	Hey guys,
</p>

<p>
	I’m trying to get a RealityXP GNS WAAS (PRO) setup working again and I’m stuck on the license.
</p>

<p>
	This is part of a <strong>BATD I bought second-hand</strong>, and it worked fine on the original computer. I moved everything over to a new machine and now the plugin loads but just says:
</p>

<p>
	<strong>“Could not be authenticated”</strong>
</p>

<hr />
<h3>
	Situation:
</h3>

<ul>
	<li>
		I have a <code>.lic</code> file from the old system
	</li>
	<li>
		I do NOT have the actual .key (and original owner has passed away and no one knows where the .key is)
	</li>
	<li>
		I also don’t have the original account login (original owner has passed away)
	</li>
	<li>
		I do have a full backup of the old system
	</li>
</ul>

<hr />
<h3>
	What I’ve already tried:
</h3>

<ul>
	<li>
		copied all RealityXP folders over
	</li>
	<li>
		copied ProgramData + X-PLANE 9 folders
	</li>
	<li>
		confirmed Garmin trainer is installed
	</li>
	<li>
		X-Plane is licensed and HASP is working
	</li>
	<li>
		tried the license transfer tool, but it requires the <code>.key</code> file
	</li>
</ul>

<hr />
<p>
	Still getting the same authentication error.
</p>

<hr />
<h3>
	Question:
</h3>

<p>
	Is there <em>any</em> way to recover or re-activate this license without the original <code>.key</code> or account?
</p>

<p>
	Or am I basically stuck needing a new license at this point?
</p>

<hr />
<p>
	Just trying to get this working the right way — any help appreciated.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks <span class="ipsEmoji">👍</span>

	Hi,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	When I use the 2D product with a separate popout screen, it works very well. But when I started VR (I use Quest mixed reality) 2D panel disappeared and started as a VR window. I still want to use it as a 2D panel with my extra monitor for mixed reality. Is that possible?
</p>

<p>

<p>
	Best Regards,

	Hello everyone,
</div>

<div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#0a0a0a;font-size:16px;">
	I’m reaching out to see if anyone else is experiencing a specific issue with the latest<span> </span><strong>AIRAC Cycle 2603</strong><span> </span>(International/Worldwide) on the<span> </span><strong>Reality XP GNS 530</strong><span> </span>(using Garmin Trainer data).
</div>

<div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#0a0a0a;font-size:16px;">
	I’ve noticed that the<span> </span><strong>RNP RWY 24</strong><span> </span>approach at<span> </span><strong>LSZG (Grenchen, Switzerland)</strong><span> </span>has completely disappeared from the procedure list in this cycle. Interestingly:
</div>

<ol style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#0a0a0a;font-size:16px;padding:0px;">
	<li style="padding:0px;">
		<span>The approach was perfectly available and working in<span> </span><strong>Cycle 2502</strong>.</span>
	</li>
	<li style="padding:0px;">
		<span>The IAF waypoint<span> </span><strong>ARVAN</strong><span> </span>is still present in the database and can be found via the WPT page.</span>
	</li>
	<li style="padding:0px;">
		<span>Other nearby airports like<span> </span><strong>LSZB (Bern)</strong><span> </span>show their new procedures correctly (including the new RNP Z 32).</span>
	</li>
	<li style="padding:0px;">
		<span>I have tried cleaning the Garmin Trainer cache (<code dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f0f2f5;border-color:#f0f2f5;border-style:solid;border-width:0.8px;font-size:14px;padding:2px 4px;">db.bin</code><span> </span>/<span> </span><code dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f0f2f5;border-color:#f0f2f5;border-style:solid;border-width:0.8px;font-size:14px;padding:2px 4px;">idx</code><span> </span>files) and reinstalling the data, but the list for LSZG remains empty (except for the VOR 24).</span>
	</li>
</ol>

<div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#0a0a0a;font-size:16px;">
	I suspect a coding change in Cycle 2603, possibly related to the<span> </span><strong>4.0° glide path</strong><span> </span>or the recent runway re-designation (25 to 24), causing the GNS software to filter out the procedure.
</div>

<div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#0a0a0a;font-size:16px;">
	Has anyone else noticed this "disappearing" approach at LSZG with the 2603 data? Is there a known workaround or a specific "flag" in the Jeppesen/Garmin source that triggers this filtering?
</div>

<div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#0a0a0a;font-size:16px;">
	Thanks for your insights!

<p>
	Given the support for this support seems non-existent and after looking through a lot of threads, I was hoping to see if anyone knew how to fix my issue. When using X Plane 12 and the C172, the GNS 430 does not sync when I load a direct destination, departure, approach, etc. on the GNS 530. I've checked the settings and the GNS 530 is set as the master, and I've also tried reinstalling everything but no luck.

