RXP GNS 530W/430W V2

Hello, I wondered if someone could test the GNS in their sim and see if the TED waypoint is available? It's a VOR station at the PANC (Anchorage Alaska) airport. It seems to be missing my from setup. It seems odd that a VOR at a major airport like PANC would be missing from the Garmin sim dataset. I tried loading the Garmin GNS530 simulator program outside of the sim, but I can't seem to power the unit on. The program opens, and the screen says "Press the Power / COM volume knob to power on the unit." but nothing happens when I click the knob. The TED VOR is available in the GTN trainer dataset, just missing from the GNS. Thanks!

if i have the latest gtn 650 installed will i have problems with the 430/530? i see a post about database issues?

Hi, after the garmin light installation, the screen "please wait while setup install XP garmin GNS V2...etc" freezes and the installation abords. Could help me ti fix this issue? [edited to remove personal information]

RXP, had some install errors come up - FYI.... Still no joy after installing the updated V2.2. I even uninstalled Reality XP software and reinstall, no joy. I reinstalled Garmin trainer, no joy. I did how ever find that with my P3D Garmin trainer version it does comes on, BUT not the Garmin GNS Trainer Lite software for Xplane. I was unable to turn on the trainer software. I think here is the problem. How can we fix this? thanks! Richard

I have missed something obvious. (Help Please). I down loaded the GNS530XP Ver 2 and installed it successfully. Running X-Plane 10.5 with Seneca PA34 and I get the GNS530XP panel come up. So far so good. Master Switch is on, Avionics Master is on (and the X-Plane GNS530 is alive and working. but despite rotating the PWR VOL control (and observing it rotating) I cannot get the GNS530XP to switch on, just a blank screen. What have I missed??? Pete Dobson

I take it that these are stand alone GPS Windows and can not replace the GPS in the 3D Cockpit like they did in FSX? Beat Regards, Dale Reitz

I am running the GNS 530W on X-PLANE 10.51. When it powers up, it will lock up after the second OK button entry (after doing the self check). It will not go any further. I have uninstalled both the trainer and the GNS plugin and nothing fixes the issue. Any idea on this one?

I don't see anything for hardware except for PFC listed. Does the new Reality XP GNS 530 V2 for X plane 11 work with Emuteq's 530 hardware? If not then please make it compatible. thanks! Richard

i know the rxp versions have much more functionality than the stock 430/530, but is it stuff that folk would really use on a regular basis? seems to me the stock has most things i would use regularly. i get the logic of developing and purchasing the gtn ( just got the 650) but struggling to see the logic of the 430/530? translate the above to read "tell me some stuff that may persuade me otherwise" :-)

I do not know if it should work this way but the GNS 530 and 430 power up from the AVIONICS MASTER SWITCH even when the BATTERY MASTER SWITCH is OFF. In a cold a dark cockpit like the Cessna 172 just switch on the AVIONICS MASTER SWITCH and GNS comes on. Do we not need to put the battery on or ground supply first?

Hi, In x-plane 11 I am trying to get the Window view with no bezel, but when I set this up nobezel = true in the ini file nothing is shown any more, its strange because I can catch the edged to resize but nothing is shown. I tried the same in x-plane 10 and it works fine. Could you please look into this I think its a question of layer or z coordinate of the GNS530, as if it is behind and not infront of the x-plane 11 external view. Thanks Ian

Hi, Not sure if this is the same for everybody but my GNS530 turn on automatically when I turn on the Avionic power. Could we have the GNS Power button working and be able to turn on and off the GNS530 independently from the Avionics power. Also is there a way to not have the MSG appear reminding us we are not in a real aircraft. I do not see the point. Thanks Ian

Hi, Please note there is known bug in X-Plane 11 with the plugin menu system not working properly. They have documented it in their release notes, so until they fix this in the beta, you must understand the following: 1) You can use the xp11/plugin/Reality XP GNS menu to open a GNS 530W/430W V2 in any aircraft 2) You cannot use the menu to remove the GNS nor to select its options (entries gets shifted in position in the menu list - the bug) 3) Once a GNS V2 device is selected in an aircraft, you can manually edit the self-commented RealityXP.GNS.INI file in your aircraft folder to change the options as you wish. 4) Change or reload the aircraft for the…

Can anyone confirm if the GPS window can be saved on a second monitor on a per aircraft basis? I have an Emuteq 530 and would like to have it save the position without re dragging the pop-up for every flight.

Great! I used these gauges for countless hours in FSX. Does the X-Plane version come with a config tool, to put the gauges into an aircraft without too much hassle?

Hi, Just purchased GNS530 v2 installed it into x-plane 11, but not plugins folder was created in x-plane 11 and nothing is happening in the simulator. the plugin does install it self into my x-plane 10 folder, then I can copy the plugin iunto my x-plane 11 and I get my GNS530 please can you check your installation file and tell us what to do, is there any differences in the plugin bertween the versions ? thanks ian
