Xplane installer. This happens on both 11.41 and 11.50b17 and also b13 which I was using before the upgrade to b17. I have removed all plugins from the plugin folder and still the same result. Hello all. I have my xplane 11 running on one big monitor for visuals and other 3 monitors to run airmanager and Gns430 with pop-up window. The problem is everytime i run xplane, it doesn't remember the last position of the GNS, so i have to make all process over and over again. Any advice to avoid that?. Thanks

I have to confess, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of support from both Realsimgear and Reality-XP. I am new to flight simming (well have been absent since the first release of Microsoft's first release of Flight Sim) and it appears much has changed in terms of both software and hardware. Hi, I have a RealSimGear G530 which is great and works OK with the generic XPlane 11 BE58 but I need more realism so I purchased the Reality XP software for XPlane and successfully downloaded it together with the Garmin GNS Trainer Lite. I have read the Reality XP User Manual but still cannot get the software to function. When I check the Plugins pull down the RSG 530 is there and connected but there is no mention of a Reality XP GNS. I have checked all the Windows security settings as instructed in the User Manual but still no luck. I have loaded an ILS approach onto the reality xp 530W/430W pair and the aircraft follows the Approach plate onto the designated IA and then onto the ILS approach course via gps nav turn. The SW switches from term to LNAV correctly. Then as the cross over point Arrives and msg pops to switch cdi off gps to vloc the aircraft does a 180 turn to fly away from airport and the loc when pushed. This is consistent turning away behavior with maybe 4 or 5 tries and re-checks of approach configurations loaded correctly. I have tried the front course and back course directions on the cdi as well as verified the nav loc ident is showing properly on the gns5…

I bought the GNS 530W without realizing that my 310 did not support it. I am trying to mod the panel to make it work, and as I typically fly P3D not Xplane... I'm not having any luck. I followed the tutorial but obviously didn't do something correct; the panel displayed is still the default Xplane 530. I could use some help!

I've just purchased the GNS530W for Xplane to compliment the GTN 650/750 I used in P3D. The plugin appears to have installed correctly; the pop up windows loads but my panel still shows the default Xplane 11 GNS530. I have tried both the Milviz C310 and JustFlight's Piper PA28T Arrow.

I have searched for days and tried everything I can think of or find online. It’s such a rats nest on these forums trying to find a definitive answer to a very simple question. I cannot import a Foreflight .fpl file into the RXP GNS 530 in X plane 11. Skyvector is no problem. Is this because the databases are different between FF and RXP Garmin and non-compatible? Is it possible to get a simple yes or no answer to this question. If yes, I will discontinue my efforts. thanks

Hi, I purchased the Reality XP GNS 530. Yes, it is loaded as a Plugin to X plane. Yes, I can pop it out and show it on a display where I am running Duet display. i overlay it onto an Air Manager panel that I made but it is not part of the panel. I know that somehow it needs to be imported into the panel. I have attempted to do an import but I don't know which file to import. Having searched the Reality XP directory, I don't see an obvious canditate. Thank You Tom

Hello all, I just purchased the 530W and 430W. Something I've noticed is that this dataref (sim/cockpit2/radios/indicators/gps_nav_id) gets strange value once you select a Master GNS device. Here is an example of the strange I refer to... Set one of the GNS devices to Master GNS "Direct to" set to "KYIP" sim/cockpit2/radios/indicators/gps_nav_id = +42-84 Normally, this dataref would be "KYIP". Hello -- I have a sim rig built with Leo Bodnar usb boards. I have a 530 hardware box built with one of these boards (with encoders and switches). I would like to know if Reality XP will work with this hardware as it does with the stock X Plane 172 (operates all functions of the 530) before purchasing RXP. Any input appreciated.

Hello together, im new here and bought the W530W plugin for Xplane 11 some hours ago. Its really good and working perfectly in a Baron 58. But i have one Question is it possible to switch on the device by Master AND Avionic switch? At the moment i can chose one of them. Master then the unit switch on just by the Bat switch. Or avinoic then the unit powers up just by the avionic switch without the bat. thanks

Hi, I just bought the RXP GNS 530 and 430 and am a bit perplexed how I can use it to replicate my real world flying experience. I am in Australia and we have VFR Waypoints in our ERSA which are populated in the Australia Garmin database and thus we can use these in the GNS 430 installed in our aircraft. However, these waypoints are not in the database that comes with the Garmin trainer. I don't have access to an actual datacard as these aircraft do not belong to me. In X-plane 11 I was using the stock GNS having exported the VFR waypoints pdf and converted the waypoint info into a user_fix.dat file in the x-plane 11 custom_data folder. However, …

I recently upgraded a test installation to X-Plane 11.50b3 and activated Vulkan. With 11.50b1 and b2, I was not able to get X-plane up and running. With b3, i get decent 75+ fps, but after pushing back the plugin and restart, I see some strange problems: 1. GNS430 appears in the simulator window and seems to work fine 2. Changing to popout window lets the startup screen form GNS430 flicker like hell. This does not change, if I move the GNS-window out of the X-plane windoww. I have a Radeon card from 2016 and latest drivers Any good or bad experiences with Vulkan?

Why not integrate with flight sim nav data systems, eg Navigraph? I'm torn between the default X-Plane versions of the Garmin systems and these. I suspect thousands of my flight sim colleagues are too. I expect you'll get many more sales if you add Navigraph integration. Thanks Paul

I have dual 430s in the Carenado Baron. I have crossfill enabled on both 430s. When I change the flightplan on the master 430 it auto crossfills over to the secondary 430. Is that how it is supposed to work? I have another plane that has a 530 master and a secondary 430. I have crossfill enabled on both those devices and the crossfill does not happen until I choose Crossfill from the Menu btn while on the flightplan page.