	It is VERY likely I'm doing something wrong, so be patient with me ;). Here is my question: when I want to use the OBS button to set up hold I get a pop up window that allows me to specify the course I want to follow. In the real a/c I fly, I only get that window if I don't specify the fix and fly DIRECT to it. Once that fix and D is set, turning of the OBS dial (set to GPS on the VOR unit) adjusts the course according to my needs. In the Reality XP GNS 430 that doesn't happen. In oder to specify the Inbound I have to press the OBS button (on 430) again and manually enter the Inbound course (or any other I wish to fly). Am I doing something wrong?
</p>

<p>
	Example: I fly on the sim to a fix (DIRECT). I press the OBS button on GNS430 and a pop up window suggests the heading that will get me to the fix. Pressing Enter confirms that heading and establishes the magenta line. However, when I get to the fix and want to change that course to the Inbound, I have to go back to the OBS button (on 430) and manually dial that new course. In the real aircraft, I simply move the dial on the GPS-VOR unit and the magenta line moves along on 430.
</p>

<p>
	Equipment: X-Plane 12 with, Reality XP GNS430, AirManager instruments (GPS/VOR).
</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

	Using latest XP12 release, latest RXP (2.5.1.0 / 2.4.23.0), and flying an MP A36 w/six pack (a Bonanza), the vertical CDI is not showing up. This is during the 530's self-test at start-up, as well as in flight when flying precision approaches (RNAV LPV as well as traditional ILS).
</p>

<p>
	Basic settings from the RXP GNS 530 are master, connect GPS to AP, connect GPS to HSI, connect HSI/OBS, and connect CDI mode to NAV/GPS Switch.
</p>

<p>
	I am also running with a RealSimGear GNS 530.
</p>

<p>
	At one time, this all worked together nicely. Not sure when it stopped - I started practicing with my sim again a month or so again.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks for any suggestions.

	Decided to purchase the GNS530 for XP12. Noticed there was an advertised sale for 30% off through March '24 and went ahead and clicked on the "Download 30% Special Coupon" and saved the file to desktop. Then, through the eCommerce Installer, when i clicked to redeem coupon file i chose the file i had just saved to desktop. Then after providing my Personal Info and Banking Info i tried to finalize the purchase. It ran through the processing and came up and said that the order could not be processed since the coupon is expired. Apparently the 30% coupon link, that is advertised on the storefront, has you download an expired coupon. Ended up just paying full price after so much friction with trying to purchase this product. And before all of this i had to removed ALL antivirus/firewall software from my machine just to be able to use the eCommerce software.<br /><br />
	Now I am wishing i had never purchased the product.<br /><br />
	Very dissatisfied with the purchasing experience. Now i understand why RealityXP has been so polarizing over the past couple years over being considered an "abandonware" product with miserable support and little to no updates.<br /><br />
	The only way i can see RXP getting right on this matter is to reimburse me for the 30% off ($15) that I was incapable of using since a valid one was not possible to download. Even then, I do not see myself purchasing another product going forward. It's a real shame because i have been so happy with my GTN750 i purchased years ago.<br /><br />
	Obviously the $15 is not a big deal, but one would expect to have a close to friction-less experience when giving a SOFTWARE COMPANY your money. I'm guessing this message will just be sent out into the ether with little support/resolution, but oh well.<br /><br />
	Anyway, hope everyone has a great week and enjoy the virtual skies!!<br /><br />

	I attempted to contact you through your contact support form. After filling everything out I get the message that your form submitting process has gone unserviceable.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	During the install  process near the end it froze.<br />
	I have a key.<br />
	I tried to do a reinstall first using the key and when validating the PW (last 4 digits of my CCard your install program tells me the password is invalid.<br />
	I am then instructed to contact support. Which I attempt to do so - see first line of this post.
</p>

<p>
	So, I try the other way and no joy getting it reinstalled that way.. Firewall and VPN are paused.
</p>

<p>
	So, I have no idea how to proceed now. <br />
	I await your response.
</p>

<p>
	On this form under your box to be filled "timeframe" I have no idea what to do with that so i selected 1 month.<br />
	This product was purchased today.
</p>

<p>

<p>
	I have just spent 2 hours on this.

	It appears that all the links on the download pages are broken.  I'm attempting to download the installer, but I'm getting a connection refused from the following URL: <br /><a href="https://files.100megabyte.com/realityxp/rxpGNS2-530-XPL.exe" rel="external nofollow">https://files.100megabyte.com/realityxp/rxpGNS2-530-XPL.exe</a>
</p>

<p>
	Anyone have a copy of this file they can send me or know of an alternate download location?  I've tried sending a message to RXP through here, but I can't find any other way to contact support.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

