I’m trying to get a RealityXP GNS WAAS (PRO) setup working again and I’m stuck on the license.

This is part of a BATD I bought second-hand, and it worked fine on the original computer. I moved everything over to a new machine and now the plugin loads but just says:

“Could not be authenticated”

Situation:

• I have a .lic file from the old system
• I do NOT have the actual .key (and original owner has passed away and no one knows where the .key is)
• I also don’t have the original account login (original owner has passed away)
• I do have a full backup of the old system

What I’ve already tried:

• copied all RealityXP folders over
• copied ProgramData + X-PLANE 9 folders
• confirmed Garmin trainer is installed
• X-Plane is licensed and HASP is working
• tried the license transfer tool, but it requires the .key file

Still getting the same authentication error.

Question:

Is there any way to recover or re-activate this license without the original .key or account?

Or am I basically stuck needing a new license at this point?

Just trying to get this working the right way — any help appreciated.

When I use the 2D product with a separate popout screen, it works very well. But when I started VR (I use Quest mixed reality) 2D panel disappeared and started as a VR window. I still want to use it as a 2D panel with my extra monitor for mixed reality. Is that possible?

1. The approach was perfectly available and working in Cycle 2502.
2. The IAF waypoint ARVAN is still present in the database and can be found via the WPT page.
3. Other nearby airports like LSZB (Bern) show their new procedures correctly (including the new RNP Z 32).
4. I have tried cleaning the Garmin Trainer cache (db.bin / idx files) and reinstalling the data, but the list for LSZG remains empty (except for the VOR 24).

Subscriptions: Navigraph (download the latest cycle: 2309)

I`ve bought the 2 HW devices from XPReality (GNS530 & GNS430) and installed it on my systems - Installation successfully done and it works. To check in the plugin Tab for updates: I`m up to date.
I also downloaded the last DB from Navigraph and installed it into the custom Data folder of X-Plane 12 - and with the standard GNS Devices the Nav Data Base is up to date as well, but:

the DB of the RXP devices is old and I don`t get an answer by searching the forums and also by reading the manual.
How can I get the DB of the RXP devices up to date as well.

Given the support for this support seems non-existent and after looking through a lot of threads, I was hoping to see if anyone knew how to fix my issue. When using X Plane 12 and the C172, the GNS 430 does not sync when I load a direct destination, departure, approach, etc. on the GNS 530. I've checked the settings and the GNS 530 is set as the master, and I've also tried reinstalling everything but no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've deleted and re-downloaded the software to no avail. 

A friend has asked me to help them update their nav data for their X-Plane 9 sim with Garmin 430/530

The documentation points to  https://ww1.jeppesen.com/documents/support/aviation/documentation/JSUM_Quick_Start_Guide.pdf  however, this page no longer exists.

Does anyone have any updated instructions? (I'd sure like to get this updated for them)

Example: I fly on the sim to a fix (DIRECT). I press the OBS button on GNS430 and a pop up window suggests the heading that will get me to the fix. Pressing Enter confirms that heading and establishes the magenta line. However, when I get to the fix and want to change that course to the Inbound, I have to go back to the OBS button (on 430) and manually dial that new course. In the real aircraft, I simply move the dial on the GPS-VOR unit and the magenta line moves along on 430. 

Equipment: X-Plane 12 with, Reality XP GNS430, AirManager instruments (GPS/VOR).

Basic settings from the RXP GNS 530 are master, connect GPS to AP, connect GPS to HSI, connect HSI/OBS, and connect CDI mode to NAV/GPS Switch.

I am also running with a RealSimGear GNS 530.

At one time, this all worked together nicely. Not sure when it stopped - I started practicing with my sim again a month or so again.

Reality-SP shows up in the Plug Ins but my display still only shows 3 pages in NAV

I'm unable to find any check list or tutorial on Reality-XP   to get it working.

xp12 im having an issue with the sim pausing periotically  ive also tried removing and replacing ,tried xp11 and the and different planes

the one i like the most is thranda c172m cuz i can chenge the panel around

its not thranda tried it with and without  if im in the wrong forum sorry   couldnt figure  out how to navogate here anyrate if anyone has come across this i would appriciate some help

How does one go about getting a key for this X-Plane 12 pop up?

Not impressed with how Reality-SP remove any tech support

I attempted to contact you through your contact support form. After filling everything out I get the message that your form submitting process has gone unserviceable.

During the install  process near the end it froze.
I have a key.
I tried to do a reinstall first using the key and when validating the PW (last 4 digits of my CCard your install program tells me the password is invalid.
I am then instructed to contact support. Which I attempt to do so - see first line of this post.

So, I try the other way and no joy getting it reinstalled that way.. Firewall and VPN are paused.

So, I have no idea how to proceed now. 
I await your response.

On this form under your box to be filled "timeframe" I have no idea what to do with that so i selected 1 month.
This product was purchased today.

I have just spent 2 hours on this.

Anyone have a copy of this file they can send me or know of an alternate download location?  I've tried sending a message to RXP through here, but I can't find any other way to contact support.

Most of you regular forum visitors mostly know what is new, but let me try to wrap it up in one place!

A little bit more information:

The GTN menu has completely changed now that we have the configuration panel GUI. We've also deactivated automatic updates and added a manual "Check Updates..." menu option instead.

The configuration panel GUI is a great addition to the product. With its modern interface it makes editing the INI file a thing of the past.

Import flight plan and Export flight plan is very handy especially when using external flight planning tools. This works with the native Garmin .fpl format.

The GNS installs a sample pack to get you started, along with a dedicated chapter in the user's manual.

Use stock X-Plane GPS buttons and knobs is a great step toward better panel integration and shines with the GNS V2.

Simply put: this feature alone is the killer app to integrating the GNS V2 to any XP11 and XP10 panels using the stock GPS 500 and GPS 400.

To put this in action, the user's manual now includes a complete tutorial to guide you through replacing the XP11 Baron 58 GPS with the GNS 530W V2.

Both do not work.

Also the procedure as described in the manual on page 24 does not work as in XP12 the CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+SPACE combination does nothing.

I have the latest plugin for XP12: 2.5.0.0 of Dec 21, 2022 and latest version of XP12

How do I turn off the auto update?

I am using the RealSimGear Garmin 430 and the RealityXP 430. When I turn the small button of the left rotary encoder, it is supposed to change the KHz part of the COM-Frequency. It does, but only in 25 KHz steps. The command, sent by the RealSimGear when using that encoder, is by default "sim/GPS/g430n2_fine_up=sim/GPS/g430n1_fine_up" and "..._fine_down", which produces 8.33 KHz-Steps on the X-Plane standard Garmin 430. When pushing the Encoder, I am able to change the NAV-Frequency. The default command works fine here.

To force the COM-frequency change on the smaller encoder to be 8.33 KHz, I changed the command in the CommandMapping.ini (of the RealSimGear Plugin) to "sim/GPS/g430n2_fine_down=sim/radios/stby_com1_fine_down_833" and "...._fine_up_833". Now, the RealityXP 430 has the correct frequency changes for COM just like the Built-In-Garmin. But now I cannot change the NAV-KHz at all using this encoder, so the solution is not perfect. I can, however, tune in NAV-Frequencies by using the "nearest" page and selecting them with the right rotary encoder and pressing ENT, but that is just a work around.

So, what is the correct way, to force RealityXP 430 to use 8.33 Stepping with the "...g430n1_fine_up" command?

I could have asked this in the RealSimGear-Forums as well, but as the hardware works fine with the default X-Plane Garmin, I assume it is a software related issue with the RealityXP (-settings). Most likely, not too hard to solve?!?
