RXP GNS 530W/430W V2

Just wondering if anyone is using the RXP stuff in either of these aircraft, and if so, if installation/setup was straightforward... thanks

Hello, Does this error look familiar to anyone? G530SIM.exe crashes on X-Plane 10 and 11 Win10 64 each and every time I shut down the program. I'm not finding enough information to trace the problem (tried using Process Explorer and DebugView but I don't what I'm looking for.) There aren't many plugins installed: Reality Expansion packs and Gizmo for the Saab 340. Garmin Trainer is installed in c:\Garmin. I tried deleting the "memory" file. It must be something with my particular computer setup. Any insights are much appreciated. I have been using the Desktop Aviators 2670 panel with the native GPS in X-plane 11 and it is a great add on external module. It has knobs and buttons outside the sim that feel more natural than using the keyboard and/or mouse. They were not sure that the their panel would work with Reality XP GNS units. I can confidently communicate that it “does” work….. It works with either the Reality GNS530 and/or the GNS430. Thanks to Reality XP they have included a command "Use Simulator GPS commands" that allows this to work. A. Folks, I have just inserted both GNS 530's & 430's in my XPlane aircraft all of which worked just as described in the instructions. I did however, make a utility to aid in calculating the Left,Top,Width & Height points for easy insertion. It worked flawlessly. I followed all of the instructions from RXP's PDF pages 15 & 16 to the T. Plugged in my results and wham every aircraft worked perfectly. The biggest issue I had was the instruction "height of Panel_Preview.png" which is actually the height of the total texture sheet. so i had a play with drawing the rxp 530 screen on top of the laminar 530 in the STMA PC12. it displays, but i must have the numbers wrong, because its way out from where it shold be. the two numbers worked out from the panel preview give an xand y co-ords of where to graw the screen? maybe i got them wrong, but what do the other two numbers mean? will have another fiddle around tomorrow. cheers ximm

Help! I've been away from my sim for a while, and upon trying to fly again today, I've found that I'm unable to use my GNS 530/430. Aircraft with config files don't open the GNS unit, and in the menu, under 'RealityXP GNS' I get "GNS: Failed to Open Simulation" instead of the usual menu options. I've updated X-Plane to the current version 11.02.r2. I re-installed the RXP plugin, and also removed and re-installed the GNS trainer software. Neither worked. I've been using the RXP plugin for a long time, and never had any problems. Something must have changed, but I'm unable to figure out what happened. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can the GNS530/430 read any other format than .fpl? I do not think so but wanted to clarify. Thank you.

Cant get XP to install after download, I cant get though the setup. I keep getting "Make sure you choose the folder where X-Plane.exe is located" I believe I picked the right one but no go. Is there a number for tech support? frustrated

I purchased the "old" 430 and 530 Reality XP gauges and still have the downloaders, license keys, etc. I want to use them in X-Plane 11, but the installer refuses to install in the X-Plane 11 folder ("not a valid X-Plane 10 folder"). Which is true, but I guess there must be a way to install them into X-Plane 11. I don't want to pay again for a product I already purchased a few years ago and that technically should still work. Any hints? Thanks

I'm running the XP11 (demo) C172 with the RXP 430W. I get the message "OBS mode not available" each time I press the OBS button. Is OBS mode not supported with the 430W? what about the 530W?