<p>Hi, I'm pleased to announce the <strong>official GNS v2.2 release</strong>!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Most of you regular forum visitors mostly know what is new, but let me try to wrap it up in one place!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Here are the release notes:</p>
<ul>
<li>New: Configuration Panel GUI.</li>
<li>New: Import flight plans (Garmin .fpl format).</li>
<li>New: Export flight plans (Garmin .fpl format).</li>
<li>New: Use stock X-Plane GPS buttons and knobs.</li>
<li>New: Tutorial: Upgrade X-Plane 11 Baron 58 GPS</li>
<li>Enhanced: User's manual new sections and corrections.</li>
<li>Enhanced: Bug corrections and stability enhancements.</li>
</ul>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>A little bit more information:</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>The GTN menu has completely changed now that we have the configuration panel GUI. We've also deactivated automatic updates and added a manual "Check Updates..." menu option instead.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><img src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" alt="gns_menu.png" data-src="http://files.100megabyte.com/realityxp/images/forum/gns/gns_menu.png"></p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>The configuration panel GUI</strong> is a great addition to the product. With its modern interface it makes editing the INI file a thing of the past.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><img src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" alt="gns_settings_1.png" data-src="http://files.100megabyte.com/realityxp/images/forum/gns/gns_settings_1.png"></p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Import flight plan</strong> and <strong>Export flight plan</strong> is very handy especially when using external flight planning tools. This works with the native Garmin .fpl format.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The GNS installs a sample pack to get you started, along with a dedicated chapter in the user's manual.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Use stock X-Plane GPS buttons and knobs </strong>is a great step toward better panel integration and shines with the GNS V2.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Simply put: this feature alone is<strong> the killer app to integrating</strong> the GNS V2 to any XP11 and XP10 panels using the stock GPS 500 and GPS 400.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>To put this in action, <strong>the user's manual now includes a complete tutorial</strong> to guide you through replacing the XP11 Baron 58 GPS with the GNS 530W V2.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Here is what the end result looks like, with fully working knobs and keys:</p>
<p> </p>
<p><img src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" alt="gns_panel3d.jpg" data-src="http://files.100megabyte.com/realityxp/images/forum/gns/gns_panel3d.jpg"></p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>User's Manual:</strong> we've put additional efforts to the user's manual with more explanations, better pagination and proper sections.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><u>We encourage all of you to take the time to review and re-read the manual</u>, not only to discover the new features listed above, but also to discover some of the features you might have missed!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>As always, you just need to download the e-commerce installers from our website, or use the downloaded file from the auto-update panel, and then re-install over your existing installation.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>[uPDATE] FEB21/18:00Z: The installers has been re-uploaded to fix the missing folder causing the GNS blank screen.</p>

	<strong>How do I get the GNS430/530 integrated in the panel of the default C172 of XP12?<br />
	Whatever I do it stays locked to the screen positon, not to the posistion in the panel.</strong>

</p>

<p>
	Both do not work.
</p>

<p>
	Also the procedure as described in the manual on page 24 does not work as in XP12 the CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+SPACE combination does nothing.
</p>

<p>
	I have the latest plugin for XP12: 2.5.0.0 of Dec 21, 2022 and latest version of XP12
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Any idea how to solve it?</strong>

	I wonder if anyone has a good solution to hugely outdated databases for the Reality XP avionics. I use both GNS430 and GTN650 and some of the approach procedures have nothing to do with those in the real world (especially, RNAV). I excited about Navigraph, but my hopes were quickly dashed when I discovered that they don't support Reality XP. What do you do? Do you just live with the 'fresh' dbs from mid 2007-10?

<p>
	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	I am using the RealSimGear Garmin 430 and the RealityXP 430. When I turn the small button of the left rotary encoder, it is supposed to change the KHz part of the COM-Frequency. It does, but only in 25 KHz steps. The command, sent by the RealSimGear when using that encoder, is by default "sim/GPS/g430n2_fine_up=sim/GPS/g430n1_fine_up" and "..._fine_down", which produces 8.33 KHz-Steps on the X-Plane standard Garmin 430. When pushing the Encoder, I am able to change the NAV-Frequency. The default command works fine here.
</p>

<p>
	To force the COM-frequency change on the smaller encoder to be 8.33 KHz, I changed the command in the CommandMapping.ini (of the RealSimGear Plugin) to "sim/GPS/g430n2_fine_down=sim/radios/stby_com1_fine_down_833" and "...._fine_up_833". Now, the RealityXP 430 has the correct frequency changes for COM just like the Built-In-Garmin. But now I cannot change the NAV-KHz at all using this encoder, so the solution is not perfect. I can, however, tune in NAV-Frequencies by using the "nearest" page and selecting them with the right rotary encoder and pressing ENT, but that is just a work around.
</p>

<p>
	So, what is the correct way, to force RealityXP 430 to use 8.33 Stepping with the "...g430n1_fine_up" command?
</p>

<p>
	I could have asked this in the RealSimGear-Forums as well, but as the hardware works fine with the default X-Plane Garmin, I assume it is a software related issue with the RealityXP (-settings). Most likely, not too hard to solve?!?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance.
</p>

<p>
	Martin
